Natasha M. Campbell
Died: Thursday, August 07, 2003
Natasha M. Campbell, who died in a car crash off Factory Road Thursday, Aug. 7, 2003, (see story, Page 1), will be buried in Byron Cemetery.
Natasha, 20, of Beavercreek, was born April 7, 1983, in Xenia, the daughter of LeRoy and Teresa (Vance) Campbell.
She was a junior at Wright State University.
She is survived by her parents of Beavercreek; a sister, Sonya Campbell, Beavercreek; maternal grandmother Shirley Vance of Fairborn; paternal grandmother Ethel Miller of Spring Hill, FL; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
She is also survived by a special friend, Matthew Goldburn of Beavercreek.
The family will receive friends Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Belton Funeral Home, Fairborn, where funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 10 a.m. with Dr. Robert Smith officiating.

Velma H. LeSourd

Age: 99
Velma H. LeSourd, 99, of Xenia, passed away Thursday afternoon, August 7, 2003, at Greenewood Manor.
She was born November 16, 1903, in Xenia, the daughter of Raymond E. and Emma Pearl McDonald Huston.
She is survived by her daughter, Ann LeSourd, Xenia; two grandchildren, Katherine Pappas and William Pappas; a sister, Elizabeth Moser, Phoenix, AZ; nieces, Karen Welch and Susan Jacobs; nephews, Richard Moser, James Moser, Richard H. (Catherine) LeSourd Jr. and Jerry (Susan) Jacobs.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William B. LeSourd, April 9, 1967, a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Lou and Stanley R. Pappas, a son, Robert Stewart LeSourd, grandson, Peter McDonald Pappas and a brother-in-law, Gilbert Moser.
Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton. Neeld Funeral Home, Xenia, is in charge of arrangements.
Wanda Jean Barringer
Died: Wednesday, August 06, 2003
Age: 57
Wanda Jean (Caraway) Barringer, 57, a Jamestown native and former childhood resident, passed peacefully from this life on Wednesday, August 6, at Branch County Community Hospital, Coldwater, Michigan. Wanda was born to Harold and Mary Esther (Knisley) Caraway on May 16, 1946 and was a 1964 graduate of Greeneview High School. She had worked as a beautician and was most recently employed as a secretary at the Quincy MI United Methodist Church prior to her illness. She leaves behind her husband of 24 years; Scott Barringer, sons Daniel and Shane Barringer; daughter Nikki Barringer; and grandsons Bryce and Dayten, all of Coldwater. Local survivors include her mother Mary Esther; sister Kay (Mike) Helling; brothers Dale Caraway and Roger (Kathy) Caraway; nephews Jason (Crystal) and Jacob (Lindsay) Strickle, John (Kim), Brent, and Kyle Caraway, and Matthew, Luke, and Mark Caraway; four great-nieces; and a great-nephew. Her father Harold preceded her in death in 1998. A public memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 16 at 1 p.m. at the Jamestown Presbyterian Church (USA), 61 West Washington St., (Old State Route 35) with Rev. R. Michael Helling officiating. In lieu of flowers, Wanda’s family requests that memorial donations may be made to her husband Scott to assist with final expenses at 587 Fox Road, Coldwater, MI., 49036 or to the American Cancer Society.
Nancy Jean Cornett
Died: Monday, July 21, 2003
Age: 57
Nancy Jean Cornett, 57, of Xenia, and formerly of Beavercreek, passed away Monday, July 21, 2003, following a tenacious struggle with cancer.
Nancy was born August 22, 1945, in Oakland, CA, to Robert D. and Mary Ann Archer. She graduated from Beavercreek High School in 1963 and subsequently achieved an associate degree in accounting from Miami Jacobs College in 1965. Local employers over the course of her accounting career include Updike Electric Company, Chapel Electric Company and the Eastman Kodak Company.
Pre-deceased by her father, Robert D. Archer, Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 11 years, David A. Cornett of Xenia; her daughter, Jeannie Harlow, her grandchildren, Michael, Christina, Jennifer, Corrie, Chandler and Broderick Harlow and newly arrived great-grandson, Anthony Harlow, all of Lake Mary, FL; her mother, Mary Ann Archer of Beavercreek and two step-sons, Chris Cornett of Beavercreek and Greg Cornett of Lynnwood, WA. She is also survived by her three sisters, Donna M. (Jim) England, Bonnie L. (Mark) Adducchio and Robin S. Baver, all of Beavercreek and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 20, at 7 p.m. at Beaver United Church of Christ, 1960 Dayton-Xenia Road, with the Rev. John Barnett officiating.
