Kathryn Pauline Skinner O'Neil
Kathyn Pauline Skinner O'Neil, 79, Akron, formerly of Cadiz and Las Vegas, died April 9, 2001 at Akron City Hospital, Akron.
She was born Jan. 9, 1922 in Trimble, Ohio, a daughter of the late John Skinner and Lucille Jewett Skinner.
She was a member of First Church of God of Cadiz.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. O'Neil; parents; an infant brother.
Surviving are two sons, John L. O'Neil of Burbank Calif., James L. O'Neil of Cadiz; a daughter, Susan Green of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; two brothers, Rex Skinner and Tom Skinner both of Akron; a sister, Janice Walker of Akron; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, April 11, 2001 6-9 p.m. in Clark-Kirkland Funeral Home, 172 S. Main Street, Cadiz. Service will be Thursday, April 12 at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Samuel Betts officiating. Burial in Cadiz Union Cemetery.
Mary E. Black
Mary E. Black, 94, died March 28, 2001.
She was born in Jefferson County, Ohio. She lived in Canton most of her life. She was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church in Canton.
Surviving are her sisters, Alice Black and Margaret Nivens both of Green; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held at Sunset Hills Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. David Morgan officiating.

Eugene Russell May
Eugene Russell May, 43, Freeport died April 8, 2001 in Twin City Hospital, Dennison.
He was born Sept. 4, 1957 in Uniontown, Pa., a son of Harold Eugene May and Patricia L. Taylor May of Blackwell Road, Freeport.
He was formerly employed by Mericlare of Garfield Heights as a parts clerk. He loved outdoor sports.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Richard Taylor and paternal grandparents, Carl May and Ruth Hiles May.
Surviving are his parents; a daughter, Amanda Jean May of Hiram; a sister, Janet Butler and husband Rich of Freeport; two brothers, Vince May and wife Yvonne of Chardon and Albert May of Hartsgrove; maternal grandmother, Nellie Taylor of Uniontown; five nephews; two nieces and his beloved boxer, "Hunter."
Visitation is today, April 9, 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, April 10, 10 a.m. to noon in Koch Funeral Home, Freeport where services will be held at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Jim Barcus officiating. Burial in Minksville Cemetery.
Clara M. Phillips
Clara M. Phillips, 79, Dover April 7, 2001 in Seton Square, Dover.
She was born March 27, 1922 in Harrison County, Ohio, a daughter of the late James E. and Madge Hunt Smith.
She was retired from the Airport Restaurant in New Philadelphia. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Westchester and attended Dover Baptist Temple.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Hazel Harding.
Surviving are two sons, H. Thomas "Tom" Phillips of Uhrichsville and Ronald and Diana Phillips of Tippecanoe; a grandson, Jamie and Leslie Phillips of Tippecanoe and a great-grandson of Bronson Phillips; three sisters, Nellie Ourant of Freeport, Hilda Brokow of Wadsworth and Alma Luyster of Tippecanoe.
Service will be Tuesday, April 10, 2001 1 p.m. in Naylor Funeral Home, New Philadelphia with the Rev. Christopher Rhodes officiating. Burial in East Avenue Cemetery, New Philadelphia. Calling hours are today, Monday, April 9, 2001 in the funeral home.
Clyde H. Host
Clyde H. Host, 92, Bowerston, died April 5, 2001 in the Cumberland Health Care Center at Bowerston.
He was born March 19, 1909 in Monroe Township, Harrison County, son of the late Charles and Jennie Rainsberg Host.
He was a self-employed farmer, served as a trustee for Monroe Township, Harrison County and had also worked as a truck driver and a substitute mail carrier.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Slonaker Host; parents; two brothers.
Surviving are a daughter and a son, Mrs. Betty J. Walker of New Philadelphia and Richard E. Host of Bowerston; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, April 7, 2001 at 1 p.m. in the Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home, Sherrodsville with the Rev. Henry Mooney officiating. Interment will be in the Tunnel Hill Cemetery at Bowerston. Calling hours will be held Saturday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the funeral home.

Virginia H. Wallace
Virginia H. Wallace, born Virginia Parshall Harris, 85, died Nov. 30, 2000.
She was born June 3, 1915 in New Athens, a daughter of the late Harry P. Harris and Grace Goodhue Harris.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Cadiz, a former member of the Moravain Trail Chapter, DAR; Harrison County Historical Society.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Arthur Wallace; a son, James A. Wallace; brother, David Harris.
Surviving are a son Charles B. Wallace and wife Jackie of Cadiz; two daughters, Rebecca J. Milliken and husband John of Cadiz, Harriett G. Knowles and husband Bruce of Beaver Falls, Pa.; daughter-in-law, Jane H. Wallace of Ludlow, VT., 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
A private service will be held at the convenience of the family officiated by the Rev. William Hudson. Burial in Longview Cemetery, New Athens.

John Bobish
John Bobish, 89, Adena, died Nov. 29, 2000.
He was born Sept. 9, 1911 in Maynard, a son of the late Paul and Frances (Riddle) Bobish.
He was Presbyterian. He was retired foreman with Wheeling Lake Erie Railway, and Jefferson County Highway Department.
He was preceded in death by parents; brothers, Frank, Geroge and infant twin brothers, Carl and Edward; sister Anne Bobish.
Surviving are wife, Elizabeth (Black) Bobish; three daughters, Betty Senatore and husband Ronald of Monreville, Pa., Midge Bobish of Pittsburgh, Barb Grabits and husband Stan of Bloomingdale; a brother, Jim of Cleveland; two sisters, Lorraine Connors of Michigan, Katherine Kelly of Florida; two grandchildren, Scott and Brittany Senatore of Monroeville, Pa.
Visitation is Thursday, Nov. 30, 7-9 at Borkoski Funeral Home, 111 S. Bridge St., Adena. Funeral Dec. 1, 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Barry Hall officiating. Burial in Olive Branch Cemetery.
