Thomas Joseph Tippett
Dec. 16, 1946-June 11, 2003
A graveside service for Thomas Joseph Tippett, 56, of Newark, will be held at 1 p.m. today at Cedar Hill Cemetery, where full military services will be held.
Mr. Tippett, a self-employed painter, died June 11, 2003, at his residence. He was born Dec. 16, 1946, in Buchel, Ohio, to the late Donald and Josephine Davis Tippett.
Mr. Tippett served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his sons, Thomas D. Tippett and Chance J. Tippett, both of Newark; brothers, Dale Tippett of Newark, and Donald Tippett of Texas; and stepbrother, Richard Davis of Murray City.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Keith; sister, Loretta Sullivan; and stepbrother, Jerry Davis.

John W. Rosser Jr.
April 19, 1944-June 15, 2003
A funeral service for John W. Rosser Jr., 59, of Newark, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Cannon-Lanning Funeral Home, with the Rev. David Havens officiating. Burial will follow in Iliff Cemetery.
Mr. Rosser, a retired painter for Owens-Corning, died June 15, 2003, in Newark. He was born April 19, 1944, in McCluney, Ohio, to the late John W. and Ann (Butts) Rosser Sr.
He is survived by his daughter, Angie (Jeff) Shumaker of Newark; brothers, James Rosser of Newark, and David Rosser of Crooksville; sisters, Cathy Rosser and Barbara Rosser of Crooksville; grandchildren, Ryan Shumaker and Brooke Shumaker; and great-granddaughter, Aubrea Brubaker.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Cathy (Hinkle) Rosser, who died July 30, 1994; brother, Walter Rosser; and sister, Linda Gaddis.

Susan Kay Hunter

A memorial service for Susan Kay Hunter, 62, of Kirkersville, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Kirkersville United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Richard O. Rothemich officiating.
Mrs. Hunter, a member of the Kirkersville United Methodist Church where she was very active, died June 16, 2003, at her residence. She was born Oct. 16, 1940, in Milwaukee, Wis., to the late John Edward and Florence Pearl (Twose) Moss.
Mrs. Hunter was a homemaker and had been a relief clerk at the Post Office in Kirkersville. She was also a member of the Mothers Club.
She is survived by her daughter, Laurie Fesler of Kirkersville; sons, Larry Hunter of Jacksonville, Fla., and Jimmy Hunter of Hilliard; grandchildren, Sydney and Sam Fesler; brother, Jack Moss of Orlando, Fla.; sisters, Sandy (Keith) Crow of Nashville, Tenn., and Linda and Gary Steen of Lancaster; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Hunter, on Oct. 10, 2000; and a brother, Chuck Moss.

Gavin Neighbor

A funeral service for Army Corporal Gavin Neighbor, also known as Gary Wagner, 20, of Somerset, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at New Lexington High School, with CH (CPT) Todd Hollins, 82nd Airborne Division officiating.
Mr. Neighbor was killed June 10, 2003, in Baghdad, Iraq. He was born Nov. 25, 1982, in Newark. He was a 2001 graduate of New Lexington High School, and was assigned to Company C, 3rd Battalion, 325th Airborne Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division of the United States Army in Fort Bragg, N.C.
He is survived by his parents, Willie and Cathy Bonham Neighbor of the home; fiancee, Rachel Sanderson of Fayetteville, N.C.; sisters, Roxanne (Josh) Lewis of the home, and Tracy Neighbor of Newark; brother, Willie Neighbor Jr. of Newark; two nieces, Taylor Lewis and Briana Lewis, both of the home; grandmothers, Gladys Hykes of Newark, and Doris Pargeon of Newark; and several aunts and uncles.

Marian J. Waters

A funeral service for Marian Josephine Waters, 80, of Newark, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Newark Chapel of Henderson, Van Atta & Johnston Funeral Service. Burial will follow in Newark Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Waters, a homemaker, died June 17, 2003, at Riverside Methodist Hospital. She was born Dec. 23, 1922, in Newark, to the late Earl and Thurma Stauffer.
Mrs. Waters was a lifelong member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and attended Hanover Presbyterian Church. She was a former member of Twig 8.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Earlene (Tom) Henderson of Newark; son, Phillip E. Waters of Bloomfield, N.M.; four grandchildren, Matthew Waters, Carrie Henderson (William) Guisinger, Blake Henderson and Laurie Henderson; and great-grandson, Thomas Henderson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl W. Waters, on March 24, 1996.

Debra Bailey Prince

A funeral service for Debra Bailey Prince, 49, of Heath, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Tom Myers officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Ms. Prince, a machine operator with Owens Cornings for 27 years, died June 17, 2003, at Licking Memorial Hospital. She was born June 19, 1953, in Newark, to Maxine (Watson) Bailey of Newark, and the late Lawrence Bailey.
Ms. Prince was a member of Wright Memorial United Methodist Church.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her daughter, Wendy Prince of Newark; son, Dustin Prince of Newark; brother and sister-in-law, John and Chris Bailey of Newark; sister and brother-in-law, Donna Jean and Mike Murphy of Newark; uncle, Jim (Mary) Watson of Newark; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Freda E. Price

A funeral service for Freda E. Price, 82, of Newark, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Newark Chapel of Henderson, Van Atta and Johnston Funeral Service, with the Rev. Robert L. Knox officiating. Interment will take place at 3 p.m. Saturday in Bald Knob Cemetery, Long Bottom, Ohio, with the Rev. Linda Damewood officiating.
Mrs. Price, who retired from Meijer's in 1993 where she had worked at the service desk, died June 19, 2003, at the Newark Healthcare Centre. She was born Dec. 26, 1920, in Long Bottom, Ohio, to the late Raymond and Bessie (Bentz) Fitch.
Mrs. Price had also been employed for several years at Pharis Tire and Rubber.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Harley Joe Hanes of Newark, and Marilyn and George Goumas of Fort Myers, Fla.; four grandchildren, Jason (Ann) Guthrie, Joey Hanes, Brett Hanes, and Keely (Tony) Perry, all of Newark; three great-grandchildren; five sisters, Fern Price of Hebron, Linda (Carmel) Oiler of Utica, Ada Mae (Lawrence) Pratt, Alberta Gluesencamp, and Donna (Richard) Wills, all of Newark; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willard N. Price in 1984; and brother, Raymond Fitch Jr.
