Wilva M. Roach

A memorial service for Wilva M. Roach, 76, of Kirkersville, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Zanesville Memorial Gardens with the Rev. D. Eader officiating.
Mrs. Roach, who retired in 1992 from Licking Memorial Hospital, Newark, where she worked as a pediatric nurse, died Feb. 9, 2002, at her home following a long illness. She was born Oct. 26, 1927, to the late William L. VanHorn and Mary S. Winner.
Mrs. Roach graduated from Malta-McConnelsville High School in Morgan County in 1946 and the Good Samaritan School of Nursing in Zanesville in 1949.
She is survived by her sons, Robert P. Roach of Kirkersville, Ernest C. Roach of Hawkinsville, Ga., Donald E. Roach and family of Pataskala, and John T. Roach, William M. Roach, David E. Roach, all of Kirkersville; daughter, Wilva A. Roach of Bristol, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; sisters, Theresa VanHorn and Celia VanHorn of Cambridge, and Janie (VanHorn) Shira and family of Parkersburg, W. Va.; brother, Lyle VanHorn and family of Sheffield Lake, Ohio; and brother-in-law, Harold L. (Kathy) Best and family of St. Petersburg, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 20 years, Robert P. Roach in 1970; and son, Warren D. Roach in 1994.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio.
The Ohio Cremation and Memorial Society/Rodman Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Raymond Edgar "Eddie" Gaunder

A chapel service for Raymond Edgar "Eddie" Gaunder, 90, of Heath, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Criss-Schoedinger Funeral & Cremation Service. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Licking County Veteran's Alliance will provide military honors at the graveside.
Mr. Gaunder, who was a retired meat manager for Albers Supermarket in Newark, died March 31, 2002, at Arlington Nursing Home. He was born May 3, 1911, in Newark, to the late Wilbur G. and Anna (Minto) Gaunder.
Mr. Gaunder served during World War II in the U.S. Navy of the Pacific Theater. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Newark, Candle Lighters of the First United Methodist Church, American Legion Post 85 in Newark, Newark's Elk's Lodge and Heath Senior Citizens Group and was a life member of VFW post 1060 in Newark.
He is survived by his wife, Myrtle Elizabeth (True) Gaunder of Heath, whom he married on Feb. 19, 1934; sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas E. (Ellen Weisend) Gaunder of St. Louisville, and Robert G. (Eleanor Parks) Gaunder of Florence, Ala., grandchildren, Karen E. Gaunder of Newark, Alisa Gaunder of Berkley, Calif., and Laura Gaunder of Washington, D.C.; great-grandchildren, Sarah A. Stotts, Morgan E. Stotts and Alex Stotts; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, David G. Gaunder; granddaughter, Barbara E. Gaunder-King; sister, Freida Gaunder Stauffer; brothers and sisters-in-law; George Basil (Marian) Gaunder and Wilbur (Tomoris) Gaunder.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, 179 Granville St., Newark.

J. Merrel Coleville

A funeral service for J. Merrel Coleville, 90, of Johnstown, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Moreland Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Greenhill Cemetery in Johnstown.
Mr. Coleville, former owner/dealer of Licking County Implement Co. (Allis Chalmers Dealer), died April 1 , 2002, at Manor Care in Westerville.
Mr. Coleville was a member of Johnstown Presbyterian Church and a charter member of the Johnstown Lions Club.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Bessie (Ealy) Coleville; children, Carol (Carl) Chandler of Westerville, James (Carol) Coleville of Clare, Mich., and Pamela Coleville of Worthington; grandchildren, Robert and Shannon Chandler, and J.C., Scott and David Coleville; great-grandchildren, Alex, Josh, Eric, Abbey, Ryan and Brooke Coleville; sister, Mary Stickle of Granville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Edna C. Boyer

A funeral service for Edna C. Boyer, 84, formerly of Tiffin, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Turner-Engle Funeral Home, Tiffin. Burial will be in Seneca Memory Gardens, Tiffin.
Mrs. Boyer, retired from the state hospital and a member of the Assembly of God Church, died April 2, 2002, at Minerva Nursing Home, Columbus. She was born July 2, 1917, to the late George and Effie J. (Mathias) Fadley.
She is survived by a son, Daniel Boyer, of Bentonville, Ark.; three daughters, Joyce Kerchner, of Westerville, Nancy Kulka, of Blackwood, N.J., and Judy Page, of Mount Vernon; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three brothers, Russell Fadley, of Maryland, Oliver Fadley, of Roseville, Calif., and George "Jim" Fadley, of Tiffin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Boyer, who died in 1975; a son, Donald Boyer; a brother, Charles Fadley; and three sisters.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
