Blanche Richcreek

A funeral service for Blanche Richcreek, 97, of Utica, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Law-Baker Funeral Home, with Brian Priest officiating. Burial will follow in Eden Cemetery.
Mrs. Richcreek, a retired teacher from Newton Elementary School, died July 6, 2003, at Arlington Nursing Home in Newark. She was born Feb. 15, 1906, in Brokaw, to the late Jeremiah M. and Ida B. (Cheadle) VanFleet.
Mrs. Richcreek was a member of Eden Church of Christ.
She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Norma Mercurio of Columbus, and Sarah and Philip Torrens of Utica; and two grandchildren, Joe and Ellen Torrens of Utica.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward D. Richcreek, on July 12, 1995; three brothers; and six sisters.

Delmar Wayne Wiley
Oct. 9, 1942-July 5, 2003
A funeral service for Delmar Wayne Wiley, 60, of Zanesville, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Bryan Funeral Home, with the Rev. Doris Flynn officiating. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park.
Mr. Wiley died July 5, 2003, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. He was born Oct. 9, 1942, in Caldwell, to the late August Wayne Wiley and Dorothy (Dunlap) Wiley Little.
Mr. Wiley retired from the Zanesville Fire Department in May 1994 after 28 years of service. A veteran of the U.S. Army and Ohio National Guard serving from 1960-1964, he was a former employee of Lowe's, past member of the Zoning Board of Falls Township, and a former volunteer firefighter for Caldwell and Falls Township Volunteer Fire Departments.
Mr. Wiley was an avid Ohio State and NASCAR fan, with Dale Jarrett his favorite driver.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Dianna D. (Jones) Wiley; two sons, Kevin (Lisa) Wiley of Hilliard, and Michael (Kirsten) Wiley of Pickerington; daughter, Kimberley Wiley of Zanesville; grandchildren, Erica and Paige Wiley of Hilliard, and Kyanne and Kolt Wiley of Pickerington; mother-in-law, Neva Jones of Zanesville; sister-in-law, Lisa Jones of Galloway; and niece, Grace Jones of Galloway.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother; and father-in-law, Paul E. Jones.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today, and 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, 2318 Maple Ave., Zanesville.

Scott Wells

A funeral service for Scott Wells, 33, of Newark, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Robert L. Knox officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Wells died July 10, 2003, at his home. He was born Sept. 30, 1969, in Newark to Raymond Wells of Indianapolis and Patricia (White) Smith of Newark.
Mr. Wells enjoyed traveling the country.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his grandparents, Dorothy Morrison, Verne White and John and Norma Smith; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Clarence D. 'Jerry' Northup

A graveside service for Clarence D. "Jerry" Northup, 53, of Roseville, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Rosehill Cemetery, with the Rev. Roy Keyser officiating.
Mr. Northup died July 3, 2003, in an auto accident. He was born May 6, 1950, in Zanesville to Marne D. Northup and Frances C. Smith Northup of Norwich.
He was a member of the Eagles at Crooksville.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a son, Jeremy Northup of Roseville; two daughters, Jennifer (Tad) Thompson of Byesville and Julie Northup of Roseville; two brothers, Chris (Tammy) Northup of Zanesville and Cevin (Connie) Northup of Zanesville; two sisters, Cindy Northup of Norwich and Connie Northup of Roseville; nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete for Mary M. Lehman, 88, of Alexandria, who died July 14, 2003, at the Arlington Nursing Home in Newark.

Pastor Charles T. 'Tom' Snedeker
May 10, 1949-July 13, 2003
A celebration of the life of Pastor Charles T. "Tom" Snedeker, 54, of Newark, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at The Old Country Church, with Bishop George Parsons officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Pastor Snedeker died July 13, 2003, at Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was born May 10, 1949, in Newark, to Thomas L. and Delores J. (Johnson) Snedeker of Newark.
Pastor Snedeker founded The Old Country Church in 1983. He was active in the Licking County Jail Ministries, Licking County Food Pantry, International Ministerial Association, Land of Legend Gospel Music Group for a number of years, Gospel Music Time Radio Program on WHTH and WNKO, adjunct of the DAV. He held several positions helping to minister in many of the local churches. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a certified Hunter Education Specialist with the State of Ohio, Division of Wildlife. He had also served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 33 years, Nancy A. (Decker) Snedeker, whom he married on Oct. 18, 1969; three daughters, Missy (Benjamin) Wile Jr., Sheri (Eric) Johnson and Candee Cooperider, all of Newark; seven grandchildren, Alyson Johnson, Tommy Johnson, Trent Cooperider, Benny Wile III, Damond Cooperider, and Nathan and Caleb Wile; seven brothers, Frank (Linda) Snedeker, Tony (Debbie) Snedeker, Jeff (Carla) Snedeker, Robbie (Ursula) Snedeker, Mark Snedeker, and Tim (Betsy) Snedeker, all of Newark, and Steve Snedeker of Murdock, Fla.; sister, Nancy (Tim) Specht of Utica; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Mike Snedeker.

David T. Pickering
Sept. 20, 1955-July 14, 2003
A private funeral service for David T. Pickering, 47, of Reynoldsburg, will take place on Friday. Burial will follow in Glen Rest Memorial Estate.
Mr. Pickering, who graduated from Watkins Memorial High School, died July 14, 2003, at his home following a short illness. He was born Sept. 20, 1955, in Columbus.
Mr. Pickering won many awards showing registered Holsteins from his family's Rustling Brook Farm herd. He attended The Ohio State University, where he was a member of Romaphos and Bucket and Dipper Honoraries, president of Alpha Zeta fraternity and represented O.S.U. as a member of both dairy cattle and general livestock intercollegiate judging teams. For years, he had judged the FFA state and national dairy projects awards. He also had worked for Select Sires as a dairy sire analyst, and more recently was involved in dairy leasing.
He is survived by his fiancée, Angie Munyan; two sons, Abraham and Russell Pickering; parents, Roger and Astrid Pickering; sister, Joan Burns; brothers, Jim and Joe Pickering; two nieces; one nephew; and two special friends, Austin and Libby Geiger.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lawrence and Zoa Pickering and Lester and Lillian Wingerter.

Jack D. Miller
Sept. 12, 1921-July 7, 2003
A funeral service for Jack D. Miller, 81, of Kirkersville, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Kirkersville Chapel of Henderson, Van Atta & Johnston Funeral Service, with Pastor Lowell Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Kirkersville Cemetery.
Mr. Miller, a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy, died July 7, 2003, at Brandon Regional Hospital, Brandon, Fla. He was born Sept. 12, 1921, in Sandyville, W.Va., to the late Charles and Blanche (McLaughlin) Miller.
Mr. Miller was self-employed in equipment repair. He was a member of the Columbia Center Community Church and the American Legion in Kirkersville.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and James Landrum of Newark; sons and daughters-in-law, Joe and Selena Miller of Orlando, Fla., Brent and Amy Miller of Tampa, Fla., and Phillip and Penny Miller of Lake Mary, Fla.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several brothers and sisters; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis (Kaylor) Miller, in 1985.
