Wilma Johnson

A funeral service for Wilma Johnson, 72, of Pataskala, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Kauber-Miller Funeral Home, with Pastor Harold Place officiating. Interment will follow in Glen Rest Memorial Estate.
Wilma died at Mount Carmel East Hospital on Thursday, Sept. 18, 2003. She was born to the late Frank and Myrta Kerr on Jan. 24, 1931, in Clinchco, Va.
She is survived by her daughter, Jeanne (Scott) Kahrig of Pataskala; five brothers and sisters, Sue Valetta of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Bob (Dorothy) Kerr of Saline, Mich., Robert Earl (Madeline) Kerr and Frank (Debbie) Kerr, both of Abingdon, Va., and Joe (Barbara) Kerr of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Gene D. Johnson.

Frances E. Reinbold
Dec. 9, 1914-Sept. 16, 2003
A graveside service for Frances E. Reinbold, 88, of Biloxi, Miss., formerly of Newark, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Cedar Hill Cemetery, with Dr. Winfield Strout officiating.
Mrs. Reinbold, who worked for Licking County Schools for 32 years, died Sept. 16, 2003, at her home in Biloxi, where she has lived since 1996. She was born Dec. 9, 1914, in Licking County, to the late William and Mary (Eckard) Eisert.
Surviving are her niece, Dawn Bishop of Newark; nephew, Timothy Eisert of Warsaw; great-nieces, nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Homer P. Sharp
Sept. 29, 1939-Sept. 18, 2003
A funeral service for Homer P. Sharp, 63, of Zanesville, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Thompson-Farus Funeral Home, with Pastor Steve Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Stockport Cemetery.
Mr. Sharp, who retired from Owens Corning, died Sept. 18, 2003, at Ohio University Hospital. He was born Sept. 29, 1939, in Stockport, to the late John and Bertha Marie (Gheen) Sharp.
Mr. Sharp also worked for Michael Scott Builders, and was a member of Cornerstone Full Gospel Church.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte (Snowed) Sharp, whom he married on April 16, 1977; son, Brian Sharp of Zanesville; daughters, Joedy (Tom) Pilch of Pittsburgh, Pa., Kris (Steve) Johnson of Dresden, Angelina Velez of Zanesville, Christy (Dan) Marple of Zanesville, and Teresa (Tom) Licthner of Zanesville; sisters, Lucille Wymer of Columbus, and Freda Addis of Homer; brothers, Donald (Connie) Sharp of Newark, and Carl (Linda) Sharp; 15 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Fredie Sharp.

Richard C. McNabb
Sept. 10,1930-Sept. 18, 2003
Funeral services for Richard C. McNabb, 73, of Thornville will be held at the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 10:30 a.m Tuesday with Rev. Dean Robert Penhallurick officiating, and Rev. Jon Cook assisting.
Dick died Thursday, September 18, 2003, in Riverside Hospital. He was born September 10, 1930, in Newark, Ohio, to the late Stanley and Mildred (Henderson) McNabb.
Dick attended the United Methodist Church of Thornville. He worked for many years at Goldbond Building Products, formerly known as Tectum.
Dick served in the US Marine Corp. during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Marine Corp League, and AMVETS.
Dick is survived by his wife of 50 years, Phyllis (Hannan) McNabb, of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael E. and Tina McNabb of Chesterfield, Indiana, and Scott and Beth McNabb of Lorain, Ohio; five grandchildren, Jason McNabb, Trista M. McNabb, Michael S. McNabb, Ashley J. Clark, and Donny R. Steger; four great-grandchildren, Timothy B. McNabb, Hailey L. McNabb, Zoey G. McNabb and Adrianna N. (Foutch) McNabb; his sister and brother-in-law, Jean and James L.Williams of Cleveland, Ohio; and many, many, nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Reed-Egan Funeral Home, 141 N. Green Wave Drive, Newark, OH, from 5 to 9 p.m., Monday, September 22, 2003.

