Harris W. Lyons
Harris W. Lyons, 69, Quaker City, died April 5, 2003 at his home.
He was born April 7, 1933 in Londonderry Township, a son of the late Harry A. & Ora Frances Woodburn Lyons.
He retired from working at the Guernsey-Noble Career Center. He was a 1951 Madison High School graduate and a member of the Winterset United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Martha Thomas; four brothers, Ralph, Lester, Roy and Charles.
Surviving are his wife Faye Huston Lyons; five sons, Roger (Kathleen) of Cambridge, Timothy (Renae) of Antrim, Dan (Tammy) of Bethesda, Randall (Pam) of Cambridge and Lynn Lyons of Quaker City; brother, Ellis (Betty) Lyons of Colorado Springs; nine grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Bond Funeral Home in Londonderry on Tuesday, April 8, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Service will be held April 9 at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dr. Donald W. Fairchild officiating. Burial in Antrim Community Cemetery.

Richard K. Forrester Sr.
Richard K. "Soupbean" Forrester Sr., 61, Adena, died April 5, 2003 in Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling, W.Va.
He was born Sept. 15, 1941 in Paden City, W.Va., a son of Myrtle Price Forrester of Middleburn, W.Va. and the late Wilbur Forrester.
He was a truck driver for 35 years.
He was preceded in death by his father; a son, James D. Forrester; two brothers, William and Butch; two sisters.
Surviving are his wife, Faye Shultz Forrester; his mother; two sons, Richard K. Forrester Jr. of Adena and Kevin Forrester of Adena; a daughter, Nolana Miser of Texas; three brothers, Stanley of North Carolina, Steve of West Virginia and Raymond of Florida; a sister, Rosie Bassett of West Virginia; and three grandchildren.
Friends are welcome on Tuesday From 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Borkoski Funeral Home, Adena where service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 9 with the Rev. Ernest Creamer officiating. Burial in Olive Branch Cemetery, Harrisville.
Hattie M. Cutshall
Hattie M. Cutshall, 91, Jewett, died April 5, 2003 at Youngstown.
She was born in Louisville, Kentucky, a daughter of the late John and Lena Bundy Schaney.
She was a member of the Jewett United Methodist Church and the Jewett VFD auxiliary. She had worked for over 40 years at the Scio Pottery.
She was preceded in death by husband James; three brothers, John, Walter and Fred Schaney; three sisters, Pearl, Molly and Betty; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Surviving are a daughter Janette Memmer of Youngstown; son George Cutshall and wife Margaret of Youngstown; three sisters, Ann Owens of Leesville, Grace Hauber and husband Joe of Jewett, Margaret Palmer of Pittsburgh, Pa.; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Blackburn Funeral Home, Jewett on Tuesday, April 8, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with services there on Wednesday, April 9 at 1 p.m. with the Rev. William Westling officiating. Burial in Fairview Cemetery near Jewett.
Richard A. Johnson
Richard A. Johnson, 65, Holloway, died April 2, 2003 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry, Ohio.
He was born Sept. 8, 1937 in Holloway, a son of the late Uster Johnson and Alice Simpson Johnson.
He was a retired employer of R& F Coal Company and a member of the Cadiz Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and an infant brother, Randall Johnson.
Surviving are his wife Charlene Shockley Johnson; two sons, Richard A. II of Cadiz and Christopher of Holloway; two daughters, Rhonda Cunningham of Morristown and Roxanne Hooper of Columbus; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Nancy Sheppard of Holloway, Joann Osborne of Kentucky and Sherri Kramer of Deersville.
Calling hours are Sunday, April 6, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz, where services will be held Monday, April 7, 2003 at 11 a.m. Burial follows at Moorefield Cemetery, Moorefield.
Jeffrey Norman Polen
Jeffrey Norman Polen, 35, Naples, Fl., formerly of Hopedale, died March 27, 2003 in Naples as the result of a motorcycle accident.
He was born July 11, 1967 in Steubenville, a son of Paul Jeffrey Polen of Naples and Sandra K. Capers Polen of Hopedale.
He was a 1985 graduate of Cadiz High School. He was co-owner of Small Engine World in Naples.
Surviving are his parents; sister, Paula Bonar and husband Douglas of Naples; nephew, Jackson Paul Bonar of Naples; grandfather, Norman Capers of Hopedale.
Friends may call at the Blackburn Funeral Home, 324 High Street in Hopedale, Monday, March 31 from 2 p.m. until service time at 8 p.m. Final disposition will be the convenience of the family. Rev. Robert Hooker will officiate.

Kenneth E. Stull
Kenneth Eugene (Kenny) Stull, 58, Scio, died Aug. 19, 2003.
He was born in Dennison, a son of Anna Mae (Dennis) Stull and the late Charles W. Stull.
He was a 1964 graduate of Scio High School. He played basketball and was a stage attendant for plays in high school. He was a member of the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts of America. He served his country in the U.S. Army following graduation.
He was formerly employed as a truck driver for Austin Powder of Hopedale. He was affiliated with the Scio Presbyterian Church and a member of the Scio American Legion, Scio Sportsmen Club, State Trapping Association, National Trapping Association, National Rifle Association and a former member of the Dining Fork Ruritan. He was an avid outdoorsman and a collector of Harrison County memorabilia. He loved to hunt and trap and was known in the area as "The Critter Getter."
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Gatts Stull; two daughters, Kim (Frank) Wiley of Scio and Karen (Frank) Balvin of Dillonvale; sister, Karmie Pyles of Scio; brother, Kelvin Stull of Jewett; three grandchildren, PFC Frank Wiley, Jr., who is currently stationed overseas, Kody Wiley and Kyria Balvin.
Friends may call at Koch Funeral Home, Scio, on Thursday, Aug. 21, from 7-9 p.m. and on Friday, Aug. 22, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Service will be held in the funeral home at 12 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 23, with the Rev. Jack Visser officiating. Military services and burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain.
Doris L. Strohmeyer
Doris L. Strohmeyer, 77, Scio, died Aug. 18, 2003 in Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville.
She was born March 10, 1926 in Tappan, a daughter of the late John and Hazel Mason Cramblett.
She graduated from Scio High School in 1946. She worked at the Scio Pottery for 17 years then was a cook at Jewett-Scio High School. After retiring from the school, she was a caregiver for the elderly. She was a member of the Scio Presbyterian Church, enjoyed collecting and was a loving grandmother.
She was preceded in death by parents; infant granddaughter, Angela; and brother, Edward Cramblett.
Surviving are her husband, Floyd D. Strohmeyer; daughter, Mary Ann (Jerry) Zende of Hopedale; son, Ronald (Loretta) Strohmeyer of Carrollton; stepson, Dave Strohmeyer of Byesville; brother, Myrl Cramblett of Scio; sister, Martha Nayman of Parma and grandchildren, Ron Jr., John, Paul, Stephanie and Kattie Strohmeyer.
Service will be held Thursday, Aug. 21, 2003 at 12 p.m. at Koch Funeral Home, Scio with the Rev. Dean Blythe officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Gardens Cemetery, Jewett. Friends may call two hours prior to the service from 10 a.m. to noon.
