A military graveside service for Richard E. Wright, 75, of Newark, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Newark Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Wright, a truck mechanic, passed away Dec. 20, 2003, at Riverside Hospital. He was born Feb. 26, 1928, in Johnstown,to the late Robert and Leobelle (Huff) Wright.
Mr. Wright was an Army veteran in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of 97 Newark Masons, 1060 VFW, D.A.V. and the American Legion Post 26.
He is survived by his son, Daniel Wright of Los Angeles, Calif.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Vonnelle C. (Repetro) Wright, who passed away June 11, 1998; and one brother, Stanley E. Wright, who passed away in March of 1994.

Randall 'Randy' Wills
June 9, 1982-Dec. 19, 2003
A funeral service for Randall A. "Randy" Wills, 21, of Dresden, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Dresden Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, with Pastor Scott Robinson officiating.
Randy died Friday, Dec. 19, 2003, at Children's Hospital in Columbus, following a courageous battle with lymphoma.
A 2000 graduate of River View High School and Coshocton County Career Center, building trades division, he was a fourth-year apprentice in the carpenter's union, employed at Hathoway Inc.
Randy was an OHSAA wrestling official and coached varsity wrestling at Tri-Valley and biddy league wrestling at River View. He was a member of the Cooperdale Nazarene Church.
He is the beloved son of Sheri (McNichols) and David Ferrell, and Mark (Darlene) Wills of Fresno; fiancé of Denise Duncan of Warsaw; and is survived by grandparents, Chuck Ferrell of Dresden, Robert McNichols of Dresden, and Cameron Wills of Fresno; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home in Dresden.
Memorial contributions may be sent to a scholarship fund in Randy's memory established at Century National Bank in Dresden. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Lois Dasa Welsh

A funeral service for Lois Dasa Welsh, 94, of Newark, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Wilson Cemetery, with the Rev. Mark Ledbetter officiating.
Mrs. Welsh went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Dec. 21, 2003, at Licking Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Welsh worked as a postmaster in Harrisonville, Ohio, for the U.S. Post Office. She was a member of the Apostolic Temple in Hanover.
She is survived by 22 nieces and nephews; many friends in her church family; a brother, William Hinds of San Diego; three sisters, Juanita Godby and Lena Dusenberry of Zanesville, and Leona Tayhi of Green Valley, Ariz.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Bertha (Beal) Hinds; two husbands, Obert Markins and Rev. Marvin Welsh; two brothers, Theophilus and Robert Leo; and one sister, Effie Mae.

Roger Ray Berry

Roger Ray Berry died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2003, at the Munroe Regional Medical Center in Ocala, Fla. He was born Oct. 23, 1951, in Newark, to Roger F. Berry and Mary Kay Huntsman.
Roger had moved to the area of Ocala, Fla., in February of 2003. He was of the Catholic faith. He graduated from Shenandoah High School in Sarahsville, Ohio.
Roger was in the catering business. His last employment was with Johnson's Catering. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Newark.
He is survived by his son, Kevin R. Berry (Elizabeth Rhodes) of Newark; sister, M.K. Berry of Atlantic Beach, Fla.; sister-in-law, Deborah Left of Atlantic Beach, Fla.; brother, Jimmy Berry of Newark; sister-in-law, Anna Berry of Newark; granddaughter, Yasmine Elsie Berry; stepgranddaughter, Lydia Breighton Clay; two half brothers, Charles Smith and LaVerne Smith, both of Newark; four nieces, Sherry Hetrick, Christy Berry, Cathy Berry and Deborah-Jane Berry; also several cousins.
Private cremation arrangements have been made.

