A Mass of Christian Burial for Virginia B. (Bauer) Evans, 93, of Newark, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Edwards Catholic Church in Granville, with Monsignor Paul Enke officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Mrs. Evans, who was a member of St. Edwards Catholic Church, died Sept. 6, 2003, at her home. She was born March 18, 1910, in Columbus, to the late Frank H. Bauer and Mary (Albright) Bauer.
Mrs. Evans graduated from East High School in Columbus. She was a founding member of TWIG II at Licking Memorial Hospital and a member of Moundbuilders Country Club. She was also a member of Monday Talks.
Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-laws, R. Daniel and Peggy Evans, Richard B. and Harriett Evans, and J. Timothy and Jan Evans, all of Newark; grandchildren, Kelly and Bob Parker, Mark and Kim Evans, Rick and Kristen Evans, Scot and Adrienne Evans, Trent and Kelley Evans, Rob and Shelley Evans, Jeff and Liza Evans and Nick and Lisa Evans; 16 great-grandchildren; and brother, William L. Bauer of Farmington, Mich.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Evans Sr., who died July 18, 2003; two brothers; and four sisters.

Bonnie Lee (Westbrook) Hobbs

A funeral service for Bonnie L. Hobbs, 58, of Heath, will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Brucker & Kishler Funeral Home, with the Rev. Charles Norris officiating.
Mrs. Hobbs, who managed the snack bar at the Park Lanes Bowling Center, died Sept. 5, 2003, at the Licking Memorial Hospital. She was born Sept. 3, 1945, in Newark, to the late Charles and Virginia (Saultz) Westbrook.
Mrs. Hobbs was a member of the Newark Eagles
She is survived by her son, Bruce V. (Dana) Edgell Jr. of Newark; daughter, Jennifer Edgell of Newark; sister, Linda (Ron) Harris of Newark; brother, Walter (Vicky) Westbrook of Nevada; and sister, Rita (Rex) Wright of Newark.
She is preceded in death by her parents.

John D. Knerr Sr.

A funeral service for John D. Knerr Sr., 73, of Martinsville, Ind., will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church of Martinsville, with the Rev. Jeff Sexton officiating. Burial will follow in Nebo Memorial Park, Martinsville, Ind.
Mr. Knerr died Sept. 6, 2003, at his residence. He was born Feb. 26, 1930, in Newark, to the late Thomas C. Knerr and Letha (Scholl) Hacker.
Mr. Knerr retired in 1989 after 32 years of service as an inspector from Ford Motor Company in Indianapolis, Ind.
He is survived by his wife, Helen (Bolin) Knerr, whom he married on Aug. 9, 1947; stepmother, Martha (Litton) Knerr of Newark; son, John D. Knerr Jr. of Martinsville, Ind.; daughters, Letha Mae Boggs of Blue Ash, Ohio, and Denise Elaine Knerr of West Chester, Ohio; half-brother, Dale Knerr of Newark; half-sisters, Carol Jean Quinn of Clarkdale, Ariz., Florence Knerr of Newark, and Elizabeth Warnock of Heath; and two grandsons, John D. Knerr III and Michael R. Knerr.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Marshall Hacker.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Costin Funeral Chapel, 539 E. Washington St., Martinsville, Ind., and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church in Martinsville, Ind. A Masonic service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Juanita M. (Reynolds) Foit

A funeral service for Juanita M. Foit, 73, of Newark, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, with the Pastor Paul Hansen officiating. Burial will take place in Wilson Cemetery.
Mrs. Foit, a flower designer for Forever Flowers, died Sept. 7, 2003, at Licking Memorial Hospital. She was born Feb. 10, 1930, in Vanatta, Ohio, to the late James and Edith (Hughes) Reynolds.
Mrs. Foit was a member of the Lutheran Church in Vanatta. She served 25 years with the Wyoming Valley Grange, and she was a member of the Newton Township Fire Department ladies auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband, Russell F. Foit Sr. of Newark; daughter, Sherry (Kevin) Mick of Newark; daughter, Linda (Thomas) Laymon of Newark; son, Chris (Janet) Foit of Pickerington; brother, Robert Reynolds of Newark; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sons, Russell Foit Jr. and Larry Foit; brothers, Daniel W. Reynolds, James R. Reynolds and Lloyd E. Reynolds.

A funeral service for Kathryn I. Jenkins, 58, of Pigeon Forge, Tenn., will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home, with the Rev. Glen Metts officiating. Interment will follow in Shiloh Cemetery.
Mrs. Jenkins died Saturday, Sept. 6, 2003. She attended First Baptist Church, Sevierville.
She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Moore; mother, Geraldeen Winegar Schoop; and brothers, Phillip and Charles Moore.
Survivors include her husband, Larry E. Jenkins; son, Brian K. Jenkins; daughter, Angela D. Jenkins, both of Newark; grandchildren, Andrew R. McKenna, Brittany N. Gates, Julieanna M. John M. Krichbaum

A funeral service for John M. Krichbaum, 66, of Frazeysburg, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home in Frazeysburg, with Minister Gus Andrews officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
Mr. Krichbaum died at 9:15 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8, 2003, at his home. He was born April 21, 1937, in Alliance, Ohio. He was the son of the late George and Grace Haas Krichbaum.
Mr. Krichbaum was a graduate of Atwater High School and The Ohio State University. He was a retired school teacher and football coach with 20 years service at Tri-Valley Schools and 10 years with Licking Valley Schools.
He began his head football coach career in 1959 at Frazeysburg High School and became the first coach at Tri-Valley High School, coaching from 1966 to 1968. In 1969 he became head coach at Licking Valley High School and continued until 1976. He was later freshman football coach at Licking Valley for six years. He continued to be on the sidelines at all Licking Valley games and was honored at the recent Licking Valley-Sheridan game.
Mr. Krichbaum also enjoyed farming.
Surviving are his wife, Billie Sue (Melton) Krichbaum, whom he married Dec. 21, 1977; four sons, Steven (Carmen) Martin of Newark, Denny Martin of Upper Arlington, Michael (Dianna) Martin of Indianapolis, Ind., and Hobbie (Maggie) Martin of Newark; one daughter, Beth Martin of Frazeysburg; two brothers, Donald (Mary) Krichbaum of Caledonia, and Daniel (Becky) Krichbaum of Mantua; two sisters, Lois Ante of Valdes, Alaska, and Beverly (Wendall) Glaab of Louisville; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Inez Rieder

A funeral service for Inez Rieder, 92 of Thornville, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Boring-Sheridan Funeral Home, Thornville, with the Rev. Robert Knox officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Ridge Cemetery.
Mrs. Rieder was born July 5, 1911, in Nelsonville, Ohio to the late Perry and Blanche (Bumgardner) Wood. She passed away Monday, Sept. 8, 2003, at Newark Healthcare Centre.
She was a loving wife, precious mother, loving grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.
Survivors include her husband of 71 years, Clarence E. Rieder; children, Dorothy (Ralph) Clark of Columbus, Perry (Audry) Rieder of Thornville, Carolyn (Paul) Clark of Newark, Rudy (Phyllis) Rieder of Newark and Shirley (Harold) Shepard of Palm Harbor, Fla.; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and brother, John (Eunice) Bumgardner of Logan.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Bernard Rieder; granddaughter, Sandy; and brothers, Herman Bumgardner, Charles Wood, William Wood, Chester Holcomb and Lester Holcomb.
