A funeral service for Evelyn G. Clatty, 73, of Millersport, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Thornville Chapel of Boring-Sheridan Funeral Home, with the Rev. Leslie Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Millersport Cemetery.
Mrs. Clatty, owner and operator of the Canal Restaurant in Millersport for 28 years, died June 20, 2003, at the home of her son. She was born Aug. 22, 1929, in Akron, to the late James Norflit and Sadie Salena (Barnes) Goree.
Mrs. Clatty was a member of the Buckeye Lake VFW Post No. 1388 Auxiliary and Millersport American Legion Post No. 637 Auxiliary.
She is survived by sons Robert R. (Justina) Clatty, of Tabor City, N.C., Bart Carlton (Kelly) Clatty, of Thornville; daughter, Melissa (Criss) Clum, of Thornville; six grandchildren; one great-grandson; sisters, Jennie "Bonnie" Lower, of Stow, Elsie Marstellar, of Youngstown; and brother, Kenneth (Becky) Goree, of Fairlawn.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Carlton Clatty, who passed away in 1990, and brother James Goree, who passed away in 2001.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, where American Legion Auxiliary services will be held at 7 p.m.

Catherine E. Surratt

A funeral service for Catherine E. Surratt, 83, of Heath, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Newark Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Surratt, a retired manager of Lawsons, died June 21, 2003, at Autumn Health Care. She was born Feb. 7, 1920, in Bellaire, to the late Clarence and Carrie (Cutshaver) Justice.
Mrs. Surratt was a member of Cox United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her sons, Richard (Linda) Surratt of Medford, Ore., and Don (Nonda) Surratt of Hebron; daughters, Carol (Wayne) Boston of Summer Shade, Ky., and Brenda (Robert) Brabb of Heath; sisters, Elizabeth Surratt of Sandusky, and Margaret Castello of Sandusky; grandchildren, Michele (Tim) Smith of Edmonton, Ky., Mike Boston of Summer Shade, Ky., Jeff Brabb of Heath, and Steve Brabb of Columbus; stepgrandchildren, Bethany, Nick and Moriah; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Surratt; and brothers, William and Fred.

W. David Conner
May 2, 1915-June 21, 2003
A funeral service for W. David Conner, 88, of Newark, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Newark Chapel of Henderson, Van Atta & Johnston Funeral Service, with Pastor Donald Mashgat officiating. Burial will follow in Newark Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Conner, who was an avid fisherman and coin collector, died June 21, 2003, at Licking Memorial Hospital. He was born May 2, 1915, in South Pittsburgh, Tenn., to the late Jerry Myer Conner and the late Minnie Pearl (Stevens) Conner.
Mr. Conner had been retired from Owens-Corning Fiberglas since 1977. He was a member of the Toboso United Methodist Church, where he served as a past trustee. He was a member of 338 Masons of Hanover, and served in the National Guard in Mississippi in 1938, Battery E, 134th Field Artillery of the 37th Buckeye Division.
He is survived by his wife, Elnoria (Hoyoux) Conner; daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and John Markham of Newark, and Bonnie and Wayne Patterson of Newark; grandchildren, Aimee (Tony) McCann of Delaware, Ohio, Rob (Patricia) Dennis of Newark, Mark Robinson of South Carolina, Wendi (Jim) Clardy of Medina, Carrie Robinson of Newport Beach, Calif., and Jill (Matt) Mumaw of Blacklick; six great-granddaughters; brothers, Jack (Kathy) Conner and Jim (Violet) Conner; sister-in-law, Marie Conner; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles, Jerry and Richard Conner; and four sisters, Betty Cass, Minnie Villinger, Ollie Chilcote and Ruby Young.

Mary Lou Wirth
Jan. 10, 1928-June 21, 2003
A memorial service for Mary Lou Wirth, 75, of Newark, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Robert L. Knox officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Wirth, who was a member of the Hetuck Chapter of D.A.R. for more than 30 years, died June 21, 2003, at Licking Memorial Hospital. She was born Jan. 10, 1928, in Scranton, Pa., to the late Gordon G. and Etta (Fedderman) Kibler.
Mrs. Wirth held a B.A. degree from West Virginia University.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, H. Warren Wirth; son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Sheri Wirth of Scottsburg, Ind.; daughter, Eden Wirth of Marion; and sisters, Alice Mac Wilkinson of California, and Anne Kibler of Columbus.
Friends may call from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the service at the funeral home, 179 Granville St., Newark.

