Katie Ann Campbell
Katie Ann Campbell, infant daughter of Scot and Kayla Campbell of Cheyenne, WY, died October 2, 2004.
Katie is survived by her grandparents Jeff and Judy Campbell of Cadiz and Mitch and Mary Malcomb of Jewett; great grandparents Earl and AnnaMae Heath of Tippecanoe, Louise Campbell of Freeport, Frank Cerny of Wooster, Marjorie Myers of Wooster, Lola Malcomb of Heaters, WV and Ron and Laura Coblentz of Slidell, LA. Aunts and uncles include Annie and Eric of New Athens, Tonya, Brittany, Jessie, Brent and Kody of Jewett, and Robbie and Shawna of England.
Graveside Services will be held Saturday, October 9, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Nottingham Church Cemetery with Rev. William Hudson officiating. Arrangements are by Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home.
James J. Stillwagon
James J. Stillwagon, Sr., 51, of Cadiz, died Sunday, Oct. 3, 2004 at Harrison Community Hospital, Cadiz. He was born April 24, 1953 in Martins Ferry, Ohio, a son of the late Leonard and Lila Schucht Stillwagon.
He was an employee of Saint Gobain's Bay Form Plant in Cadiz, and was an EMT for the Cadiz Emergency Squad for nearly twenty years. During the Viet Nam Era, he served in both the Navy and Marines.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Leonard and Billy Stillwagon and a sister, Peggy Stillwagon.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Duffy Stillwagon; a son, James J. Stillwagon, Jr. of Cadiz; a daughter, Tiffany Stillwagon of Cadiz; eight grandchildren; three step-sons, Chuck Duffy of Cadiz, Ralph Duffy of Bridgeport and David Morgan of Jewett; a step-daughter, Shauna Palmer of Cadiz; three brothers, Roy Stillwagon of Seattle, WA, Randy Stillwagon of Bloomingdale and John Stillwagon of Hopedale; seven sisters, Beverly Mansfield, Nancy Beach, Bonita Stocking, Mary Jane Abel and Janet Mansfield, all of Cadiz, Ethel Hall of Clearwater, FL and Shirley Ridgeway of Hendersonville, SC.
Friends may call Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9 at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz, where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Paul Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow at Olive Branch Cemetery, Harrisville. Military Honors will be provided by the Hopedale American Legion.

Virginia J. Hendricks
Virginia J. Hendricks, 83, Beacon Pointe, Uhrichsville and a former Dover and Scio resident, died Sept. 30, 2004.
She was born Sept. 8. 1921 in Germano, a daughter of the late E.A. and Nanny Polen Johnson.
She was a retired employee of Scio Pottery following 25 years of service.
She was a former member of the Scio Presbyterian Church and was active in the Calico Cats Western Square Dancing Club. She enjoyed playing bingo.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Dale Hendricks.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Lora and Charles Illig of Dover; a granddaughter, Casie Illig and husband George Elliott of Gahanna and a great-grandson, Mason Illig; three sisters, Doris (Robert) Trushel of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Naomi Bellville of Carrollton and Ruth Ann Johnson of Bowerston; one brother, Jack Johnson of West Palm Beach, Fla.
Service will be held Oct. 4, 2004 at 1 p.m. in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with the Dr. William C. Haggis officiating. Interment will follow in the Grandview Cemetery in Scio.

Deborah K. Rose
Deborah K. Rose, 50, Cadiz, died Oct. 2, 2002 at her home.
She was born July 16, 1952 in Steubenville, a daughter Raymond Howes and Alma Davis Howes.
She was a cook at Grammies Goodies, Cadiz. She attended Cadiz Church of God Church.
Surviving are her husband, Scott Rose of Cadiz; a son, Scott E. Rose and wife Connie of Cadiz; two daughters, Mia Zupan and Eleanor Rose both of Cadiz; seven grandchildren; a brother Raymond Howes of Waynesburg, Pa.; and three sisters Crystal Stull of Cadiz, Cindy Bintz of Moorefield, Shelly Hugh of Scio.
Graveside service will be held Friday, Oct. 4, 2:30 p.m. at Rock Hill Cemetery, Flushing with the Rev. Craig Haney officiating.

Joseph Michael Chesla
Joseph Michael Chesla, 77, Cadiz, died Sept. 29, 2002 at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville.
He was born Dec. 2, 1924 in Duncanwood, Ohio, a son of the late Walter Chesla and Mary Jurzec Chesla.
He was a retired engineer at Georgetown Preparation Plant, Consolidation Coal Company, Cadiz. He was a member of Ohio Club of West Pasco, Florida; United Mine Workers of America.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Walter Chesla.
Surviving are his wife Helen Beckley Chesla of 54 years; two sons Mike and wife Barbara and John and wife Lorri, all of Cadiz; four grandchildren Andy, Allison, Chris and Courtney Chesla; one great-grandson Blake Chesla; and a sister Stella Bedell of Clarksburg, W.Va.
Calling hours are Tuesday, Oct. 1, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, Cadiz. Service will be held Wednesday, Oct. 2, 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Craig Haney officiating. Burial in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.

Mary Louise Meehan
Mary Louise Meehan, 88, Sebring, formerly of Steubenville, died Sept. 28, 2002 at Crandall Medical Center in Sebring.
She was born Oct. 1, 1913 in Steubenville, the daughter of the late James W. and Nancy Cusick Hambleton.
She was a member of the Church of Christ in Sebring and LaBelle View Church of Christ in Steubenville, retired as a secretary for Grant School in Steubenville and secretary for Mayor Andrew Miller in Steubenville.
She was preceded in death by her husband Alfred W. Meehan; parents; brother James Hambleton, sister Elizabeth Claypool and one grandson.
Surviving are two daughters, Patricia Shumard and husband Charles of Cadiz, Pamela Mooney and husband Paul of Fortville, Ind; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be Oct. 1, 2002 at 10 a.m. at Union Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. George Hugus officiating. Burial at Union Cemetery in Steubenville.

Lloyd V. Meddles Sr.
Lloyd V. Meddles Sr., 75, Adena, died Sept. 28, 2002 in East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry.
He was born Nov. 29, 1926 in West Virginia, a son of the late Oscar and Roxie (Martin) Meddles.
He was a Navy Veteran of World War II, retired from Consolidation Coal Company as a first class mechanic in Mine #60, member of Adena United Methodist Church, UMWA, and the Smithfield Masonic Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his wife Eleanor (Goldsborough) Meddles; parents; and an infant brother Robert.
Surviving are two sons Lloyd Jr. and wife Cheryl of Adena, David and wife Patti of North Ridgeville; daughter Brenda Hopkins and husband Tom of Cadiz; brother Larry Meddles of Cadiz; two sisters Betty Ferda of Flushing and Joyce Palmer and husband Dale of Shadyside; eight grandchildren and two great-granddaughters and a great-grandson.
Friends received today (Monday) from 6-9 p.m. at Borkoski Funeral Home, Adena where services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2002 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. James McKenzie officiating. Burial Olive Branch Cemetery, Harrisville.
