Susan Marie Williams

Age: 85
Susan Marie Williams, 85, of Xenia, passed away Friday evening at the Greene Oaks Health Center in Xenia, where she had been a patient since 1995.
She was born June 24, 1918, in Wheeling, West Virginia, the daughter of Anthony Francis and Elsa (Jung) Miller.
She was a longtime member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Xenia.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Billy S. Williams Sr. in 1980. They were married
April 8, 1942.
Also preceding her in death is a son, Billy S. Williams Jr. in 1994.
Survivors include two daughters, Judy Kay Hedges, Fairborn, Jane Anne (Hamer) Campbell, Xenia; two sons, David Geoffrey Williams, Springfield, and Tony L. Williams, Xenia; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Alberta Kennedy Grimm, Florida, Jane Supan, Zelienople, PA, and Alma Lou "Dolly" Codol, Texas; a brother, Anthony Francis Miller Jr., Texas; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 15, 2003, at noon at the McColaugh Funeral Home, Inc., 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia with Dr. Edwin C. Kingsbury officiating.
Burial in the Woodland Cemetery, Xenia.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Tina Lynette Williams, 41, of Sandy Hook, KY, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2003, at her residence.
She was the daughter of Elizabeth and Loren Donaldson of Xenia.
She is survived by her fiance, Carter Ison, Sandy Hook, KY; her daughter, Jessica Cantrell, Bellbrook; her parents, Elizabeth and Loren Donaldson, Xenia; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Abby, Jayden, Bellbrook; sister and brothers, Gina Cox, Kettering, Dean Creech, Kettering, William Lahew, Xenia; grandparents, Mae and James Ely, Riverside; two stepsisters and a stepbrother; nieces and nephews, Tara Shea, Blake, Mackenzie, Quentin, and Toni; and many aunts, uncles and friends.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2003, at the Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia, with Rev. John Lockwood officiating.
Visitation will be held from 12 noon Tuesday until service time.
Contributions may be made to the grandson, Jayden Wilkins, in her memory.

Age: 79
Alma S. Cox, 79, of Xenia, passed away Friday morning at her home in Xenia.
Born January 22, 1924, in Sandy Hook, KY, she was the daughter of Samuel Robert and Mary Frances (Stephens) Lyons.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Thomas Wright; second husband Raymond R. Ross in 1979 and third husband James W. Cox in 1997; brothers Marion, Wiley, John, James, Con and Moses Lyons; sisters Lizzie Barker, Florence Stewart, Flora and Viola Lyons and grandsons Samuel Nelson Ross and Raymond James Brown.
She is survived by her children, Thomas (Donna) Wright of Alpha; Roger (Diane) Wright of Wilmington; Sherman (Norma) Wright of St. Paris; Mary Jane Wine of Xenia; Sue (Tony) Reed of Xenia; Ray (Sondra) Ross of Hillsboro; Sammy Ross of Hillsboro and Starr (Mike) Brown of Xenia; sisters, Sena Kepler of Xenia; Mary Ellen Bell of Xenia and Hattie Wallace of Peebles; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren including Bobbie Ross of Dayton and Tami Wright of Beavercreek, who grew up in her home, one great-great-grandchild; extended family members and friends.
The family will receive friends Monday, Aug. 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. at McColaugh Funeral Home, 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 12, with Rev. Ron Swiger, officiating.
Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Bowersville.
Phyllis Montgomery

Age: 76
Phyllis M. (Todd) Montgomery, 76, of Beavercreek, a former resident of Colonial Heights, VA, and Fairborn, passed away Friday, August 8, 2003, in Heartland of Beavercreek.
She was born November 9, 1926, in Manchester, OH, the daughter of Samuel R. and Lora L. (Ramsey) McHenry.
She was retired from DGSC in Richmond, VA, and is survived by three daughters and a son-in-law, Linda Ning, of Kettering, Patricia Richardson, West Carrollton, and Karen and Paul Norman, Dayton; a son and daughter-in-law, John E. and Debbie Todd Jr., Dublin, OH; a very special friend, Carolyn Stokes; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews, among them, a special nephew and his wife, Billy and Norma Jean Piper, Bellbrook.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Richard Montgomery, two sisters, Thelma Piper and Catherine Moore, and a half-brother, Earl Perry.
Friends may call at the Burcham Funeral Home, 119 E. Main St., Fairborn, Tuesday, August 12, from 6 until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Wednesday, August 13, at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Fairfield Cemetery.
Velma H. LeSourd

Age: 99
Velma H. LeSourd, 99, Xenia, passed away Thursday afternoon, Aug. 7, 2003, at Greenewood Manor. She was born Nov. 16, 1903, in Xenia, the daughter of Raymond E. and Emma Pearl McDonald Huston.
She is survived by her daughter, Ann LeSourd, Xenia; two grandchildren, Katherine Pappas and William Pappas; a sister, Elizabeth Moser, Phoenix, Ariz.; nieces, Karen Welch and Susan Jacobs; nephews, Richard Moser, James Moser, Richard H. (Catherine) LeSourd Jr., John LeSourd and Jerry (Susan) Jacobs. She was preceded in death by her husband, William B. LeSourd, April 9, 1967; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Lou and Stanley R. Pappas; a son, Robert Stewart LeSourd; grandson, Peter McDonald Pappas, and a brother-in-law, Gilbert Moser.
Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton 45420.

Nolan Hettinger
Died: Thursday, August 07, 2003
Age: 85
Nolan "Red" Hettinger, 85, Ft. Myers, FL., passed away at Hope Hospice on August 7, 2003. He was born in Greene County, Ohio, the son of Cary and Myrtle (Gray) Hettinger. He was a Master Sergeant in the Army Air Corp with aircraft maintenance during World War II, serving in the European Theater. Following his military service, he returned to Ohio and served as a civilian aircraft mechanic at WPAFB until his retirement in 1972. He came to Ft. Myers from Jamestown, OH., in 1972. He was a member of the American Legion and a Life Member of the VFW.
He is survived by his loving wife, Loa; two step-daughters, Marthana Ritenour Roberts, Jamestown, OH., and Kay Marie Cline, Jeffersonville, OH.; a step-son, James D. Ritenour, Cedarville, OH.; a sister, Gerry Diltz, Columbus, OH., nieces, Judy Murray, Circleville, OH., Judy Jenks, Urbana, OH., and Sharon Gustafson, Columbus, OH.; a nephew, Lynn Brown, Bowersville, OH., and a great-nephew, Todd (Sherry) Brown, Punta Gorda, FL.
Funeral services will be celebrated at the Ft. Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Monday, August 11, 2003, at 1:30 p.m., with visitation from noon to 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow in the Ft. Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Richard P. Zimmerman

Age: 65
Richard P. Zimmerman, age 65, of Enon, passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2003, in his residence.
He was born on February 13, 1938, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, the son of Clarence B. and Katherine I. (Hand) Zimmerman.
He retired as a Logistics Management Specialist with the United States Air Force Civil Service in 1990 and enjoyed working at Sears from 1993 to 2001.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Sandra K. Zimmerman; a son, David R. Zimmerman, and wife Amy B. Nadybal of Dayton; two daughters, Sharon A. and husband John Zimmerman of Fairborn, Susan K., and husband Heath Ryan of Fairborn; a grandson, Jacob Ryan; four granddaughters, Courtney M. Zimmerman, Kristen N. Zimmerman, Hayley E. Zimmerman, Emily Ryan; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 12, 2003, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Belton Funeral Home, Fairborn.
Burial will take place at a later date at the convenience of the family.