William 'Michael' Craig

A funeral service for William "Michael" Craig, 51, of Johnstown, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church of Newark, with the Rev. Craig Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Newark Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Craig, a teacher at Johnstown High School, died June 22, 2003, at St. Ann's Hospital. He was born Nov. 21, 1951, in Newark, to William A. Craig and the late Ann (Weidner) Craig.
Mr. Craig coached football, basketball and track at Johnstown High School. He graduated from Kent State University, and received his master's degree from Ohio Dominican College.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Gail (Booher) Craig; son, Chris Craig of Johnstown; daughter, Molly Craig of Johnstown; sisters, Julie (Dave) Riley of Newark, and Dottie Hatfield of Ames, Iowa; brother-in-law, Gene Booher; and several nieces and nephews.

John J. Fiore Sr.

A funeral mass for John J. Fiore Sr., 70, of Albuquerque, N.M., formerly of Newark and New Lexington, will be held at 11 a.m. June 30 at St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church.
Mr. Fiore, who served in the U.S. Army from 1953-56, died June 13, 2003, at the Veterans Hospital in Albuquerque, N.M. He was born in New Lexington, to the late Carmello "Frank" Fiore and Rosa Fiore.
He is survived by his wife, Joan; daughters, Billie Jean Fiore of Newark, and Tracy Fiore of California; son and daughter-in-law, John and Monica Fiore of Granville; grandchildren, Anthony Munyan of Newark, Vince, Ellie and Gabrielle Fiore of Granville, and Kyle Munyan of Mississippi; brothers, Peter, William (Dottie) and Tony (Dot); sisters, Rose (Dominic) Epifano, Mary Moscarino and Louise Agriesti; sisters-in-law, Caroline Fiore and Sylvia Fiore; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Christina Munyan; brothers, Joseph Fiore and Samuel Fiore; sister-in-law, Rose Fiore; and brothers-in-law, Charles Moscarino and Joseph Agriesti.

M. Eileen Wilde-Graham

A funeral service for M. Eileen Wilde-Graham, 80, of Heath, will be held at noon Wednesday at the Free Funeral Home, with the Rev. Robert A. Wright officiating. Burial will follow in South Lawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Wilde-Graham, who was employed by Kroger's of Newark and Heath for 22 years before retiring in 1970, died June 23, 2003, at Licking Memorial Hospital. She was born July 1, 1922, in Coshocton County, to the late Clarence O. Reigle and Bessie Faye (Pew) Reigle-Winegar.
Mr. Wilde-Graham was a member of the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary 387 and the Women of the Moose 964, both of Newark.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol Ann (Gary) Weed of Newark; three grandchildren, Jackie Colley, Crystal Barrett and Kevin (Tina) Peck; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; four brothers, C. Dale Reigle of Warsaw, Harold E. (Lavada) Reigle of Columbus, Donald E. (Jan) Reigle and Thomas D. Reigle, both of Coshocton; three sisters, Mary J. (Gary) Ulrich, Margaret M. Hawthorne and Patricia Ann Wright, all of Coshocton; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Paul H. Graham, whom she married on Sept. 1, 1970, and died on Dec. 2, 1992, and Dale M. Wilde; two sisters, Leona Ensley and Betty Edie; and four brothers, Leonard, C. Wilbur, W. Eugene "Gene," and Raymond F. "Ray" Reigle.

Vaughn S. Harris

A memorial service for Vaughn S. Harris, 90, of Centerburg, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Centerburg United Methodist Church. The Rev. Gary Pollock will officiate. Interment will be in Eastview Cemetery, Centerburg.
Mr. Harris, formerly of Alexandria, Va., and Alexandria, Ohio, died March 12, 2003, at Knox Community Hospital.
Mr. Harris was a 1929 graduate of Croton (Hartford) High School and attended The Ohio State University from 1930-1931. He was a 65-year member of Masonic Bloomfield Lodge 422 and a member of Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, 32nd degree, since 1946.
Mr. Harris was born in Sycamore Valley in Monroe County and became a Knox County resident when his father took a job at the blacksmith shop next door to the livery stables in Lock, Ohio. From 1933-39 he owned and operated a blacksmith business in Alexandria.
He was employed as the senior tool designer for Rockwell International (North American Aviation) in Columbus, Owens Corning Fiberglas Research Labs in Newark and retired in 1977 from DeLeuw Cather Consulting Engineer's in Washington, D.C. (Washington Subway System).
He is survived by his children, Richard (Nancy) Harris of Austin, Texas, and Judith (Mark) Strader of Westerville; seven grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, E. Carl and Nettie (Parks) Harris; sister, Mabel Harris of Columbus; brother, Floyd Harris of Columbus; and wife, Gwendolyn (Fowls) Harris, whom he married in 1936 at the Centerburg United Methodist Church.
Friends may call a half hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church, which is located on the corner of Hartford and Church streets in Centerburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, the Centerburg United Methodist Church or a charity of one's choice.
The family is being served by the Ohio Cremation and Memorial Society and Rodman Funeral Service.
