Michael Lee McCallister
SALEM - Michael Lee McCallister, 50, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2020 surrounded by his family after a battle with lung cancer.
He was born December 13, 1969 in Canton, son of the late Delbert Clarence McCallister Sr. and Anita (Fish) Davis. Michael attended Salem City Schools and graduated in 1989 from United Local High School in Hanoverton where he excelled in Track and Field, especially hurdles and relays. He holds several records at Salem and United Local Schools. Michael was last employed at CMI Efco.
He was a life - long fan of the San Francisco 49ers football organization, loved listening to '80s hairband music, enjoyed playing video games and hanging out with his faithful canine companion, Sheeba.
Survivors include his son, Devan Aire (Symone Scott) McCallister of Boardman; daughter, Abbigail Swinehart of Columbiana; two brothers, Delbert Clarence (Christine) McCallister Jr. and John Edward (Kimberly Morgan) McCallister, both of Salem; sister, Paula Ann (Galen) Brandt of Hanoverton; one granddaughter, Lila Rose McCallister of Boardman; two nephews, Ryan Daniel (Amanda Toomey) McCallister of Salem and Coty James Chestnut of Alliance; two nieces, Brianne Sue (Chad) Sampson of Salem and Jacqueline Marie (Jennifer) Dividio of Beloit and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Besides his parents, an infant sister, Pam and stepfather, Charles Davis also preceded him in death. No service or calling hours will be held. A celebration of life will be held next week for the family.

Nancy Emch Koenreich
SALEM - Nancy Emch Koenreich, 89, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at Blossom Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born May 14m 1931 in Ottawa County, daughter of the late Eldon L. and Gusta (Faber) Emch. Nancy graduated from Wittenberg University and was in the Alpha Delta Pie Sorority.
She was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church where she participated in their sewing circle and church circle. Her husband, Frederick W. Koenreich Jr. whom she married December 27, 1952 preceded her in death July 2, 2013.
Survivors include three daughters, Margaret 'Peg' (Don) Kleinhenz, Susan (Patrick) Raney and Elizabeth (Tim) Ruh; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A private graveside service will be held later at Grandview Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Holy Trinity Church, 1089 E. State St., Salem, OH 44460.

Shirley Peak
Hanoverton - Shirley Peak, age 72 passed away Monday August 31 2020 at Community Care Center in Alliance with her loving family at her side after a lengthy illness.
She was born May 12, 1948 to the late Alvin Brown and Ellen Freeman Brown. She is survived by her Daughters; Sandy (Phillip) Applegate, Rebecca (Steve) Dalehite, Sons; Scott (Ruth) Foster, Andy (Tina)Foster, Brothers; Roy (Fran) Brown, Rusty Brown, Grandchildren; Michael, Tffany, Phillip, William, Allen, Justin, Sarah, Lilly, Mason, Hunter, Great - Grandchildren; Christopher, Abby, Alawna, Jerry, Mikey, Bryson, Mac, Adonis, Greyson, Bella, Emmitt, and Lucas. In addition to her Parents she was preceded in death by a Sister; Vera Brown, and a Grandson; Christopher. Shirley was a graduate of Southern Local High School and Vatterott College. She was a member of Bethesda Presbyterian Church and Presbyterian Women. She loved singing the hymns and through that influenced her kids love of music .She was an avid reader and enjoyed tending to her flowers. She will be fondly remembered as a happy woman with a good sense of humor and a beautiful smile.
She was an amazing God fearing Christian woman who was very dedicated to her family. Per her request cremation will take place. Celebration of Life information will be updated when available.