Richard "Dick" Larsen
Dec. 6, 1941 - Sept. 20, 2003
A celebration of life of Richard "Dick" Larsen, 61, of Newark, will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, with the Pastor Jeff Pound officiating.
Mr. Larsen, who retired from the Newark Air Force Base after 32 years of service as an Audio Visual Manager, died Sept. 20, 2003, at the OSU James Cancer Institute. He was born Dec. 6, 1941, in Plainfield Ill., to the late Richard Harold and Grace (Jorgensen) Larsen.
Mr. Larsen was recently employed with the Ross family at the Granville IGA. He was a member of the Spring Hills Baptist Church, he enjoyed building guns, competition match target shooting, woodworking, hunting and fishing and he loved the outdoors.
He is survived by his three children, Donna (Tim) Wilson of Hebron, Cheryl (Mike) Lohrman of Hebron, and Richard Harold II (Heather) Larsen of Buckeye Lake; 12 grandchildren, Misti, Tristan, Amanda, Billy Joe, Mychael, Wesley, Zachary, Jacob, Tanner, Chance, Alexa, and Lance; sisters, Lucy (Edward) O'Donnell of Diamond Bar, Calif., and Dorothy (Bob) Fisher of Michigan City, Ind.; one brother, Robert (Carol) Larsen of Shorewood, Ill.; and three special friends Art Clary of Newark, Frank Ferguson of Dayton, and Dale Grove of Newark.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Shirley (Patton) Larsen, who died May 24, 2003.
Mr. Larsen was a four-year Navy Veteran.

Ronald E. Ables
Nov. 18, 1948-Sept. 12, 2003
Ronald Eugene Ables, 54, of Sanford, Fla., died Sept. 12, 2003, after a battle with cancer. He was born in Newark in 1948 to mother Josephine (Hickman) Ables and his father, the late Everett E. Ables.
Ron was a graduate of Granville High School. After graduation from high school, Ron immediately joined the Marines and served his country in Vietnam. Upon his return from the military service, Ron obtained a degree from Columbus Technical Institute in dental technology. Ron also attended Franklin University in business administration.
A specialist in dental ceramics, Ron went on to found several dental laboratories in the Columbus, Ohio area. He moved his successful practice to Florida, where he continued in dental ceramic research. After selling his private practice, Ronald Ables became a senior field technical specialist for the North American Division of Ivoclar Vivadent, an international leader in dental ceramic technology.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Danica (Gledich) Ables of their home in Sanford, Fla.; his mother, Josephine Ables of Buckeye Lake; sisters, Barbara Jo (Frank) Gadd of Byesville, Saundra Kay (Warren) Allen of Buckeye Lake, and Dorothy (James) Ferguson of Johnstown; brother, William Ross of Mount Sterling; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his twin, Donald (in infancy); his sister, Beverly (Robert) Studer of Columbus; and his father, Everett E. Ables of Buckeye Lake.
He was admired and loved by friends and family. He was taken too soon. He will be greatly missed.

Harold R. Hunter
March 20, 1920-Sept. 18, 2003
A funeral service for Harold R. Hunter, 83, of Utica, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Owl Creek Baptist Church, 4044 Owl Creek Road, with Rev. Robert E. Heizer and Alan Pratt officiating. Internment will be in Owl Creek Cemetery.
Mr. Hunter, a retired farmer, died Sept. 18, 2003, at Knox Community Hospital in Mt. Vernon. He was born March 20, 1920, in Licking County to the late John Pritchard Hunter and Cleora (Wright) Hunter.
He was a member of Owl Creek Baptist Church, where he was a deacon and Sunday school superintendent. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II in Europe with the 8th Air Force, was a former Morgan Township trustee, a former member of the National Farmer's Organization, a 50-year member of the Morgan Grange and a member of the American Legion Post No. 92 in Utica.
Mr. Hunter is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Paul R. Hunter, of Utica, and Dennis and Irvalee Hunter of Nashport; one daughter and son-in-law, Jo Ella and Wayne Roe of Troy; one brother, Dwight Hunter of Delaware; one sister, Mary Rhodeback of Newark; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Hunter was preceded in death by his wife, Erma Pauline (Wagner) Hunter; two brothers, Harry and Willard Hunter; six sisters, Louise Turner, Esther Dunlap, Beatrice Frost, Helen Jean Hunter, Mabel White and Alice Neighbarger.

Mildred (Hollingshead) Foy

A funeral service for Mildred (Hollingshead)Foy, 91, of Newark, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Brucker & Kishler funeral Home, with Don Allen Evangelist officiating. A Private burial will be held at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Roseville following the service.
She passed away on Sept. 20, 2003 at her residence. Mildred was born April 12, 1912 in Wellston to the late Lawson and Pluma Alice (Cheatwood) Hollingshead.
She retired as a laboratory assistant at the Bethesda Hospital in Zanesville. She also was a member of the Newark Church of Christ.
She is survived by her daughters Marjorie L. Stanbery of Hanover, Nevada L. Ervin of North Carolina; her son David L. Foy of Marietta G.A.; 18 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husdand Ralph, her son Robert L. and one grandchild Robin, and 14 brothers and sisters.