Kathleen M. Kubiak

A funeral service for Kathleen M. Kubiak, 82, of Toledo, will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at the Coyle Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Waterville.
Kathleen died Sunday, Dec. 21, 2003.
She was a registered nurse for more than 35 years in Toledo and Newark, as well as being a loving mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Kubiak; and her sister, Jean Springer.
She is survived by her sons, Robert (Rose) and Richard Case; brothers, Carl "Bud" (Margaret) and Robert (Opal) Cass; as well as grandchildren, Stephanie and Matthew McKee and Steven, Alex and Elizabeth Case.
The family would like to thank the staff at Hospice of NWO for their care and consideration.
Loretta Kay Doughty

A funeral service for Loretta Kay Doughty, 61, of Zanesville, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Bryan Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tom England officiating. A committal service will follow at St. Paul Cemetery, Sonora.
Kay passed away at 2:25 p.m. Monday, Dec. 22, 2003, at Genesis Morrison House Hospice with her family by her side. She was born Aug. 18, 1942, in Zanesville, the daughter of the late Elton and Helen White Wheeler.
She was employed in the deli department of Pick and Save (south store), loved cake baking, Ohio State Football and NASCAR.
She is survived by her husband, Robert "Bob" Doughty to whom she was married on Dec. 22, 1960. Kay died on her 43rd anniversary. Also surviving are two daughters, Amy Jo Durant of Dresden, and Michelle "Missy" (Jeff) Miller of Nashport; five grandchildren, Jill Doughty, Stephanie Durant, Jordan, Dylan and Alyssa Miller; sister, Kathie (Bob) Alexander of Bridgeville; four brothers, Gerald "Sie" (Betty) Wheeler of Zanesville, Robert (Janice) Wheeler of Sonora, Clarence "Hud" (Bonita) Wheeler of Zanesville, and Jeff Wheeler of Zanesville; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; brothers, Ed and Jim Wheeler; two sisters, Yvonne Shinn and Della Foraker; and several nephews.

Goldie Mae Stewart

A funeral service for Goldie Mae Stewart, 84, of Newark, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, with Robert Brucker officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Stewart passed away Dec. 22, 2003, at the Newark Healthcare Centre. She was born on May 18, 1919, in Ansted, W.Va., to the late Pearlew Robert and Frances (Bryant) Anderson.
Mrs. Stewart enjoyed making clowns, quilting, and was a very good cook.
Goldie is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Ray Stewart of Newark; son, Clinton Ray (Norma) Stewart of Bedford, Iowa; daughter, Phyllis Kay (Tommy) Crihfield of Newark; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Stewart is preceded in death by her parents; one brother; two sisters; and one granddaughter.

Dorothy C. Dudas

A funeral mass for Dorothy C. Dudas, 71, of Frazeysburg, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Thomas Catholic Church, with Father Thomas DiFede as celebrant. Burial will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park.
Dorothy passed away at 5:25 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 21, 2003, at Grant Medical Center, Columbus. She was born Nov. 3, 1932, in Zanesville, the daughter of the late Orville Michael and Laura E. Paul Henderson.
Mrs. Dudas was a retired registered nurse and a former RN in the clinic at the Longaberger Basket Co., an active member at St. Thomas Catholic Church, where she served as a volunteer. She was a member of the Good Samaritan Alumni Association and the Genealogy Society at the John McIntire Library.
Surviving are her husband, George Dudas Jr. of the home; three sons, G. Michael (Mary) Dudas of Frazeysburg, Patrick L. (Linda) Dudas of Zanesville, and Matthew Devin (Keeley) Dudas of McConnelsville; five sisters, Mary C. Johnson of Zanesville, Sister Michaeleen (Martha Ann) Henderson of Columbus, Dolores Mahon of Philo, Donna (Gerald) Jardine of Zanesville, and Celesta (Homer) Maxwell of Zanesville; one brother, J. Paul Henderson of Zanesville; two grandchildren, Rachel and John Dudas; four stepgrandchildren, Annie and Denise Hoffman, and Patrick and Jack Conlan; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Plants; and by two brothers, Robert and Joseph Henderson.
Friends may call 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Bolin Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville. A rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