Eleanor D. Kampfer, 83, of Salem passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at Auburn Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a period of declining health.
She was born February 7, 1937 in Pruntytown, WV, daughter of the late George and Anna (Cooper) Gall. Eleanor was a 1955 graduate of Lisbon High School.
She married Paul E. Kampfer, October 9, 1960. He preceded her in death in 2010. Eleanor worked as secretary at Electric Furnace until her marriage, then raised her family. She then worked at Damascus Friends Church, where she was a member, and served as secretary for 32 years, retiring in 2002.
She was a member of Damascus Magazine Club where she served as President for many years. Eleanor volunteered at Salem Regional Medical Center, Mahoning County Board of Elections, The Red Cross blood drives, Damascus Ruritan Rabies Clinic and Damascus Friends Church nursery.
She was a member of Mahoning County Farm Bureau and Goshen/Smith Grange. Eleanor loved to sew and did alterations for many family members, neighbors and friends.
She loved to travel and with her husband, visited Switzerland eight times. She is survived by her children, Christopher (Diane) Kampfer of Salem and Margie (Robert) Butzer of Orrville; grandchildren, Jonathan (Nicole) Kampfer and Karen Kampfer, both of Beloit; one great-granddaughter, Ryleigh Kampfer; one step great grandson, Lance Myers; brothers Franklin (Virginia) Gall of Salem, David (Nancy Ann) Gall of East Rochester, and Roger (Lois) Gall of East Rochester; sister, Nancy (Tom) Crawford of Salem and many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of both Brookdale Salem Senior Living and Auburn Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their kind and gentle care during the past year. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 7, 2020 at Stark Memorial with Pastor Rick Brendlinger officiating.
Calling hours will be held from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. Sunday, September 6, 2020 and from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Monday prior to the service at the funeral home. Mary Lou White
Columbiana - Mary Lou White, 93, passed away Thursday morning, August 27, 2020 at Parkside Healthcare in Columbiana. Mary Lou was born on August 15, 1927 in Howland Township, a daughter of the late Alvin John and Mary (Martin) Vinyard.
She was a graduate of Niles High School and worked in the Matthews School District for 25 years before retiring. Shortly after high school she married the love of her life Gene L. White on November 21, 1947.
She was an avid reader, a trait she inherited from her father, and she enjoyed making afghans for her family and friends. Mary Lou will be deeply missed by her son, Harry White of Huntsville, AL; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and sister Vi Walters from Allen Park, MI.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene White who passed away on August 17, 2003; her sons, Danny and Alvin White; and her sister, Arlene Winterbauer. Family and friends may visit from 2 - 3:00PM on Friday September 4, 2020 at Lane Family Funeral Homes - Madasz Chapel located at 6923 Warren - Sharon Road in Brookfield, with funeral services to follow at 3:00PM Burial will take place at Belmont Park Cemetery in Liberty Township.

James Richard Householder
East Rochester - James Richard Householder, age 86 passed away Thursday, August 27th surrounded by his loving family after an extended illness.
He was born October 22, 1933 to the late Ernest Householder and Bertha (Carman) Heuer. He is survived by Sons; Freddie L. (Rebecca) Householder of East Rochester and James B. (Fiancée Sabrina Tompulis) Householder of Minerva. Grandchildren: Kimberly (Compton) Girdharry and Children; Noah, Joel, and Lillyanna, Bobbi (Ronald) McCullough and Children; Grace, Hope, and Faith, Kenneth (Amanda) Householder and Children; Pryde, Avery, August, Annamae, Kylee, Brooke, Sophia, Corey (Cassandra) Householder and Children; Savannah and Maximus, Shelby Berry and Children; Jamison, Micah, and Nova, Nicholas (Fiancée Kayla Horner) Householder, Destiny Householder, Sister; Shirley (Steve) Warth, Brothers; Carl (Deb) Heuer and Duane (Juanita) Householder all from Minerva. Brother-in-laws; Dave (Sheila) Rogers of Ravenna, Dale (Dorothy) Rogers of Alliance and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his Parents he was preceded in death by his Wife; Myra Jane Householder, Daughter; Darlene Kay Householder, Sister; Linda Huhn and Brother; Gerald Householder. James often wore an unforgettable smile and is well known amongst his family and friends for his lively sense of humor to which he freely shared, even in spite of life's worst circumstances. He found great pleasure and pride in the simplicity's of his life. Married to Myra on December 13, 1952, James and his late wife had a great love for music and dancing. They had an unforgettable talent that showcased amazing jitterbug skills. James also served in the United States Navy on the U.S.S. Albany during the Cuban Crisis. Displaying a strong work ethic, he retired after 38 years from Republic Steel. He left behind a legacy of love given to his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Per his request Cremation will take place and a Graveside Memorial will be held September 9, 2020 at 2pm at East Lawn Cemetery in Minerva with Aultman Alliance Hospice Chaplain Freddie Rodriquez officiating. A Celebration of Life will take place September 12, 2020 at 4pm at Bayard Grange, 24222 US RT 30 Minerva, Ohio. Thank you to the Aultman Alliance Hospice team for making his last days comfortable.

