Jack Junior Lohri

A funeral service for Jack Junior Lohri, 78, of Heath, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Heath United Methodist Church with the Rev. Gerri Lampton officiating. Burial will follow in Hanover Cemetery.
Mr. Lohri, who retired from Georgia-Pacific, died Oct. 4, 2002, at the home of his daughter. He was born Nov. 20, 1923, in Smithfield, W.Va., to the late Conrad L. and Florence (Lohr) Lohri.
Mr. Lohri was a member of the Heath United Methodist Church and life member of the VFW Post 1060. He was a World War II Navy veteran serving on the USS Barnes. He was formerly active in the 52-20 Club, served as a Boy Scout Troop 9 committee member and Optomist baseball coach.
He is survived by children, Joy (Derald) Gleckler of Heath, Jay (Lorrie) Lohri of Heath, and Kara (Donald) Christy of Newark; six grandsons; two granddaughters; three great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; brother, Gene (Marie) Lohri of Glendale, W.Va.; brother-in-law, Joe (Joyce) Fiest of Grove City, Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews; and good friend and golfing partner, Claude "Top" Gose.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Jean (Fiest) Lohri, who died Feb. 20, 1998; grandson, Shane R. Christy, who died in January 1978; and two brothers.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Heath Chapel of Henderson, Van Atta & Johnston Funeral Service, 1249 Hebron Road, Heath, where the VFW Post 1060 will hold services at 6:45 p.m.

Margaret Louise (Miller) Arends
May 9, 1923-Oct. 5, 2002
A funeral service for Margaret Louise (Miller) Arends, 79, of Johnstown, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Kauber-Miller Funeral Home. Burial will be in Glen Rest Memorial Estate.
Arends died Oct. 5, 2002, at St. Ann's Hospital. She was born May 9, 1923, in Columbus to the late Margie and Earl Miller.
She was a member of the Little Chippers Wood Carving Club and the Sears Retirees.
She is survived by daughters, Linda (Tom) Arends Ralley of Portland, Ore., and Barbara (John) Abendschein of Johnstown; grandchildren, Dawn (Kevin) Dick of Alexandria and Emily Abendschein of Johnstown; and great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Ashton and Darian.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Arends Jr.; and two brothers.

Clarence D. Compton Sr.
March 6, 1920-Oct. 3, 2002
A funeral service for Clarence D. Compton Sr., 82, of Newark, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, with pastors Bryan Grove and Joseph Redmond officiating. Burial will follow in Newark Memorial Gardens, where military services will be provided.
Mr. Compton, who worked with Owens Corning production planning, died Oct. 3, 2002, at Licking Memorial Hospital. He was born March 6, 1920, in Coatesville, Pa., to the late Arthur C. and Amy (Winward) Compton.
Mr. Compton was a veteran of World War II then went into the Navy Reserves and retired from the Navy in 1980 as a senior chief yeoman.
He was a member of First Christian Union Church and the Gideon's International. He also was a volunteer at Licking Memorial Hospital and was a past bowler of the Rolling 60's League.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Compton of Newark; daughters, Carol (Richard) Hayden of Newark, Bonnie (David) Grigsby of Newark, Debra S. Compton of Newark; son, C. David (Modena) Compton Jr. of Newark; brother, Arthur C. Compton of Westchester, Pa.; sisters, Edith DeWeese of Pennsylvania and Alice Palen of Connecticut; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Clara Hartenstine; and brother, Warren Compton.

Seth T. Brison

A graveside service for Seth T. Brison, 5, of Millersport, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Millersport Cemetery, with the Rev. Richard Rothemich officiating.
Seth, who attended kindergarten at Millersport Elementary, died Oct. 4, 2002, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born April 12, 1997, in Lancaster, to Ralph E. "Chip" Dowler Jr. of Columbus, and Lisa G. (Blevins) Brison of Millersport.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by four brothers, Dillon Dowler of Columbus, Nicholas Andrew Brison of Millersport, Austin Edward Brison of Millersport, and Richard Aaron Thompson of Buckeye Lake; grandparents, Betty Cramer of Chilhowie, Va., Warren Blevins of Marion, Va., and Ralph and Ginger Dowler Sr. of Columbus; great-grandparents, Sylvia and Earl Gilley of Chilhowie, Va.; stepmother, Tracie Dowler of Columbus; aunt, Renee Porter of Baltimore; uncle, Christopher Blevins of Marion, Va.; several other aunts, uncles and cousins; and special friends, Ed Brison, Linda Flaherty and Gene Thompson.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Keith J. Cogswell.

Annie V. Pryor

A funeral service for Annie V. Pryor, 84, of Pataskala, will be held at 10 a.m. today at the Kauber-Miller Funeral Home in Pataskala. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. in Elm Ridge Cemetery, Muncie, Ind.
Mrs. Pryor died Oct. 4, 2002. She was born Nov. 18, 1917, in Brownsville, Ky., to the late George H. and Effie Hogan.
She is survived by her son, Jim (Linda) Phillips of Reynoldsburg; granddaughter, Missy Phillips; grandson, James (Lisa) Phillips; great-granddaughter, Amanda Phillips; sisters, Evelyn Mills and Edna Key; brother, Frank (Norma) Hogan; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Millard Pryor.
Gloria F. Keller Lamb Hutton

A funeral service for Gloria F. Keller Lamb Hutton, 75, of Pleasantville, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Zeigler Emanuel Lutheran Church, with the Rev. David Riley officiating. Burial will follow in Zeigler Cemetery.
Mrs. Hutton, a member of Zeigler Emanuel Lutheran Church and Zeigler Emanuel Lutheran Church Ladies Aid, died Oct. 8, 2002, at the Fairfield Medical Center.
Mrs. Hutton was a member of Pleasant Grange 1615, Fairfield County Pomona Grange 1 and State and National Granges.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Shirley Lamb (Mark) McPherson of Baltimore, Ohio; granddaughter, Lisa McPherson of Huntington Beach, Calif.; grandson, Jay McPherson of Ypsilanti, Mich.; brother and sister-in-law, Leonard (Pat) Keller of Lancaster; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Carolyn Keller (Virgil) George of Lancaster, and Julia Keller (Kenny) Longshore of Sunbury; brother-in-law, Herb West; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Mava Keller; two husbands, Arthur V. Lamb and Charles S. Hutton; brother, Norman Keller; and sister, Katharine Keller West.

Willis M. Sprague

A graveside service for Willis M. Sprague, 98, of Doylestown, Pa., formerly of Sarasota, Fla., will be held at a later date in Killbuck, Ohio.
Mr. Sprague died Oct. 7, 2002. He was born in Muskingum County to the late Elijah and Odessa (Kinner) Sprague.
Mr. Sprague came to Sarasota in 1978 from Killbuck. He was an accountant for the Ohio Power Company from which he retired in 1969. He retired a second time as owner/operator of a retail business and rental property in Killbuck, which he sold in 1978.
Mr. Sprague was a member of St. Armand's Lutheran Church, former member of Forest Lake Golf Club in Sarasota, a life Elk member and charter member of Sahib Shrine.
He is survived by his two daughters, Margaret (Richard A.) Oviatt of Shaker Heights, and Berta (Michael J.) Duncan of Doylestown, Pa.; four granddaughters; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Laura (Duncan) Sprague, in 1993.
