Eugene R. Culler
SALEM - Eugene R. Culler, 81, died Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at Courtyard of Lexington.
He was born September 9, 1938 in Kensington, son of the late Harmon and Ida Belle (Grise) Culler. Gene was a graduate of Fairfield High School. He served in the United States Army. He retired in 2005 from General Motors Lordstown, where he worked as a coordinator for 40 years. He also worked for Dad's Dog Food for 25 years. After retirement he worked for the Moritz Private Security Co. He attended Southeast Friends Church and was a member of the Tuesday Early Mixed Bowling League.
Survivors include his wife, Vivian Sell - Culler, whom he married in 1992; two daughters, Kathleen (Jim) LaManna of Maple Heights, and Barbara Jo Culler of Salem; three stepsons, Raymond (Sandy) Sell of Columbiana, Michael (Helena) Sell of Boardman, Scott (Jo Lin) Sell of Canfield; six grandchildren, Brianna, Vincent and Victoria LaManna and Brandy Dean, Travis Culler and NavaJo Culler; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Ann Bartholomew of Lisbon and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by three brothers, Melvin, Wilford, and Floyd Culler and three sisters, Pearl Pearson, Maritta Carroll and Carol Guethle. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 28, 2020 at Stark Memorial with Pastor Jan Winnale officiating.
Calling hours will be held from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. For the safety of the Culler family and visitors, please adhere to social distancing, and bring your own mask. Burial will be at the Highland Memorial Park Cemetery in Beloit.
Josephine Redinger
Josephine Redinger 77, of Salem, died at 2:22 PM Monday, August 24, 2020 at Mercy Health - St. Elizabeth Hospital Boardman Campus.
She was born on February 26, 1943 in Salem, the daughter of the late Fred G. and Mary Frances (Varinaitis) Redinger.
She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Salem and a 1961 Graduate of Greenford High School. Josephine has been a resident of Ivy Woods in North Lima for nearly 20 years. She is survived by her nieces and nephew; Angela (Gary) Bayda, Michelle Ossmann and Joseph (Christine) Ossmann all of Salem, great nieces and nephews; Jessica (daniel) Bove, Mary Bayda, Brandon Bayda, Catherine Ossmann, Erica Simmons and Christopher Ossmann, Great great nieces and nephews Ann Rosa Bove and Logan Bove. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her siblings, Rose Mary Ossmann, Cornelia 'Fi Fi' Redinger, Fred J. and Robert Redinger. There will be a 11 AM Mass held on Thursday at St. Paul's Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Robert Edwards officiating. The burial will immediately follow in Grandview.
Enid Lorraine (Kentzel) Feicht
Enid Lorraine (Kentzel) Feicht, 89, of Salem (Green Twp.) died at 3:02 AM Monday, August 24, 2020, following complications from a fall in June.
She was born on June 16, 1931 in Salem, Ohio. The daughter of the late Harry M. and Edythe (Rogers) Kentzel. Enid was a 1949 Graduate of Greenford High School and a 1952 Graduate of the Salem Hospital School of Nursing where she received her RN degree.
She was a House Nursing Supervisor at Salem Community Hospital for over 55 years. She was a former Baptized member of the Greenford Christian Church where she had taught Sunday School and helped start the first Junior Church. Enid was a member of the committee to help run the first ever referendum ballot, in the state of Ohio regarding school mergers, in 1968. She is survived by her children, Kevin Leigh (Martha) Feicht of Lowellville, Lisa Lorraine Feicht of Cleveland and Gyll (Paul) Goehring of Industry, PA., and six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, sisters, Martha Loar of Austintown, Eunice Core of Orlando, Fla., and Carol Davis of Salem. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Walter E. Feicht on February 29, 2000 and one great-grandchild. Enid was very specific on how she wanted her services to be handled. There will be no public visitation or services held. There will be a private family gathering at the Arbaugh - Pearce - Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services. She will then be buried in Green Township (Christian Church) Cemetery. Norman James Becka Sr.
Norman James Becka Sr., 92, of Salem passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2020. Norman was born in St. Louis Missouri on December 7, 1927 to the late Cyril and Mary (Skortz) Becka. Norman was a United States Army Veteran serving in the Korean War and received the Purple Heart as well as Merchant Marine Veteran. After serving our great country he worked and retired as a Glazier. Norman is survived by his children Mary Louise Strid, Norman Becka Jr., and Toni Coombes; grandchildren Cassie, Alexis, Nicholas, Kristen and Breanna.
Besides his parents Norman was preceded in death by a sister Mary Speck and two brothers Robert and Richard Becka.
A private family service will take place at a later date.

Robert Guy Feezle, Sr.
East Palestine - Robert Guy Feezle, Sr., age 77, of East Palestine, died on Monday, August 24, 2020 at his home in East Palestine.
He was born on February 7, 1943 in East Palestine, OH, son of the late George and Jeannette Knowles Feezle. Robert had worked as a Foreman with IMS until retirement and was a member of the Enon Valley Christian Church. He enjoyed playing cards and coaching his boys baseball teams and taking family vacations. Robert is survived by his wife, Deanna Deal Feezle, whom he married on February 19, 1962; four sons, Andrew (Melody) Feezle of Waynesburg, Mark (Yvonne) Feezle of Ravenna, Robert Guy (Kimberly) Feezle Jr. of Edinburg, PA and James (Sandy) Feezle of Bessemer, PA; one sister; five brothers; nineteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Van Dyke - Swaney - Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine. Services will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2020, at 8:00 pm at the Van Dyke - Swaney - Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine, with Mr. Jason Pancake, Minister officiating.
