Ernes Arnold Mossbarger

Ernest Arnold Mossbarger was born in Jan. 11, 1923 in Firebrick, Ohio passed away Sept. 1, 2003 at 3:30 a.m. in his home following a short illness. He served in the U.S. Army and he also served 35 years as a civil servant in the U.S. Air Force. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Emmett and Edith Mossbarger; brother, Emmett Mossbarger, Jr.; sisters, Virginia Spangler and Norma Smith. Surviving family; wife, Mary L. Mossbarger; mother-in-law, Lottie Edna Hamrick; sister, Ruby Graham; children, Mr. Steven and Diane Mossbarger of Springfield; Mrs. Tina and John Beecham of Dayton; Mrs. Sandie and Jerry Hardesty of Springfield, Ms. Debra Sanders of Springfield, Ms. Kathy Shelton of Springfield; 10 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Trostel, Chapman and Christmas Funeral Home of New Carlisle. Rev. John Wallace will be officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call at funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
Fern Evelyn Hayslip
Died: Wednesday, June 25, 2003
Age: 85
Fern Evelyn Hayslip, 85, of Xenia, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2003, at Hospice of Dayton. She was born Aug. 9, 1917, in Mt. Sterling, Ohio, the daughter of Milton and Goldie (Stevens) Johnson.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1955, Daniel G. Hayslip.
She is survived by her daughters, Goldie Jacobs of Colorado, Mary Robinette of Troy, Dana Hayslip of Xenia, Connie Mickle of Xenia and Sheila (Martin) Earley of South Carolina; a sister, Mary Jane Leach of Xenia; a brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Jean Johnson of Xenia; grandchildren, Dan, Melinda, Ardena, Tina, Kevin, Teguin, Terri R., Beth Ann, Billie and Joshua; numerous great-grandchildren; and other family members and friends.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, June 28, 2003, at 10 a.m. at Woodland Cemetery, Xenia, with Pastor Dr. Eric Wardle officiating.
The family will receive friends at
the First Baptist Church, 552 Country Club Drive, Xenia following the graveside service.

Patricia Ann Webster
Died: Wednesday, June 25, 2003
Age: 60
Patricia Ann Webster, 60, Jamestown, passed away Wednesday evening, June 25, 2003, at Kettering Medical Center. She was born March 16, 1943, in Richmond, Kentucky, the daughter of Steward and Thelma Davis West.
She was employed by Greene County as a payroll accountant.
She is survived by her husband, William I. Webster, whom she married July 4, 1982; a son, William Matthew Webster and wife, Lisa, Jamestown; granddaughter, Miranda Webster; sister, Jayne K. West, Boston, Mass.; brother, John S. West and wife, Marjorie, Ft. Wayne, IN; mother-in-law, Ruth J. Webster, Portsmouth, Oh.; nieces, Jessica Blake-West, and Mary Smith; and nephew, Russell D. Smith.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 28, at the Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia. Burial at the convenience of the family.
Friends are invited to speak at the service, if desired. Family will receive friends following service.

Marjorie L. Molitor
Died: Tuesday, June 24, 2003
Age: 91
Marjorie L. Molitor, 91, Xenia, passed away Tuesday evening, June 24, 2003, at Hospitality Home West. She was born Feb. 3, 1912, in Xenia, the daughter of David E. and Estelle Stroup Shoemaker.
She retired from the Golden Age Senior Citizens Center, a member of
the Evangelical United Methodist Church, where she played the organ and taught Sunday school, and a longtime Bible study teacher at John Sale Manor.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Esther M. and Melvin D. Castle, Xenia, and Barbara and Kenneth Jenkins, Jacksonville, Florida; and three sons and daughters-in-law, David F. and Mary Molitor, Xenia, Ronald A. and Beverlye Molitor, Xenia, and Larry K. and Becky Molitor, Walton, W.Va.; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Rapp, Springfield.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Julius F. Molitor, May 15, 1973.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, June 27, at Valley View Memorial Gardens, with Rev. Donald R. Payne officiating.
There will be no visitation.
Contributions may be made to the Evangelical United Methodist Church, 195 W. 3rd St., Xenia, Oh. 45385, or to a favorite charity.

Corinne "Connie" Barnard-Harshman

Age: 82
Corinne “Connie” Barnard-Harshman Compton, 82, of Kettering, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2003, at Hospice of Dayton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Webster A. Compton; her parents, Max W. and Helen Barnard; and sister, Emily Dement.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Joan and Lloyd Runnels of Kettering and Marilyn Jean Reynolds of Kettering; son and daughter-in-law, William H. and Peggy Harshman of Kettering; step-daughters
and sons-in-law, Margaret Martinez of Youngstown, AZ, Christine and Scott McAuley of Peoria, AZ, Stephanie and Michael Kotko of Soda Springs, CA, and Teresa and Bill Sjoquist of Glendale, AZ; step-sons and daughters-in-law, David and Linda Compton of Muskegon, MI, and Timothy and Sheila Compton of Florence, AZ; brother, Charles E. Barnard of Rainbow, IN; sisters-in-law, Geraldine and Robert Beery, Loraine and Robert Crawford, Shirley Dill, Nancy Compton and Lucy Compton; brother-in-law, Richard Dement;
and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Connie retired from Kettering Medical Center. She was a caring and loving person who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 28, 2003, at the Tobias Funeral Home-Belmont Chapel, 648 Watervliet Ave.
Interment will be in David’s Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Friday, June 27, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
Ruby Katheryn Johnson Belt
Died: Tuesday, June 24, 2003
Age: 83
Ruby Katheryn (Johnson) Belt at age 83, she winged her way to heaven. She was born Jan. 30, 1920.
She was ill for some time. Born in Hanging Rock, Ohio. One of 10 children born to Milford and Hazel (Klaiber) Johnson.
Her parents, three brothers and four sisters preceded her in death. Also her husband Francis C. Belt.
She is survived by six children; one brother and one sister. Norma and Chuck Hogan of Dayton, Carroll (Ike) and Pat Belt of Chandler, Arizona, Janet Lang of Dayton, Trisha and George Wiget of Wilmington, Ohio, Brenda and George Henry of Xenia, Pamela and Bill Woodson of Xenia. Sister Pearl Mohr of Marion, Ohio, and brother Milford Johnson of Dayton, Ohio. Ruby was blessed with 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was a super mom, grandmother, friend and was loved by all.
She retired from Dayton State Hospital after 25 years.
She loved dancing and was an avid euchre player. She donated her body
to Wright State Anatomical Department.
Donations may be given to Wright State Anatomical Department or the Alzheimer Foundation.
Memorial services will be held at Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia, Ohio, July 10, 2003. Friends may call from 4 p.m.-5 p.m. for visitation with services following. Pastor Terry Hall will officiate.
