A funeral service for Harry E. Stump Sr., 93, of Grove City, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Miller Funeral Home in Grove City with Derek Stump officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Rest Memorial Estates.
Mr. Stump died Aug. 1, 2002, at Monterey Care Center. He was born Sept. 26, 1908.
Mr. Stump was a member of the Methodist Church in Fremont.
He is survived by his sons, Charles (Margie) Stump of Grove City and Harry Stump Jr. of Marengo; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, 2697 Columbus St., Grove City.

Esther Louise (Yost) Simco

A funeral service for Esther Louise (Yost) Simco, 82, of Newark, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Newark Chapel of Henderson, Van Atta & Johnston Funeral Service with the Rev. William Cronk officiating. Burial will follow in Newark Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Simco, who was a charter member of the Marne United Methodist Church, died Aug. 1, 2002, at Chestnut House in Newark. She was born Sept. 13, 1919 in Newark to the late Kenneth and Flora (Rector) Yost.
Mrs. Simco was a member of the Madison Grange, Pomona Grange and the Licking Valley Activities Group.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Theodore "Ted" and Linda Simco of Chesterfield, Va., and Thomas "Tom" and Diana Simco of Newark; daughters and sons-in-law, the Rev. Geraldine "Gerri" and David Lampton of Heath, and Cynthia "Cindy" and Roger Mitchell of Newark; grandchildren, Annette Simco and Joshua Simco, both of Chesterfield, Va., Bill (Wendy) Simco and Tonya Simco, both of Buckeye Lake, Melissa (Leigh) Vaubel of Hebron, Leslie (Pam) Lampton of Newark, Ashley (Rhonda) Lampton and Beverly (Randy) Parr, both of Thornville, Jennifer (Ethan) McKee of Heath, and Jessica Mitchell and Christopher Mitchell, both of Newark; 19 great-grandchildren; brothers, Max (Bernice) Yost and Kenneth (Marilyn) Yost, both of Newark; sister, Jinny Gregg of Newark; sisters-in-law, Letha Simco of Newark, Gladys Simco and Betty Simco, both of Clyde, Kate Flesher of Parkersburg, W.Va., Sophia Simco of Port Charlotte, Fla., Mary Alice Moore of Mooresville, N.C., and Jean (Richard) Livingston of Columbus; brother-in-law, the Rev. Roger McElfresh of Newark; 42 nieces and nephews; and many cousins and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Russell Simco on Aug. 2, 1991; brother, Russell Yost; and sisters Mary Maharg and Betty McElfresh.

Carl Richard Bruckelmyer

A funeral service for Carl Richard Bruckelmyer, 78, of Logan and formerly of Junction City, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Roberts Funeral Home with the Rev. Brian A. Arnold officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memory Gardens, New Lexington, with a graveside military service by the Combined Veterans of Hocking County.
Mr. Bruckelmyer, who retired after 23 years as a press operator for the Junction City Clay Plant, died Aug. 3, 2002, at Arcadia Acres Nursing Home. He was born Oct. 3, 1923, to the late Herman Carl and Ada Mae (Sands) Bruckelmyer.
Mr. Bruckelmyer was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his son, Richard Lee (Nancy) Bruckelmyer of Walkersville, Md.; daughters, Sandy L. Bruckelmyer of Logan, Brenda (Jerry) Mummey of Newark, and Melody (Harold) Brown of Logan; brothers, Charles H. (Janice) Bruckelmyer of Leesburg, Fla., and Frank (Diane) Bruckelmyer of Gratiot; sisters, Carol Reider of Casselberry, Fla., and Jeannie Kinney of Thornport; special friend, Bessie Climice Adcock of Logan; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Jane (Hoy) Bruckelmyer on June 25, 1985; sisters, Lena Hoehl and Annie Eckorate; and brother-in-law, Bernard Reider.

Patricia Ann Carpenter

A funeral service for Patricia Ann (Martin) Carpenter, 58, of Newark, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Chapel with Bruce Weaver officiating. A private burial will follow at a later date in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Carpenter, who was devoted mother and grandmother, died July 31, 2002, at Morrison House Hospice. She was born Dec. 13, 1943, in Dayton, to the late Alexander C. Martin and Dorothy H. McGrath.
Mrs. Carpenter was a former member of Woodside Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Connie (Carpenter) Allender; sister, Penny Simmers; grandchildren, Cory Shields, Julia Allender and Tristan Allender; two nieces; and five grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
There will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Homeward Bound Humane Society and Morrison House Hospice of Zanesville.
Jerrold Cullison

A graveside service for Jerrold Cullison, 73, of Newark, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Newark Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Cullison, who worked as a production foreman for Newark Stove Co. and Roper Corp., died Aug. 2, 2002 at Selma Markowitz Care Center operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. He was born June 21, 1929, in Hanover, to Edith (Massey) Cullison and the late Star L. Cullison.
Mr. Cullison was a member of Second Presbyterian Church, American Legion Post No. 85, the Newark Moose and the Oldsmobile Antique Club of Northern Ohio.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Joyce (Bonham) Cullison; and son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Donna Cullison of Cincinnati.

A funeral service for Mary E. Swick, 80, of Heath, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Heath Chapel of Henderson, Van Atta and Johnston with the Rev. Gerri Lampton officiating. Burial will follow in Newark Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Swick, who was a member of Heath United Methodist Church, died Aug. 3, 2002, at Selma Markowitz Care Center operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. She was born Sept. 29, 1921, in Grant Town, W.Va., to the late Ira F. White and Artie (Pennington) White.
Mrs. Swick was a homemaker and worked in a factory building military airplanes during World War II.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Joseph Mason Swick Jr. and Beth A. Swick of Newark; daughters and son-in-law, Marsha and John Bibart of Howard, Marilyn Porter of Heath, and Laurie D. Choate of League City, Texas; grandchildren, Monica (Mark) Eutsey of Mount Vernon, John (Samantha) Bibart III of Mason, Jeremy (Christy) Porter of Dyersburg, Tenn.; great-grandchildren, Clint, Clay, Corinne, Abby and Alec; sister and brother-in-law, Marjorie and Harold Carlson of Newark; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph M. Swick Sr. in July 1963; two sisters; and three brothers.

Rodney Lee Trost

A funeral service for Rodney Lee Trost, 62, of Newark, will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Newark Chapel of Henderson, Van Atta & Johnston Funeral Service, with the Rev. Robert L. Knox officiating.
Mr. Trost, who had worked at the Natoma Restaurant for nearly 30 years as a dishwasher, died Aug. 4, 2002, at the Newark Healthcare Centre. He was born Nov. 6, 1939, in Newark, to the late James Dixon and Ruth Evelyn (Trost) Arter.
He is survived by a son, James Michael Trost, U.S. Marine Corp.; brothers, Mike Arter of Newark, and Bill Arter of Buckeye Lake; several nieces and nephews; friends, Susan Turner and Peggy Miller of Buckeye Lake; and many friends at the Natoma.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Terry Arter.