Michael S. Hodges
Michael S. Hodges, 66, of Salem, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2020, at Salem Regional Medical Center. Michael was born in Huntington, West Virginia on October 3, 1953, to Harry and Doris (Robinson) Hodges. He had an accomplished life despite his contracting polio at one year of age. Michael graduated in 1972 from North High School in Youngstown, Ohio. He went on to earn a Bachelor's in Library Science at Kent State University, a Master's in History at the University of Arizona, and a Bachelor's in Theology at Liberty University. Michael was a member of Lowellville Christian Church. Michael loved puzzles, crafts, classic movies, animals, history and spending time with his family. He leaves to cherish his memory, his father Harry (Peggy); his sister Pamela (Thomas) Powell; his nephew David (Nicole) Powell; his niece Jennifer (Carmen) Decerbo; and his great nieces and nephews Angelina, Robbie, Nicky, Marcus, and Lucia.
Besides his mother Doris, Michael is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents. Per his wishes, there will be no services and he will be interred at Highland Memorial Gardens in South Point Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to an animal shelter or rescue of your choice. The family would like to thank Blossom Nursing Home and the Intensive Care Unit at Salem Regional Medical Center for their compassionate care of Michael.
Scott Allen Roberts
Scott Allen Roberts, 57, of Salem, died at 2:45 AM on Thursday, August 20, 2020, at his home following a short illness.
He was born on November 4, 1962, in Salem, the son of the late Harry and Virginia (Stout) Roberts. He worked at American Standard for the last 24 years as a Leader in the acrylics Department. Scott was a great sports enthusiast and followed all the Cleveland teams. He always found time to spend with his children, work on the house and play with his Trans Am Fire Hawk. There was always time to kick back and listen to his rock and roll music like AC/DC or just watch He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Mary Jane (Dennis) Roberts, children Scott Allen (Samantha) Roberts II of Canal Fulton, Daniel Lee and Justin Allen Roberts both of Salem, siblings John Roberts of King Mountain, NC, Jean (Jim) Harris of Dunnellen, Florida, Barbara Miller of Wellsville, Nancy Webb and Donald Roberts both of Salem, and five grandchildren. In addition to his parents, h was preceded in death by three siblings, James and Jerry Roberts, and Janet Seddon. A Celebration of Life Services will be held on Monday, August 24, 2020, 6 PM at the Arbaugh - Pearce - Greenisen Ans Sons Funeral and Cremation Services with Pastor Terry Kirsch officiating. A time of visitation will be held from 4 - 6 Pm on Monday. Due to Covid - 19, A mask will be required to be worn in the building. Please bring a mask and maintain social distancing.
Edgard Nieto, Sr.
East Palestine, OH - Edgard Nieto, Sr., 45, of East Palestine, passed away early Thursday morning, August 20, 2020 at the Hospice House after a three year courageous battle with colon cancer. Edgard was born on July 5, 1975 in Pittsburgh, PA, son of Victor Nieto and Norma Cuellar Nieto. Edgard worked as a business sales consultant for Verizon Communications. He enjoyed auto racing events, gaming with his children and traveling.
He was also an avid Grateful Dead enthusiast.
Besides his parents, Dr. Victor (Jan) Nieto of Butler, PA and Norma Nieto of Seven Fields, Pa, he is survived by his wife, the former, Cathy Cunningham, whom he married on June 14, 2008; his son, Edgard Nieto, Jr. of East Palestine; three daughters, Stella Nieto of East Palestine, Haileigh Hawk of Panama City Beach, FL and Mykenzee Hawk of East Palestine; and a sister, Norma B. Nieto of Pittsburgh, PA. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 24, 2020 from 3 - 7 pm at the Van Dyke - Swaney - Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine, OH. To protect the families that we serve, our staff, and you, our neighbors and friends, we ask that visitors use face masks and follow the social distancing protocol. Private services will be held with Pastor Kari Lankford officiating. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date in Butler, PA.
Donald Eugene Maloney
SALEM - Donald Eugene Maloney, age 78, passed away Monday, August 10, 2020.
He was born May 25, 1942 in Salem, son of the late Anthony C. and Adeline (Burrillo) Maloney. Don was born and raised in Salem and graduated from Salem High School. After high school, he served in the United States Army from 1960 - 1965. He worked as an auto repairman for many years. In 1969, he took a job at Church Budget Envelope and Mailing Company, retiring in 2004. Don married Anna Faye Collins in 1967. They are life - long members of St. Paul Catholic Church in Salem. He enjoyed church, trains, puzzles, word searches and working with tools and car parts. Don is survived by his wife, Anna Maloney of Salem; son, Tom (Sandra Farmer) Maloney of Boardman; granddaughter, Neli Maloney of Boardman; brother, Edward A. Maloney of Warren; a niece, Mary Toepfer of Warren; one nephew, Chuck Maloney of Sarver, PA and several great nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 21, 2020 at Stark Memorial with Lou Newton officiating. Buddy Gene Stiffler
SALEM - Buddy Gene Stiffler, 73, died Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born May 9, 1947 in Bedford, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Paul and Pearl (Welsh) Stiffler. Buddy retired from Ort Furniture.
He was a member of the Slovak Club, enjoyed buckle collecting, loved watching WWE wrestling, enjoyed sitting on the porch and going to garage sales. His wife, Marie (Faulkner) Stiffler whom he married March 24, 1975 preceded him in death August 30, 2016.
Survivors include his son, Paul (Mary) Stiffler of Leetonia; stepdaughter, Shelly (Scott) Shingleton of SC; sisters, Shirley Griffin and Connie (Gail) Lester, both of Salem; brother, John Stiffler of Salem; grandchildren, Paul, Kyle, Hunter, Harley, Kathrine, Lisa, Cody, Kyra, Mia. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Stark Memorial.
