Paul R. Sevenich
LEETONIA - Paul R. Sevenich, 81, of Leetonia, died at 1:15 p.m. Saturday, May 9, 2020 at Crandall Medical Center, Sebring. Mr. Sevenich was born on October 6, 1938 in Salem, OH, a son of the late Karl and Josephine Wilson Sevenich and had lived in this area all of his life.
He was a graduate of Leetonia High School and received his bachelor's degree from Youngstown State University. He had been employed as a mechanical engineer for various companies including Bliss, Butech Bliss, Wheeling Pitt, Crucible Steel and Weirton Steel.
He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He had also served on the Mt. Calvary Cemetery Board for many years and enjoyed working at the cemetery on various projects. He is survived by his two sons, Bryan (Ann) Sevenich of Columbiana, and Shawn (Tracey) Sevenich of Leetonia; a brother, Francis W. (Marty) Sevenich of Leetonia; and three grandsons, Ryan Sevenich, Robert Sevenich, and Ian (Emily) Sevenich of Leetonia. A Funeral Mass for Paul will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Reverend Robert Edwards officiating. Burial will take place at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Leetonia. Due to the COVID - 19 situation, the family understands that several of Paul's friends are unable to attend the Mass and they ask instead for their prayers. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mount Calvary Cemetery Association.

Gerald G. Beltempo
COLUMBIANA - Gerald G. Beltempo, age 89, of Columbiana, formerly of Leetonia, died at 3:18 a.m. Sunday, May 10, 2020 at Salem Regional Medical Center, Salem.
He was born on November 29, 1930 in Salem, OH, son of the late Gerald and Mildred Sanlo Beltempo and had lived in the area all of his life. Mr. Beltempo was a licensed insurance agent representing Kemper Insurance. He had also worked at the former Dan Dee Chip Company and was a bus driver for Leetonia Schools.
He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. He enjoyed golfing, playing cards and was an avid Notre Dame fan. His wife, Lois M. Lanterman Beltempo, whom he married on June 21, 1952, preceded him in death on November 14, 2014. He is survived by his son, Jerry A. (Connie) Beltempo of Salem; his daughter, Bonnie L. (Ray) Steeb of Columbiana; two granddaughters, Kaitlin Steeb of Boardman and Brynn Pennell of Columbiana; and a son-in-law, Richard Pennell of Columbiana.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Candice L. Pennell. Due to the COVID - 19 situation, private services for the family will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2020, at the Warrick - Kummer - Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana, with Reverend Robert Edwards officiating. Burial will take place at Columbiana Cemetery, Columbiana.

