Age: 79
Laura Louise Leaming, 79, Spring Valley, passed away Monday afternoon, July 7, 2003, at Greenewood Manor. She was born Dec. 6, 1923, in Spring Valley, the daughter of Hillie D. and Mary Shaw Stiles.
She was a member of the Church of Christ on Ferry Road.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary Louise Morris, Xenia; a son and daughter-in-law, Warren Allen and Patty F. Leaming, Spring Valley; five grandchildren and spouses, Jeff and Debbie Leaming, Jamestown, Joe Leaming, Waynesville, Mark Leaming, Xenia, Damon and Staci Morris, Xenia, and Melissa Caserta, Xenia; six great-grandchildren, Joseph Christopher Leaming Jr., Brian Allen Leaming, Julianne Laura Caserta, Joshua Ryan Leaming, Catherine Renee Leaming, and Zachary Chad Caserta; and several cousins, nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren H. Leaming, Feb. 22, 2001; a son-in-law, Larry B. Morris; four sisters, Leona I. Goodwin, Alice Tidd, Marguerite Thompson, and Elva L. Stiles; and a brother, Eugene Stiles.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 12, at the Neeld Funeral Home, 1276 N. Detroit St., Xenia, with Rev. Glen Bengson officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Spring Valley Cemetery.

Patricia L. Tisdale
Died: Sunday, July 06, 2003
Age: 75
Patricia L. Tisdale, 75, of Fairborn, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2003, at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born on Feb. 3, 1928, in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of the late, Harry E. and Charlotte (Laker) Hensley.
Mrs. Tisdale was a member of the Shroyer Road Baptist Church and the Ladies Oriental Shrine.
Preceded in death by two sisters.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, James H. Tisdale; two daughters, Cynthia Easterling of Columbus, Ohio, Kimberly Trimbach and husband, James of Fairborn; her son, James H. Tisdale Jr. and wife, Carolyn of California; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Richard Hensley and wife, Linda of Lima, Ohio, Robert Hensley and wife, Nancy of Dayton; two sisters, Mary Semmons of Dayton, Virginia Geist and husband, Harold of Trotwood; as well as numerous other family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 10, 2003, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Belton Funeral Home, Fairborn where funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Richard Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Byron Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Burn Institute, in her memory.
Katherine Louise Brady
Died: Sunday, July 06, 2003
Age: 71
Katherine Louise Brady, 71, of Spring Valley, passed away Sunday, July 6, 2003, at Kettering Medical Center. She was born April 4, 1932, in Frametown, West Virginia, the daughter of Emmert Quickle and Ena D. Boggs.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Victor Brady, in March 1980; her parents.
Katherine is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jack E. (Debra) Brady of South Carolina; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandy (Bob) Jordan of Miamisburg and Brenda (Steve) Fuller of Spring Valley; a brother, David Boggs of North Carolina; a special sister-in-law: Bessie Belknap of Akron; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 9, 2003, at McColaugh Funeral Home, 826 N. Detroit St., Xenia, 45385. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 8, 2003, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Spring Valley Cemetery.
Robert A. Gill
Died: Saturday, July 05, 2003
Age: 70
Robert A. Gill, 70, of Charlotte, formerly of Xenia, Ohio, passed away Saturday, July 5, 2003, at Wesley Care Center in Charlotte.
He was born Aug. 13, 1932, in Xenia, Ohio, to the late Wilbur Austin and Anna Thompson Gill.
A native of Ohio, Mr. Gill was a 1951 graduate of Xenia High School.
He was retired from IBM in Charlotte, NC and NCR in Dayton, Ohio.
Mr. Gill is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Mrs. Brenda Gill of the Charlotte; daughter, Kim Morgan of Charlotte; grandchildren, Stacia Morgan and Daniel Morgan of Charlotte; sisters, Carolyn Thomae, Barbara Cultice, Charlene Chess, all of Florida; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial service will take place Friday, July 11, 2003, at 1 p.m. at the Faith Community Methodist Church, 100 Country Club Drive in Xenia, Ohio.
Carolina Funeral & Cremation Center of Charlotte, NC, is entrusted with the arrangements.
Ruth K. Crowder
Died: Saturday, July 05, 2003
Age: 72
Ruth K. Crowder, 72, of Fairborn, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2003, at the Greene Memorial Hospital. She was born on July 14, 1930, in Hazard, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Henry and Orena (Lowell) Noble.
Mrs. Crowder was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard, in 1983; three sons, Raymond Crowder Sr., Ralph Crowder and Ed Crowder; as well as numerous brothers and sisters.
She is survived by three grandchildren, Pam Lynch and husband Marty of Fairborn, Ray Crowder Jr. and fiancé, Lisa Scott of Enon, Alexis Crowder of Enon; three great-grandchildren, Brandon and Brittney Lynch, Tyler Crowder; and numerous other family and friends.
A graveside service will be conducted on Friday, July 11, 2003, at 1:30 p.m. in the Fairfield Cemetery, with Dr. Stuart M. Snow officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the Belton Funeral Home, Fairborn.
James Kinzer
Died: Saturday, July 05, 2003
Age: 71
James (Jack) Kinzer, 71, of Medway, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2003, at Southview Hospital following a brief illness. Born Feb. 14, 1932, in Xenia, Ohio, the son of Almon and Rosa (Cruitt) Kinzer.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 47 years, Shirley; three children and their spouses, Deena and Larry Haskins of New Moorefield, Ohio, Jeff and Julie Kinzer of Casstown and Tammy and Mike Davis of New Carlisle, Ohio; three grandchildren, Charissa Braun of Arlington, TX, Julie Haerr of New Moorefield, Ohio, Zachary Davis of New Carlisle, Ohio; one brother and spouse, Richard and Nola Kinzer of Xenia; and other family and friends.
Jack was a Navy veteran of the Korean War and was employed at WPAFB Commissary and Logistics Command until he retired in 1987. He was an avid bowler and fisherman.
He was a member of the Medlake Lions Club and Medway Area Historical Society. A devoted and dedicated husband, father, and grandfather and friend.
He will be sadly missed by all who loved and knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Almon and Rosa Kinzer; in-laws Bud and Lucille Voorhees; and two grandsons, Jarod and Jake Kinzer.
Visitation will be held at Trostel, Chapman & Christmas Funeral Home, New Carlisle, on Wednesday, July 9, 2003, from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services at Trostel, Chapman & Christmas Funeral Home at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 10, 2003.
Burial to follow at Rose Hill Burial Park in Springfield, Ohio.

William Robert Burress Sr.

Age: 69
William Robert "Bob" Burress Sr., age 69 of Fairborn passed away Friday, July 4, 2003, in his residence. He was born February 7, 1934, in Cedar Bluff, Virginia the son of William Henry and Ocie Pearl (Lester) Burress. Mr. Burress served his country with the U.S. Army. He was retired from the Dayton Builders Supply Company where he had been employed for 32 years. He was a member of the Tabernacle of Praise. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Betty Louise Burress, three daughters and a son-in-law, Betty Jean and John Perdue of St. Paris, Jo Ann Hicks of New Carlisle, and Frances P. Burress of New Carlisle, two sons and a daughter-in-law, William Robert Burress Jr. of Centerville and Thomas and Vonda Burress of New Carlisle, a brother Roger Lee Burress of Dublin Virginia, eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son-in-law, Osborne "Ausie" Hicks and an uncle, Marvin Lester. Friends may call in the Burcham Funeral Home, 119 E. Main Street, Fairborn, Ohio Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Tabernacle of Praise, Gibson Drive, Tipp City, with Pastor Lanny Kelley officiating. Burial will be in Byron Cemetery.
