Mary E. Moran

A funeral service for Mary E. Moran, 76, of Newark, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Newark Chapel of Henderson, Van Atta & Johnston Funeral Service, with the Rev. Robert L. Knox officiating. Entombment will follow in Newark Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Moran, a member of the Second Church of Christ, died June 23, 2003, at Grant Medical Center. She was born April 1, 1927, in Creamery, W.Va., to the late James L. and Robbie Faye (Smith) Pitzer.
Mrs. Moran retired in 1984 after 15 years of service from Owens-Corning Fiberglas, where she had worked in the cafeteria. She had also been formerly employed by the Dinner Bell Restaurant and at Big Bear, where she had worked in the meat department.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Carl G. Moran, whom she married on March 15, 1947; daughters and son-in-law, Beverly Moran of Hebron, and Sharon and Paul Talbott of Newark; grandchildren, Michael Talbott, Dawn (Wayne) Cooper and Katie (Jason) Hartman; great-grandchildren, Skylar, Austin, Landon, Katyland and Laci; sister and brother-in-law, Ruby and Herbie Blevins of North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Glen Pitzer and Carey Pitzer; and sister, Ethel Matthews.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, 59 N. Fifth St., Newark.

John Richard Walke
Oct. 3, 1952-June 24, 2003
A funeral service for John Richard Walke, 50, of Pataskala, will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Kauber-Miller Funeral Home, with Chaplin Roland Wildin officiating.
Mr. Walke died June 24, 2003, at Mount Carmel East Hospital. He was born Oct. 3, 1952, in Columbus.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce E. Walke; mother, Lois Hayhurst-Walke of Whitehall; eight children, Angela (Rick) Vickers of Mesa, Ariz., Robert (Sallie) Piotrowski of Chestnut Ridge, N.Y., Shellie Piotrowski of New Albany, John W. (Stephanie) Walke of Louisville, Ky., Brian Walke of Wichita, Kan., Laurie Piotrowski of Chicago, Ill., Mollie Piotrowski of Columbus, and Todd Piotrowski of Etna; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Beverly Gilg and Jean (Gary) Williams, both of Whitehall; brother, Tony (Brenda) Walke of Columbus; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, John A. Walke; and one sister, Yvonne M. Walke.

M. Eileen Wilde-Graham
July 1, 1922-June 23, 2003
A funeral service for M. Eileen Wilde-Graham, 80, of Heath, will be held at noon Wednesday at the Free Funeral Home, with the Rev. Robert A. Wright officiating. Burial will follow in South Lawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Wilde-Graham, who was employed by Kroger of Newark and Heath for 22 years before retiring in 1970, died June 23, 2003, at Licking Memorial Hospital. She was born July 1, 1922, in Coshocton County, to the late Clarence O. Reigle and Bessie Faye (Pew) Reigle-Winegar.
Mrs. Wilde-Graham was a member of the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary 387 and the Women of the Moose 964, both of Newark.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol Ann (Gary) Weed of Newark; three grandchildren, Jackie Colley, Crystal Barrett and Kevin (Tina) Peck; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; four brothers, C. Dale Reigle of Warsaw, Harold E. (Lavada) Reigle of Columbus, Donald E. (Jan) Reigle and Thomas D. Reigle, both of Coshocton; three sisters, Mary J. (Gary) Ulrich, Margaret M. Hawthorne and Patricia Ann Wright, all of Coshocton; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Paul H. Graham, whom she married on Sept. 1, 1970, and who died on Dec. 2, 1992, and Dale M. Wilde; two sisters, Leona Ensley and Betty Edie; and four brothers, Leonard, C. Wilbur, W. Eugene "Gene," and Raymond F. "Ray" Reigle.

