A memorial service for Mae L. Cooper, 88, of Johnstown, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Harmony Baptist Church, with Pastor Ross Hartley officiating.
Mrs. Cooper died July 18, 2003, at her residence. She was born Sept. 12, 1914, in Columbus, to the late James Clark and Leta (Shaffer) Robinson.
She is survived by her two daughters, Nancy (David) Noble of Mount Vernon, and Mary Lou (George) Davis of Johnstown; sister, Ruth Fry of Johnstown; brother, Howard (Virginia) Robinson of St. Louisville; grandchildren, Kevin (Cynthia) Noble, Linda Noble, Dale (Jody) Davis and Lora Davis; and great-grandsons, Timothy Noble and Zachary Davis.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Maurice Cooper; one brother, Donald Robinson; and one great-grandson, William David.
Friends may call from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service at the church, 7951 Harmony Church Road, Johnstown.

Dorothy Harbaugh Steinman

A funeral service for Dorothy Harbaugh Steinman, 93, of Somerset Center, will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at the Bope-Thomas Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ralph Bauserman officiating. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery.
Mrs. Steinman died July 22, 2003, at the center. She was born Jan. 20, 1910, in Washington County, to the late Elmer R. and Mary (Baker) Matthews.
Mrs. Steinman was a member of the Somerset United Methodist Church, a lifetime resident of Perry County, and a former member of New Reading Grange. She was formerly employed at Montell's Confectionary, Marshall's Grocery and the Sheridan Grill.
She is survived by her two granddaughters, Patty Johnson of Coshocton, and Pam (Ron) Klingler of Junction City; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, including Mary Lee Smith and Bonnie Bever.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Arthur (Ted) Joseph Harbaugh, who died Oct. 19, 1958, and Albert D. Steinman, who died in 1979; two sons, Charles F. Harbaugh, who died April 23, 1989, and Donald Joseph Harbaugh, who died Aug. 4, 1998; two sisters, Margaret Culp, who died in 1952, and Catherine Bryan, who died in 1989; and three brothers, Addison Matthews, who died in 1970, Floyd Matthews, who died in 1979, and Raymond Matthews, who died in 1985.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, prior to the service at the funeral home, 203 S. Columbus St., Somerset.

Justin S. 'Jud' McNulty
Feb. 4, 1917-July 22, 2003
A memorial service for Justin S. "Jud" McNulty, of Upper Arlington for more than 40 years, will be held at noon Saturday at Schoedinger Northwest Chapel, 1740 Zollinger Road, Columbus, with Father Thomas Shonebarger officiating. Inurnment will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery at a later date.
Mr. McNulty died July 22, 2003, in the Heath Care Center at Friendship Village in Dublin. He was born Feb. 4, 1917, in Terre Haute, Ind., to the late Anthony J. and Mildred (Tokoly) McNulty.
Mr. McNulty was a graduate of the Ohio State University. He retired after 40 years of service as a chemist with Battelle Memorial Institute. Following retirement he continued to work part-time as a consultant for Battelle for several years.
Mr. McNulty was a 50-year member of the American Chemical Society. He was also a musician, playing in local orchestras and combos during his active life. He particularly enjoyed playing for residents at retirement centers and nursing homes.
He is survived by his nephew, Jeff (Beth Ann) Hullinger of Dublin; great-niece, Heidi Hullinger; and brother-in-law, Lewis Hullinger of Newark.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Dorothy McNulty and Marguerite McNulty Hullinger.

Kathryn Marie Woolard

A funeral service for Kathryn Marie Woolard, 97, of Newark, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Kirkersville Cemetery.
Mrs. Woolard, a secretary at Johnson and Associates Insurance Agency of Newark, died July 23, 2003, at her residence. She was born May 15, 1906, in Licking County, to the late George Washington and J. Mae (Puffer) Woolard.
Mrs. Woolard worked at W.T. Grant Department Store, Upham Insurance Agency and Ashbrook-Upham Insurance Agency. She attended Granville High School and Newark Business College.
She is survived by her nephews, Gary (Molly) DeBevoise of Newark, Howard Johnson of Granville, Dana (Edwin) Johnson of Panama City Beach, Fla., and Kenneth (Mary Jane) Johnson of Newark; nieces, Linda and Susan Woolard of Newark, and Ruth Muska of Columbus;
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ernest; and sisters, Edna Woolard, Mary DeBevoise and Ruth Johnson.

Anna Ruth Smucker

A memorial service for Anna Ruth Smucker, 93, of Newark, will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Smucker, a resident of Newark since 1942, died July 23, 2003, at the Inn at SharonBrooke. She was born July 28, 1909, in Line Lexington, Pa., to the late Leidy and Mary (Harr) Ruth.
Mrs. Smucker was a 1930 graduate of Bluffton College and taught home economics for the Bucyrus School System until her marriage to Clayton A. Smucker.
Mrs. Smucker was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Granville and previously had been a 60-year member of the Second Presbyterian Church in Newark. She was also a member of Monday Talks, Progressive Club and Unity Reading.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William and Barbara Smucker of Rye, N.H.; daughters and sons-in-law, Margaret and John Witt of Glenview, Ill., and Mary Ann and Alex Galbraith of Granville; brother and sister-in-law, Abe and Bernice Ruth of Lititz , Pa.; sisters and brother-in-law, Susan and Roger Dorn of Perrysburg, and Dorothy Clemens of Bluffton; sister-in-law, Edna Ruth of Hughesville, Pa.; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton A. Smucker; brother, Leidy Ruth; and brother-in-law, Mel Clemens.

Mary Rose Foran

A Mass of Christian burial for Mary Rose Foran, 92, of Newark, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, with the Rev. Robert Penhallurick officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Ms. Foran, a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, died July 27, 2003, at her home in Newark. She was born Oct. 8, 1910, in Zanesville, to the late Patrick Leo and Harriet (Wolfe) Foran.
Ms. Foran worked for many years as the secretary to the superintendent at the Ohio State Reformatory in Mansfield. She retired as the business manager of the Adult Parole Authority in Columbus.
She is survived by her nieces, Patricia Kirkpatrick of Cary, N.C., Janet Kirkpatrick of Gunnee, Ill., and Judith and Ken Young of Barrington, Ill.; and nephew, Kevin James Young of Plaza del Ray, Calif.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Foran; two sisters, Betty Kirkpatrick and Ruth Foran; and many cousins.

Sally Sue Hager

A funeral service for Sally Sue Hager, 65, of Groveport, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home, with Evangelist David P. Stephens officiating. Interment will follow in Lithopolis Cemetery Mausoleum.
Mrs. Hager died July 28, 2003, at her residence. She was retired from Buckeye T.V. & Appliance, and enjoyed crafting, baking, gardening and helping others. She was also a 1956 graduate of Jacksontown High School.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald Hager; son, Brian (Shelly) Hager; sisters, Carol (Bill) Morrow, Irene L. Moore, and Mary M. Pagel; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Hildred Seymour; brother, Kenneth E. Seymour; and brother-in-law, Ralph Moore.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester.