Alan W. McCamon
COLUMBIANA - Alan W. McCamon, 70, of Columbiana, died on Saturday, April 25, 2020 at his home.
He was born on February 1, 1950 in Youngstown, OH, son of the late Wayne and Leila Reesh McCamon. Alan had worked as a Laborer at National Refractories, Columbiana and was a member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife, Dinah Harrold McCamon, whom he married in February of 1975. Survivors also include a brother, Kevin McCamon of Leetonia.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Laurel Ann Wilms No services will be held at this time.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Betty J. McAndrews
"Together Again"
COLUMBIANA - Betty J. McAndrews, age 95, of Columbiana, died on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at Hampton Woods Nursing Center, Poland.
She was born on December 10, 1924 in Struthers, a daughter of the late Lawrence R. and Frances Miles Beach. Betty was a member of Faith Community Covenant Church, Youngstown.
She was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed camping, fishing, flower gardening and bird watching. Her husband, Ray H. McAndrews, Sr., whom she married on February 25, 1944, preceded her in death June 27, 2019. She is survived by a daughter, Betty A. (Chuck) McKee of Columbiana; a daughter-in-law, Pamela J. McAndrews of Powell, TN; grandchildren, Melissa (Tony) Linscott, Shannon (Richard) Dixon, Carrie (Jeff) Wylie, David McAndrews, Chrissie (Roger) Powers, Chuck (Tiffany) McKee III, and Jennifer (Cameron) Tartt. Also surviving are seventeen great-grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by a son, Raymond H. McAndrews, Jr; a daughter, Pamela J. Baldwin; two brothers, Lawrence H. Beach, and Robert M. Beach; sister, Alice Holler Glasnap, and by two infant granddaughters. Due to the COVID - 19 pandemic, private family services were held at the Warrick - Kummer - Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana. Burial was at Lake Park Cemetery, Youngstown. Donations may be made in Betty's memory to Crossroads Hospice.
Patricia 'Patsy' Ann DiAntonio
SALEM - Patricia 'Patsy' Ann DiAntonio, age 80 died Thursday, May 7, 2020 at Salem Regional Medical Center.
She was born April 20, 1940 in Salem, the daughter of the late Clem and Clara Mae (Bowman) Ehrhart. Patsy worked as an office clerk at Ohio Bell.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and an office volunteer. Patsy was a graduate of Salem High School and volunteered at United Elementary.
She was a long - time member of TOPS and was a great sports fan, enjoying all sports. Patsy loved her family and enjoyed life. Her husband, John Henry DiAntonio whom she married June 14, 1968 preceded her in death March 3, 2014.
Survivors include a daughter, Theresa (Michael Rosta) DiAntonio of Salem; two grandchildren, Angela (Mark) Sudol and Dominic DiAntonio and two great grandchildren, Dylan and Mia DiAntonio.
Besides her parents, a son Ronny DiAntonio also preceded her in death.
A private family service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 9, 2020 at Stark Memorial with Pastor Doug George officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery.
Sara Jane 'Sis' McLaughlin
East Palestine - Sara Jane 'Sis' McLaughlin, 94, passed away Wednesday morning, May 6, 2020 at Christian House Assisted Living, East Palestine. Sis was born on August 22, 1925 in Carrollton, PA, daughter of the late Clifford and Clara Nicely McCowin and had lived in this area most of her life. Sara had worked as a postal clerk for the Negley Post Office and was a member of Negley United Methodist Church. She had also been a member of the East Palestine Chapter #381 Order of Eastern Star. Her husband, James Elton McLaughlin, whom she married on May 16, 1947, preceded her in death on, December 12, 2017. Sara is survived by her daughter, Vicky L. (Gary) Mohr of East Palestine; granddaughter, Allison (Eric) Oltmann of East Palestine; grandson, Jared (Whitney) Mohr of Johnstown; four great-granddaughters, Aubrey Oltmann, Paige Oltmann, Harper Oltmann and Piper Mohr; three great-grandsons, Isaac Mohr, Caleb Mohr and Levi Mohr.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Alice Genevieve Dickey, and her brother, C. William McCowin. Because of the current Covid - 19 pandemic, the family has decided to plan a memorial celebration with details to be announced at a later date when her family and friends can safely gather to celebrate her life.
Private services were held at the Van Dyke - Swaney - Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine and burial was in Glenview Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Negley United Methodist Church or the East Palestine Memorial Public Library. A special thank you to Christian House Assisted Living for their steadfast care and compassion.

Lois Jean Morris
Columbiana - Lois Jean Morris, 82, died Monday, May 4, 2020 at Mercy Health St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital following a year of ill - health. Lois was born March 16, 1938 in South Beaver Township, PA, a daughter of the late Norman and Myrtle Elder and had lived in the Columbiana area for the past 40 years. She retired from General Dynamics Corp - Darlington Brick Branch where she was office manager for over 40 years.
She was a member of the Mount Calvary Community Church, Unity, OH. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her, especially the love of her life, Donald Morris whom she married October 17, 1970. Lois and Don spent their retirement years traveling over the United States (including Alaska) and wintering in Florida in their beautiful motor home making wonderful friends wherever they went. Lois is also survived by her sister, LaVon Fawcett and her brother, Larry (Judy) Elder; a special stepson and his wife, Bruce (Marie) Morris and stepdaughter, Cindy Coffin of Newark, DE; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and two great great-granddaughters.
She was the 'special Aunt Jeannie' to her nieces and nephews who always included her in their lives.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Norman Elder, Jr. A 'Special Thanks' to the staff at St. Mary's Alzheimer's Center for the wonderful compassionate care they gave her during her time there - she loved you all. Due to the COVID - 19 situation, a Memorial Service will be held at a later time. Interment is taking place in Glenview Cemetery, East Palestine.