Robert Allen Park, Sr.
Washingtonville - Robert Allen Park, Sr. age 81, of Washingtonville, died on Sunday, August 30, 2020 at Salem Regional Medical Center, Salem.
He was born on February 10, 1939 in Youngstown, OH, son of the late William and Virginia McHenry Park. Robert was Christian by faith and served in the U.S Army.
He was a 1957 graduate of Struthers High School and worked for Cold Metal Products. He enjoyed the outdoors, specifically hunting and fishing Robert is survived by his wife, Diane McMillan Park, whom he had been with for 35 years and married on June 21, 2020; daughter, Suzanne (Steven) Hoffee of Salem; son, Robert Allen Park, Jr. of East Rochester; step daughter, Dawne Grubb of East Rochester, OH; step sons, Robby Graffius and Jeff (Katie) Graffius of Salem; fifteen grandchildren, Heather, Elizabeth, Robin, Steven, Jake, Leigha, Hayden, Camryn, Timmy, Tommy, Tori, Samantha, Melissa, Luke, Levi; four great-grandchildren, Charlie, Aubrey, Maddie, Carson and a cousin, Barbara Allen.
He was preceded in death by a step daughter, Jennifer Reaggle.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm and on Thursday, September 3, 2020 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at the Warrick - Kummer - Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana. In order to help ensure the safety of all, face masks will be required, and social distancing guidelines will be followed. Services will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2020, at 11:00 am at the Warrick - Kummer - Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana, with Reverend Gabriel Norris officiating. Burial will take place at Columbiana Cemetery, Columbiana. Military Honors will be accorded by the Benjamin Firestone Post #290 American Legion Honor Guard.
Charles R. 'Dick' Stanley
ROGERS - Charles R. 'Dick' Stanley, 90, died Sunday, August 30, 2020 at Salem Regional Medical Center.
He was born May 9, 1930 in Youngstown, son of the late Clifford E. and Velma Merry (Hall) Stanley. Dick traveled and lived in his RV throughout the years.
He was an electrician and last worked for the Dayton School system for 15 years, retiring in 1995. Dick was a member of the Local IBEW 82 and an active square dancer. Dick served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. His wife, Lois Jean (Stratton) Stanley, whom he married June 20, 1954 preceded him in death September 24, 2014.
Survivors include two daughters, Lucinda J. (Lloyd) Willis of Rogers and Rachel A. Stanley of Saint Petersburg, FL; two sons, Charles R. (Sherri) Stanley of Ocala, FL and David (Linda) Stanley of Maineville; four sisters, Ann Medford of North Carolina, Nelda Hawkins of Columbiana, Beverly 'Skip' Wetherald of Columbiana, and Barbara Newlin of Salem; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents and wife, Dick was preceded in death by one son, James E. Stanley and one grandchild. Memorial contributions may be made to The Hole in the Wall Camp, 565 Ashford Center Rd., Ashford, CT 06278. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Kory Pierre Emery Sr.
Kory Pierre Emery Sr., 59, Salem,(formerly of Stark County, N.C., GA. and Fl. beloved Father and Grandpa passed away unexpectedly on August 25, 2020. Kory was born July 10, 1961 in Dos Palos, California, the son of the late LeRoy and Jackie (Macauley) Emery.
He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed watching sports.
He was involved in coaching and being an active role in his children's and grandchildren's lives. He served our military as a member of the U.S. Army. He had worked at various places over the years, Including WalMart, a Sheriff's office in Georgia and Laying blacktop. He is survived by his significant other Shirley Simpson, 3 daughters and 2 sons; Jacquelynn (Steve) Williams of Canton, OH, Rebecca (Cory) of Salem, OH, Kory P. Emery Jr, Franklin, NC, Kayla Emery, Franklin, NC and Alexander Emery, Franklin, NC. 5 grandchildren; Macenzi, Ethan, Thomas, Xavier and Damien. 2 brothers; Mike Emery, Orlando, FL, Joe (Terry) Emery, Leesburg, FL, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Leroy Emery Jr. and a sister Valerie (Emery) Bess. There will be no public services or visitation held. There will be a private family service and military honors provided by the Salem Honor Guard on Thursday.
James Harrison Rogers Jr,
James Harrison Rogers Jr, 96, of Salem, died on Sunday, August 23, 2020, at 11:15 PM at Blossom Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born on March 13, 1924 in Keyser, West Virginia, the son of the late James H. Sr. and Jennie (Smith) Rogers. Jim served in the US Army during WW2 and Korean Wars. He graduated from West Virginia University with a Master's Degree in Pharmaceuticals, later working as a Pharmaceutic Representative for Ciba - Gieby and He serviced western PA and Eastern Ohio. He had also served as an Ohio State Highway Patrolman in the early '50s. Once he retired, he enjoyed traveling all over including Europe. Jim was also a member of the Salem Emmanuel Lutheran Church. He is survived by his three children; J. Daniel Rogers of Salem, J. Mark Rogers of Poland, and M. Bruce Rogers of Canfield, as well as two grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Elaine L. (Engeter) Rogers, who he married on June 15, 1952, and siblings John S. Rogers, Robert A Rogers, Virginia Perry, and Warren Rogers. Services will be held on Friday, 1:30 Pm at Arbaugh - Pearce - Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services with Pastor Alan Smearol of the church officiating. The Salem Honor Guard will offer military honors at the beginning of the services. The burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery.
