Samantha Jean Mock
Samantha Jean Mock, 15, Austintown, died July 23, 2000 of injuries suffered in an auto accident in Geauga County.
She was born Sept. 17, 1984 in Youngstown, a daughter of Tom A. and Cathy Cramblett Mock.
She would have been a sophomore at Fitch High School, where she was a member of the junior varsity cheerleading squad and the soccer team and played clarinet in the concert band.
She played piano and competed in the Federation of Music programs and won numerous state, regional and national awards in group and solo modern dance competitions.
She performed with Ballet Western Reserve and Easy Street Productions in the production of "The Wizard of Oz" at Powers Auditorium and appeared as a "Little Rascal" at Stambaugh in the Easy Street Christmas Show.
She was a member of the church and had been an altar server at Immaculate Conception. She helped her mother choreograph and produce the church's annual Christmas Eve pageant.
She was preceded in death by grandparents, John and Anne Mock and Kenneth Cramblett.
Surviving are her parents; a brother John T. of the home and grandmother, Ruth Cramblett of Cadiz.
Service was July 26, 2000 in St. Joseph Church.

Marsha L. Dickerson
Marsha L. Dickerson, 51, Adena, died Aug. 5, 2000 at Wheeling Medical Park, Wheeling, W.Va.
She was born Oct. 16, 1948 in Martins Ferry, a daughter of Martha Hayest Konkoleski and the late Herman Konkoleski.
She was an employee of the Adena Branch Library, a former employee of the Colerain IGA and GTE of Cadiz. She was a member of St. Casimir's Catholic Church. She was an avid fan and also a booster member of the Wheeling Nailers.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Surviving are her husband, Richard Dickerson; her mother, Martha Hayest Konkoleski; a daughter, Jessica Dickerson of the home; a sister, Chris Konkoleski of Adena; several aunts and uncles.
Service was Aug. 8, 2000 at the Borkoski Funeral Home in Adena with Msgr. John Kolesar officiating. Burial in Olive Branch Cemetery, Harrisville.
Evelyn Florence Steer
Evelyn Florence Steer, 94, formerly of New Concord, died Aug.6, 2000 at Heritage Health Care Center in Venice, Fla.
She was born Nov. 7, 1905 in Wheeling, West Va., a daughter of the late John F. and Ella Florence Yost Springer.
She was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star of Cadiz and a former employee of Wheeling Steel.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hubert Steer; a sister, Mellie Virginia Mentzer; brother Forrest E. Springer.
Surviving a son, Ronald (Linda) Steer of Venice, Fla.; three grandchildren, Don (Patty) Steer of Nashport, Dean Steer of New Concord and Barbara Linder of Orlando; six great-grandchildren.
Service was Aug. 8, 2000 at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, with the Rev. Douglas Blaikie officiating.
Mock-Miller Funeral Home, New Concord was in charge of arrangements.
Charles Eugene Bond
Charles Eugene "Geno" Bond, 73, Londonderry, died Aug. 10, 2000 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus.
He was born Apr. 7, 1927 at Londonderry, the son of the late Scott T. Bond and Marguerite Patterson Bond of Londonderry who survives.
He was a retired coal miner and owned the Bond Orchard at Londonderry.
He was a member of the Londonderry United Methodist Church and a graduate of Madison High School Class of 1945. He enjoyed hunting and trapping.
He was preceded in death by his father; two brothers, Richard and Larry Bond.
Surviving are his mother; his wife, Janet Thompson Bond; a daughter, Mrs. Daniel (Leisa) Kerns of Londonderry; three sons, Charles Lynn and Peggy Bond of Washington, Pa., Lee and Penny Bond of Londonderry and Les and Donna Bond of Freeport; a brother, Dale Bond; two sisters, Marlene Bond and Joan Bond, all of Londonderry; six grandchildren; two step-grandsons.
Service was Aug. 12, 2000 at Bond Funeral Home in Londonderry with the Rev. Karen Upson officiating. Burial in Sunset View Cemetery, Londonderry.

Helen Lavera Nester
Helen Lavera Nester, 68, Holloway died Aug. 9, 2000 in Ohio Valley Hospital, Wheeling, W.Va.
She was born Aug. 14, 1931 in Piedmont, a daughter of the late Otis and Althea Tidrick VanFossen.
She was a graduate of Cambridge High School.
She was preceded in death by a son John G. "Red" Nester Jr.; three brothers Glenn VanFossen, Otis Junior VanFossen and Harley VanFossen.
Surviving are her husband, John G. Nester Sr.; two daughters, Judy Nester and Linda Nester both of Holloway; a brother Willard VanFossen of California; a granddaughter; several step-grandchildren and several step-great-granchildren.
Service was Aug. 12, 2000 in Koch Funeral Home, Freeport with the Rev. Rodney Warstler officiating.
Jerri Lee Wilson
Jerri Lee Wilson, 40, Cadiz, died Oct. 15, 2000 at Harrison Community Hospital, Cadiz.
She was born June 13, 1960 in Martins Ferry, a daughter of the late Jerome Wilson and Vivian Jackson Wilson.
She was an employee of Bayform of Cadiz. She was a member of St. James A.M.E. Church in Cadiz.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Surviving are three daughters, Brandy Wilson of Columubs, Victoria Wilson, U.S. Marines in Hawaii and Amanda Wilson of the home; one granddaughter, Armani Marie Daniels of Columbus; a close friend and companion, Nathan Van Isler of Cadiz; seven sisters, Deborah Ramsey and Kelly Mason both of Cadiz, Laura Jones, Marnie Wilson, Marte Campise all of Steubenville, Jeanette Strother and Tina Strother both of Texas; four brothers, Thomas West of Akron, Alan West, John West and Robert Banks all of Cadiz, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Calling hours are today, Oct. 17, 2000 from 2-4 p.m. in Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, 172 S. Main St., Cadiz. Service is Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2000 at 1 p.m. in Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home with the Rev. Bernard Gaiton officiating. Burial in Cadiz Union Cemetery, Cadiz.
Helen V. Leggett
Helen V. Leggett, 73, Sherrodsvile, died Oct. 15, 2000 in Union Hospital, Dover.
She was born Jan. 28, 1927 in Yorkville, the daughter of the late Joseph and Sophia Sininski.
She retired from Scio Pottery after 28 years of service and prior she had also worked for eight years for the U.S. Ceramic Tile Company at East Sparta.
She was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church at Sherrodsville and the Sherrodsville Lions Club and Pythian Sisters. She was formerly a bowler at East Sparta Recreation and she loved to work jigsaw puzzles in her spare time.
She was preceded in death by parents; two brothers.
Surviving are her husband, Earl M. "Max" Leggett; two sons Keith (Debbie) Leggett of Salem, Tom (Debbie) Leggett of Bowerston; one daughter, Mrs. Bob (Nita) Yager of Sherrodsville; a brother Stanley Dombrowski of Zoar; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Service will be conducted Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2000 at 11 a.m. in the Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home at Sherrodsville with the Rev. Charles McNatt officiating. Interment will be in the Leavittsville Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 in the funeral home.
