Sandra C. Kriekaard, 59, of Las Vegas, Nev., died Nov. 13, 2003. She was born Nov. 15, 1943, in Shelby, Ohio.

Clifford A. 'Tony' Lancaster

A funeral service for Clifford A. "Tony" Lancaster, 56, of Newark, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church of Danville, Ky., with the Rev. Richard Hill officiating. Burial will follow in the Hill & Dale Cemetery.
Mr. Lancaster died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2003, at his residence. He was born Feb. 6, 1947, in Albany, N.Y., to the late Everhart and Mattie Lee (Ingram) Lancaster.
Mr. Lancaster retired as a supervisor from Arvin Meritor in 2002. He had 30 years of service having been employed by Rockwell International in Winchester, Ky., and Heath. He was a truck driver for a short period of time.
A former member of the Riders Association Motorcycle Club of Danville, he enjoyed motorcycles and sports and was a fan of the University of Kentucky football program. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Danville, Ky., and a U.S. Army veteran who served in Vietnam.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra E. (Watson) Lancaster of Newark; five daughters, D'Jarkta (Elmer) Ellis, Angela (Michael) Talul, Tara Lancaster (Derrick Robinson), Shawn Lancaster, all of Lexington, Ky., and E'Leana (Charles) Stirtmire of Las Vegas, Nev.; sister, Mary (Thomas) Butler III of Fairfax, Va.; seven grandchildren; and numerous relatives and friends.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Smith-Jackson Funeral Home, Danville, Ky.

A funeral service for Jody D. Smith, 34, of Frazeysburg, will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, with minister Lyle Lipps officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
Mr. Smith died Nov. 13, 2003, in the emergency room of Coshocton County Memorial Hospital.
Calling hours will be 5-8 p.m. Sunday at Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 Third St., Frazeysburg.
Frank E. Walker

A funeral service for Frank E. Walker, 79, of Dresden, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Crouse-Kauber-Sammons Funeral Home, Johnstown. Interment will be in Trenton Cemetery.
Mr. Walker died Nov. 14, 2003, at Licking Memorial Hospital. Frank was born May 24, 1924, in Licking County, to the late Vinal and Zella (Edwards) Walker.
He was a World War II Veteran, having served in the Army, a member of the American Legion in Dresden, Newark V.F.W. and Newark Eagles.
Mr. Walker is survived by his wife, Stella (Myers) Walker; five daughters, Linda (Junior) Hinton of Newark, Sharon (Lacie) Loudermilk of Dresden, Karen Spurgeon of Hebron, Patty Luckeydoo of Hanover, and Merrillee (Tom) Bolton of St. Louisville; two sons, Howard (Vicki) James of Newark, and Frank E. (Wanda) Walker of Reform; brother, Jim (Weltha) Mitchell of Delaware; aunt, Irene Edwards of Sunbury; 24 grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; many great grandchildren; several stepgreat-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and their many caring friends from the river in Dresden.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Clint A. Walker, and a brother, Donald Mitchell.
The family will receive friends 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, 225 N. Main St., Johnstown.
Floribel S. Allen
June 25, 1914-Nov. 14, 2003
A graveside service for Floribel S. Allen, 89, of Newark, will be 1 p.m. on Monday at Barnes Cemetery, Newark.
Mrs. Allen died Nov. 14, 2003, at LPN Health Care. She was born June 25, 1914, in Newark, to the late Wylie and Myrtle (Rantz) Stickle.
Mrs. Allen retired as the Assistant Director for East Liverpool Extended Care. She also worked at East Liverpool Hospital as a Registered Nurse.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, James and Norma Allen of Fairfield, Ohio; two grandchildren, Mathew Allen of Franklin, Ind., and James Allen Jr. of Batesville, Ind.; sisters, Ruth Gardner of Newark, Faye Teague of Indiana, and May Norton of Pennsylvania; and a brother, Eli Stickle of Newark.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Dayton Allen; and brother, Adin Stickle.

Betty Jane Armstrong

A memorial service for Betty Jane Armstrong, 74, of Newark, will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Armstrong, a 1945 graduate of Newark High School, died Nov. 14, 2003, at the Selma Markowitz Care Center, operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. She was born Dec. 17, 1927, in Columbus, to the late Roland and Mary (Hatfield) Hommon.
Mrs. Armstrong enjoyed playing music. She was an avid shopper, enjoyed making crafts and cooking for her family and friends.
She is survived by husband, Eston Armstrong; brother and sister-in-law Richard and Peggy Hommon; brother Robert Hommon; daughter-in-law, Pat Armstrong; sons, Dick (Kathy) Armstrong, Thomas Armstrong and Ted (Mary) Armstrong; seven grandchildren, Barbara (Jon) Quackenbush, Michael Armstrong, Kristopher (Beth) Armstrong, Scott (Jennifer) Armstrong, Greg Armstrong, Sarah Armstrong and Ted Armstrong; two great-grandchildren, Jed Quackenbush and Abigail Armstrong.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, William Armstrong; and daughter-in-law, Marlene Armstrong.

Steven B. Kerns

A memorial service for Steven B. Kerns, 44, of Pataskala, will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Christian Endeavor Church, 1415 Londondale Parkway, Newark, with pastors Steven Osborne and Richard Smeyers officiating. A graveside service will take place at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Newark Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Kerns passed away Nov. 15, 2003, at Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was born on Aug. 23, 1959, in Dayton, to Paul H. and Marie (Hall) Kerns.
Mr. Kerns was a member of the Licking County Vineyard Church and will always be remembered by his love of music and the beautiful flower arrangements he made.
Steven is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Pamela (Moore) Kerns of Pataskala; mother, Marie (Hall) Kerns of Newark; two brothers, Darrel (Sue) Kerns and Larry (Becky) Kerns, both of Newark; half-brother, Paul A. Kerns of Athens; three sisters, Donna Athey and Debra (Paul) Stevens, both of Newark, and Jean (Jack) Lepley of Heath; two half-sisters, Barbara Fugh of Dayton, and Doris Jelinek of Milwaukee, Wis.; seven nephews and seven nieces; along with a pet gray Kitty Cat "Snuffy."
Steven is preceded in death by his father and one niece.
There will be no calling hours observed.

Esther L. Culbertson

A funeral service for Esther L. Culbertson, 92, of Newark, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Newark Chapel of Henderson, Van Atta & Johnston Funeral Service, with the Rev. Ray Morrison officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Zanesville.
Mrs. Culbertson, who was the founder of the Heisey Glass Club, died Nov. 12, 2003, at Newark HealthCare Centre. She was born Oct. 5, 1911, in Judith, Wis., to the late Harry and Ida (Sinders) Lewis.
Mrs. Culbertson was a second-grade school teacher for Newark and Zanesville schools. She was a member of Central Presbyterian Church in Zanesville.
Surviving are her husband, Howard Culbertson of Newark; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters.
