Age: 52
Dennis E. "Denny" Seitz, age 52, of Fairborn, passed away Monday, June 2, 2003 in the Miami Valley Hospital. He was born Sept. 27, 1950, in Dayton, Ohio.
Mr. Seitz was employed
by the Trans Continental Publishing Company.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Eddie Seitz.
He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Susie Seitz; his father, Robert E. Seitz, and wife Gail of Beavercreek; his mother, Sharon J. Seitz of Dayton; two sons, Brandon and Travis; a daughter, Leslie Goodale of Massachusetts; three brothers, Russell Seitz and wife Dianne of Illinois, Roger Seitz of Florida, Douglas Seitz and wife Debbie of Kettering; four special friends, Amit, Larry, Cliff and Joe; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, June 6, 2003, at 1 p.m. in the Belton Funeral Home, Fairborn, with Pastor Freddie Preston officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
Burial will follow in the Byron Cemetery.
Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to
the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, in his memory.
Mary Virginia Holl
Died: Sunday, June 01, 2003
Age: 87
Mary Virginia Holl, age 87, of Richmond, Indiana, died Sunday (June 1, 2003) at Golden Rule-Beverly Healthcare.
She was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia, on March 30, 1916, to William and Lulu Helmick Perry and had lived in this area for the past nine years, moving here from Fairborn.
She was a retired employee of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and was a member of Saint Mark’s Lutheran Church in Fairborn. She was a member of Eastern Star.
Her husband, Frank L. Holl, died in 1997.
Survivors include: daughter, Mary Jo Ward of Richmond; son, Frank L. Holl Jr. of Troy, Ohio; sister, Marguerite Shaw of Bradenton, Florida; grandchildren, Erin Dickison, Brian Ward, Brittany Holl, Greg Holl; great-grandsons, Bryce Dickison and Nathan Holl; and nieces.
Private graveside services will be held on Thursday (June 5, 2003) in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Worthington, Ohio. Pastor Gordon Glink will officiate.
There will be no public calling.
Riggle-Walterman Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Douglas E. Ayers
Died: Sunday, June 01, 2003
Age: 78
Douglas E. Ayers, 78, Xenia, passed away Monday morning at Greene Memorial Hospital. He was born Sept. 8, 1924, in Klamath Falls, Oregon, the son of Claude and Eva Tetrault Ayers.
He was the retired owner of the Modern Trailer Court in Xenia, a member of St. Brigid Church and Knights of Columbus, and assistant scoutmaster of St. Brigid Boy Scout Troop #140, a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II. Doug was a dear husband, father, grandfather and friend.
He loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, with his family and scout troop. He will always be remembered by his children and grandchildren for his great love and respect for nature and animals.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara (DuFau) Ayers, Jan. 20, 1997.
He is survived by his two daughters and sons-in-law, Claudia and Andrew Kuntz, Wooster, and LaTisha and James Faler, Xenia; a son and daughter-in-law, Philip and Candie Ayers, Beavercreek; seven grandchildren, Heather Kuntz Henthorne and husband, Jason, Molly Kuntz Row and husband, Darin, Kenneth Faler, Maria Faler, Noah Faler, Jason Ayers, and Jackie Ayers; a great-grandson, Andrew John Row; a brother, Duane Ayers, Xenia; sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Gene Smith, Dayton; and special friend, Betty Liming, whom he loved dearly.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 6, at St. Brigid Church, 312 Fairground Road, Xenia, with Rev. Kenneth Schartz officiating.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia.
Burial will be in Sabina Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the St. Brigid Boy Scout Troop #140.
Alma I. Reese
Died: Sunday, June 01, 2003
Age: 89
Alma I. Reese, age 89, a lifelong resident of Beavercreek, passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2003, at the Summit at Park Hills. She was born on Dec. 9, 1913, the daughter of the
late Charles W.
and Daisy (Arthur) Miller.
Mrs. Reese was a retired cook with the Beavercreek Schools and a member of the Aley United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Roy W. Reese, on Jan. 10, 2003; a brother, Charles Miller Jr.; and two sisters, Helen Smart and Leanna Gibboney.
She is survived by her son, James William "Jim" Reese and wife Sharon "Shay" of Wadsworth, Ohio; two grandchildren, Andy Reese and wife Kari of Grove City, Ohio, Laurie Reese of Atlanta, Georgia; two great-grandchildren, Paul and Rachael Reese; her brother, Howard Miller of W. Carrollton, Ohio; her sister, Katherine Edwards of Dayton; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, June 6, 2003, at 9 a.m. at the Aley United Methodist Church, 4143 Kemp Road, Beavercreek, with Rev. Dennis Ditto officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairfield Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Belton Funeral Home, Fairborn.
Georgia Evelyn Wakefield
Died: Sunday, June 01, 2003
Age: 84
Georgia Evelyn Wakefield, 84, Xenia, passed away Sunday evening, June 1, 2003, at Greenewood Manor. She was born March 19, 1919, in Roane County, Tennessee, the daughter of Sim and Dorothy Isham Wakefield.
She is survived by four sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruth Stephens, Cincinnati, Opal and Roy York, Dayton, Barbara Stinson, Dayton, Rhonda Marlene Stires and husband, Roderick, Xenia; two brothers, Ralph Wakefield, Dayton, and Frank Wakefield, New York; and a half-sister, Sue Norton, Dayton; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Anna Jean Shearer and Marjorie Kugelman.
There will be private services at the convenience of the family.
The family would like to thank the nurses and nurses aides at Greenewood Manor for their care of our sister and aunt.

Issac T. Bailey

Issac T. Bailey, died Wednesday, May 28, 2003, in Southview Hospital. He was born May 28, 2003, in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Brian and Sarah Ann (Scott) Bailey of Enon.
He is survived by his parents; two brothers, Caleb and Malachi; one sister, Kezia, all of Enon; maternal grandparents, Steven and Jennifer Scott of Springfield; paternal grandparents, Don and Debbie Bailey of Huber Heights; aunts, Rebecca and Elizabeth Scott; uncles, Jacob and Jonah Scott, all of Springfield; uncle, Brandon Bailey of Fairborn.
He was preceded in death by an uncle, Bradley Bailey; and a grandma, Carol Bailey.
He will be greatly missed.
The family is being served by the Littleton & Rue Funeral Home. Bishop Braswell will officiate at the graveside service, which will be held in Enon Cemetery, Saturday, June 7, at 10 a.m.