John J. Fiore Sr.
June 10, 1933-June 13, 2003
A funeral mass for John J. Fiore Sr., 70, of Albuquerque, N.M., formerly of Newark and New Lexington, will be held at 11 a.m. June 30 at St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church.
Mr. Fiore, who served in the U.S. Army from 1953-56, died June 13, 2003, at the Veterans Hospital in Albuquerque, N.M. He was born in New Lexington, to the late Carmello "Frank" Fiore and Rosa Fiore.
He is survived by his wife, Joan; daughters, Billie Jean Fiore of Newark, and Tracy Fiore of California; son and daughter-in-law, John and Monica Fiore of Granville; grandchildren, Anthony Munyan of Newark, Vince, Ellie and Gabrielle Fiore of Granville, and Kyle Munyan of Mississippi; brothers, Peter, William (Dottie) and Tony (Dot); sisters, Rose (Dominic) Epifano, Mary Moscarino and Louise Agriesti; sisters-in-law, Caroline Fiore and Sylvia Fiore; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Christina Munyan; brothers, Joseph Fiore and Samuel Fiore; sister-in-law, Rose Fiore; and brothers-in-law, Charles Moscarino and Joseph Agriesti.

Margaret Bounds
Jan. 24, 1908-June 22, 2003
A funeral service for Margaret L. Bounds, 95, of Hebron, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Wesley B. Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery.
Miss Bounds, a retired administrator with Bounds Addition of Buckeye Lake, died June 22, 2003, at the Arlington Nursing Home. She was born Jan. 24, 1908, in Buckeye Lake, to the late Linsley Harvey and Julia (Slocumb) Bounds.
Miss Bounds was a member of the Buckeye Lake Chamber of Commerce, Buckeye Lake Historical Society, Eagon Chapter 123 of Eastern Star and Hebron United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her sister, Helen S. Langel of Stoughton, Wis.; eight nieces and nephews; 15 great-nieces and great-nephews; and several great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Bernice M. Barb and Mary E. Bounds; brothers, John T. Bounds, Charles E. Bounds and Nelson L. Bounds; and nephew, Lewis E. Barb II.

Amalia A. 'Molly' Schelhorn
July 2, 1920-June 4, 2003
A memorial service for Amalia A. Schelhorn, 82, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 107 E. Broadway, Granville, with the Rev. Robert N. Haven officiating.
Mrs. Schelhorn died June 4, 2003, at the Newark Healthcare Centre, where she had been a multi-year resident.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Frederick; son, Peter J. Schelhorn of Atlanta, Ga.; daughters, Mary A. Peterson of Washington, D.C., Jean E. Schelhorn of Granville, and Amalia J. Buttemer of Victoria, B.C.; and nine grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ellen; brother, Alfred; and son, Frederick Paul.

Raymond F. Van Atta
April 15, 1920-June 23, 2003
Services and burial for Raymond F. Van Atta, 83, of Naples, Fla., will be held in Naples Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Van Atta died June 23, 2003, at ManorCare Lakewood. He was born April 15, 1920, in Newark, to the late Jess and Mary (Hughes) Van Atta.
Mr. Van Atta moved to Naples in 1967 from Newark and was a former employee of Kepp's Men's Shop and The Paddle and was a strong supporter of the Florida Sheriff's Youth Ranches.
In the Newark, Utica and Heath area, he was a farmer, a land developer and also a barber. He was instrumental in the starting of Heath Village and a member of the first village council and helped with the development of the water system in Heath.
He is survived by his daughter, Cynthia S. Haas and her husband, Paul of Heath; and two granddaughters, Holly and Christy.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances (Martin) Van Atta, who died in September of 1976; brothers, Jess Jr. and Roger; and sisters, Velma and Virginia.

Sadie Marie Sturgill
June 16, 1916-June 24, 2003
A funeral service for Sadie Marie Sturgill, 87, of Newark, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, with the Rev. Curtis Martin officiating.
Mrs. Sturgill, a homemaker and member of Family of Faith Church of Newark, died June 24, 2003, at Mount Carmel East Hospital. She was born June 16, 1916, in Pike County, Ky., to the late Lawrence and Mabel (McIlree) Curry.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary Lake, Vivian Houston and Donna Wilson, all of Newark; brother, Lawrence Curry of Fairport Harbor; grandchildren, Kenneth Houston Jr., Angela Houston, Dale Houston, Kimberly Houston, Tina Schafer and Bobbie Hill; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Clifford Woodruff and Fred Sturgill; brother, George; and sister, Grace.