If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Anatomical Gift Program of the Wright State University School of Medicine or to Hospice.
Charles Richard Cline
Died: Monday, September 22, 2003
Age: 79
Charles Richard Cline, 79, of Xenia, passed away Tuesday evening at his home.
He was born September 22, 1924, in Xenia, the son of lawrence and Edith (William) Cline.
Charlie retired in 1985 as a inspector at the Harrison Radiator. He was an Army Air Corp Veteran of World War II, serving mainly in Japan, the Philippines and New Guinea. He was a member of the Lutheran Church, the VFW, Eagles, Elks and was an avid golfer and bowler. He bowled in leagues in Xenia for over 50 years and had been a pinsetter in earlier years.
He was preceded in death by his father, his wife of over 55 years, Mary Ann (Wells) Cline, in 2001, sisters Mildred Moore and Edith Marie Roberts, and a brother, Robert Cline.
Surviving him is his mother, Edith Cline of Xenia, daughters Donna (Marvin) Johnson and Judy (Mike) Williams of Xenia, a son, Charles R. Jr. (Carol) Cline of Pickerington, a brother, Donald (Lois) Cline, of Xenia, grandchildren Kim, Erica, Joey, Rachelle, Lori, Catherine, and Christina, great-grandchildren David, Derrick, Erik, Aries and Ethan, several nieces and nephews, other extended family members and many friends.
Family will receive friends from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Friday, September 26, at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 287 West Main St., Xenia, OH, 45385. Funeral services will follow at 11:30 a.m. on Friday at the church with Pastor Glen Bengson officiating. Burial is in the Valley View Memorial Gardens, Xenia. The family is being served by the McColaugh Funeral Home, 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia.
Ann C. Wourms
Died: Monday, September 22, 2003
Age: 73
Ann C. Wourms, age 73, of Dayton, formerly of Beavercreek, passed away Monday, Sept. 22, 2003, at Hospice of Dayton. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gerald, in 1999. She is survived by her children, Steven (Elizabeth) Wourms, Gregory (Linda) Wourms, Joel (Barbara) Wourms, Julie Ochs (Brent Nickles), and Amy Kiel. She was blessed with 13 grandchildren, Lisa, Jacob and Joseph Wourms, Heather and Christopher Wourms, Nicholas, Matthew, Hannah, and Rachel Wourms, Katherine Ochs, Joshua and Cody Flannery, and Nathan Kiel. She also had one great-grandchild, Dominick Perrine-Wourms.
She is also survived by a brother, Joseph (Hildred) Peterman. She was a member of We’ve A Weave since 1954, and a member of the Past Perfects. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003, at St. Henry’s Parish. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, Sisters of Notre Dame or American Heart Association.
Alice M. Russell
Died: Sunday, September 21, 2003
Age: 96
Alice M. Russell, 96, of Fairborn, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 21, 2003, in the Wright Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Fairborn. She was born Feb. 20, 1907, in Green Bay, Wis., the daughter of the late Albert and Louise Kims.
Mrs. Russell had worked as an LPN at Miami Valley Hospital, was a member of the Fairborn United Methodist Church, and past member of the Fairborn Senior Citizens and N.A.R.F.E.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter E., in 1995. Surviving family includes Ronald Russell and Cathy Barber of Fairborn, Patrick and Brenda Armstrong of Vancouver, British Columbia, and Dan and Diane Goshorn of Keystone Heights, Fla., as well as grandchildren, great-grandchildren, numerous other family members and friends.
A graveside service will be conducted Saturday, Sept. 27, at 2 p.m. in the Cedar Point cemetery in Pasco, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
Dorotha L. Denning
Died: Sunday, September 21, 2003
Age: 91
Dorotha L. Denning, age 91, of Fairborn passed away Sunday, Sept. 21, 2003, in her residence. She was born Oct. 3, 1911, in Carey, Ohio, the daughter of Fred and Edna (Hempy) Mitchell.
She retired as a receptionist from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Mrs. Denning was a member of the Aero Chapter 536 Order of Eastern Star and the Fairborn Shrine 62 Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem.
She is survived by two sisters, Ada Wiltus of Loveland, Ohio, and Jane Woods of Forest, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William Denning in 1986, and three sisters, Lillian Orians, Anabel Dible and Virginia Sapp.
Friends may call in the Burcham Funeral Home, 119 E. Main St., Fairborn, OH, Friday, Sept. 26, 2003, from 1 p.m. until time of services at 2 p.m. Interment will be at Spring Grove cemetery in Carey, Ohio, on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003, at 11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the donor’s favorite charity.