Peggy Lee Greenwood McLaughlin
Salem - Peggy Lee Greenwood McLaughlin, age 76, of Salem, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2020 at St. Mary's Alzheimer's Center in Columbiana.
She was born on January 11, 1944 in East Liverpool, OH, a daughter of the late William and Betty Stype Greenwood. Peggy graduated from Beaver Local High School in 1961 and went on to study at the Robert Morris business college in Pittsburgh, PA. She worked as a bookkeeper most of her adult life and retired in 2006.
She was a member of the Bethlehem Church of Nazarene in Bethlehem, PA, and attended First Friends church in Salem. In her early years, she was a Sunday school teacher, church treasurer, board member and missions director. Peggy loved her family and was an avid reader. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and was a formidable Scrabble player. She enjoyed cruises, her favorite vacations being a cruise to Alaska with Len for their 40th wedding anniversary, as well as one along the coast of New England and Canada. She is loved and will be greatly missed by many. Peggy is survived by her husband of almost 58 years, Leonard 'Len' McLaughlin, whom she married on July 3, 1962; daughter, Michelle (Frank) Diaz of Dover, NH; son, Michael (Kristin) McLaughlin of Leesburg, VA; two sisters, Joyce (Leroy) McLaughlin of Rogers, OH, and Judy Brown of Columbiana, OH, and by a brother, Joe (Carol) Greenwood of Canfield, OH. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Danielle (Mike) Frothingham, Conor McLaughlin, Makena McLaughlin, Maddie Blackwell, and Betsy Blackwell, as well as a great-grandson, Everett Frothingham, many beloved nieces and nephews and extended family. Due to the COVID - 19 pandemic, a public celebration of Peggy's life will be held at a later date.
Private family services were held and Peggy was laid to rest at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens in New Waterford, OH.

Esther 'Louise' Lianna
SALEM - Esther 'Louise' Lianna, age 88 died Thursday, April 30, 2020.
She was born October 2, 1931 in Barnesville, OH, the daughter of the late John and Bessie (Ankrom) Gatchel. Esther worked as an executive secretary for 22 years at Eljer Corp.
She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, V.F.W. Auxiliary, a Red Cross volunteer, Salem United Methodist Women, card clubs, enjoyed golf and bowling. Her husbands, John Burgess, Donald Biddison and Rudolph John 'Lee' Lianna preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Kelley (Larry) Kurtz of Youngstown and a sister, Betty Pokas of Martinsferry.
Besides her parents and husbands, a brother, Ralph Gatchel and a sister, Evelyn Carpenter also preceded her in death. A private service will be held Monday, May 4, 2020 at Stark Memorial. Burial will be held at Hope Cemetery.

Columbiana - Karen R. Sikora, 81, of Columbiana, died Thursday, April 30, 2020 at Whispering Pines Village, Columbiana. Mrs. Sikora was born September 9, 1938 in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Kenneth C. and Virginia Seneca Close and had lived in this area all of her life. She was a 1956 graduate of North Lima High School and had been employed as a sales person at the former Woolworth Department Store for several years.
She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church, Columbiana. Karen loved to read, visit with family and friends, and complete jigsaw puzzles. Her husband, Paul F. Sikora, whom she married June 28, 1958 died November 10, 1989. After the death of her beloved husband, Paul, she met her soul mate, Sam Madden in 1994. Together, they traveled to many countries and states until his death.
She was also preceded in death by her sister, Kay Ann Close Joseph. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 2, 2020 at St. Jude Roman Catholic Church, Columbiana with the Reverend Christopher Cicero officiating.
Burial will follow in Columbiana Cemetery. It was Karen's wish that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the St. Jude Roman Catholic Church Building Fund. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Warrick - Kummer - Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.
