A funeral service for Eloise F. Hankins, 77, of Newark, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Phillips Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jim Lee Cremeans officiating. Burial will follow in Sugar Creek Cemetery.
Eloise died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003, at Licking Memorial Hospital. She was born in Monroe, Ohio, raised in Ironton and has been a Newark resident since 1984.
Eloise was a homemaker and attended Waterloo Schools.
She is survived by one daughter, Janet (Lawrence) Keating of Newark; granddaughters, Kristina (Burton) Cornwell and Kimberly Keating of Newark; great-grandchildren, Brooke, Celeste and Tyler; and two sisters, Audrey Gaskins of Ironton, and Linda (Henry) Willis of Hecla.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lula Turner Aldridge; father, Van Aldridge; and sisters, Virgie Grout, Marie Riggsby and Lenora Rice.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, 1004 S. Seventh St., Ironton.

Patricia Sue Young
Jan. 21, 1933-Sept. 27, 2003
A funeral service for Patricia Sue Young, 70, of Heath, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, with a memorial service for Edward S. Young to follow at the Boring-Sheridan Funeral Home, Thornville Chapel, with the Rev. James Young and Pastor David Wasser officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Perry Cemetery for Patricia. A graveside military service for Edward will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Young passed away on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003, at Arlington Nursing Home in Heath. She was born Jan. 21, 1933, in Mount Perry, to the late Clarence L. and Ivus L. (Boring) Axline.
She was a bookkeeper for Kaiser for 10 years and Rite Rug for five years.
Survivors include her children, Steven (Nadine Y.) Young of Gahanna, and Lisa Sue Young of Blacklick; grandson, Preston Young and stepgranddaughter, Elisha (Mark) Smith; sister, Mary C. Ellis of Florida; brother, Edward A. (Carol L.) Axline of Newark; and sister-in-law, Mary Jones of Newark.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Edward S. Young, who passed away Sept. 26, 2003; sister, Lucille Gordon; and brother, Kennley Alden Axline.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, and 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Boring-Sheridan Funeral Home, Thornville Chapel.
George Allen Davis
Sept. 22, 1951-Sept. 28, 2003
A memorial service for George Allen Davis, 52, of Baker Road, St. Louisville, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Rocky Fork Church of Christ, Techniglass Road, Newark (Hickman community), with Minister Brian Priest officiating.
Mr. Davis died Sept. 28, 2003, at home after an extended illness. He was born Sept. 22, 1951, to the late Guy R. and Columbia Butcher Davis.
Mr. Davis was an Air Force veteran having served during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Rocky Fork Church of Christ.
Mr. Davis retired from Licking Rural Electrification in December 2001 after 33 years of service.
Surviving are his wife of 32 years, Jacalyn Davis; three sons, Justin S. (Kim) Davis of Grayson, Ky., James A. Davis and Jack R. Davis of the home; four sisters, Lorraine Davis of Weston, W.Va., Sammie (Jerry) Mitchell of Buckhannon, W.Va., Libby Davis of Jay, Okla., and Dorene (Jason) Williams of Weston, W.Va.; brother, Ed (Lydia) Davis of Pikeville, N.C.; 20 nieces; 12 nephews; father and mother-in-law, Jack and Emelyn Eakin; brothers-in-law, William (Brigid) Eakin, John (Pam) Eakin, David (Debbie) Eakin and Mark (Diana) Eakin; and many friends.
Elsie Bays Sellards
Sept. 29, 2003
A funeral service for Elsie Bays Sellards, 84, of Bladensburg, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Schoedinger East Chapel, with Pastor Edward Adkins officiating. Interment will follow in Glen Rest Memorial Estate.
God gave Elsie to us on Christmas Day and chose to take her home on Monday, Sept. 29, 2003. She was blessed with a very loving family and friends, whose lives have been touched by knowing her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenny Sellards; parents, Sally and Kennel Bays; sisters, Carmie Collins and Malta Cole; and brothers, Jackie, Lee, Martin and Marvin Bays.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Perry Gibson (John) of Bladensburg; stepdaughter, Ella McComas (Buster) of West Virginia; grandchildren, Charles Raymond Perry (Dee) of Columbus, Marie Perry Marcum of Columbus, Betty Adkins of Alabama, Lisa Ellis of West Virginia, and Roger McComas of Kentucky; great-grandchildren, Lisa Hanning, Angel Blair, Nick Perry, George Marcum III, and Jarrod Perry; 14 great-great-grandchildren, including Timothy Perry who lives at her home; and many many loving nieces and nephews.
Elsie will be sadly missed by all.

Edward Steven Young

A military graveside service for Edward Steven Young, 75, of Heath, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Cedar Hill Cemetery, with James Young and David Waser officiating.
Mr. Young died Sept. 26, 2003, at Licking Memorial Hospital. He was born June 9, 1928, in Newark, to the late Daniel Banford and Grace Adell (Brown)Young.
Mr. Young worked as a comptroller in manufacturing at Reynolds Aluminum. He was a World War II Army veteran, and a graduate of Franklin University.
He is survived by a son, Steven (Nadine) Young of Gahanna; daughter, Lisa Young of Blacklick; grandson, Preston Young of Powell; sister, Mary Jones of Newark; one stepgranddaughter, Elisha Smith of Lancaster; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Sue (Axline) Young; his parents; sister, Gladys Daubenmire; and brothers, Robert, Daniel, James "Bill" and David Young.
In lieu of flowers, family requests a donation of stuffed animals.

Marie M. Keller

A funeral service for Marie M. Keller, 82, of Hebron, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Heath Church of Christ, with Dave Mason and Ray Linn officiating. Burial will follow in Kirkersville Cemetery.
Mrs. Keller, who was a member of the Heath Church of Christ, died Oct. 1, 2003, at her home. She was born Nov. 30, 1920, in Columbus, to the late Carl D. and Margaret (Kellett) Heil.
Mrs. Keller graduated from South High School in 1940. She owned Curly Lock's Beauty Shop in the early 1940s and was a former owner of Keller's I-70 Motel.
Mrs. Keller also had a special interest in antiques, flowers and caring for homeless animals.
Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Donna Coe Eves of Pickerington and Robert Eves of Columbus, and Sharon and Sam Burgess of Hebron; grandson, David Coe of Pickerington; sisters, Eleanor Hugoniot of Reynoldsburg, and Helen Maxwell of Reynoldsburg; brother, Dan (Martha) Heil of Sunbury; and special friends, Annabelle and Richard Reelhorn, Doris Dusthimer, and Beth Hawley, who became Marie's guardian angel at her time of need until Marie was called home.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Donald E. Keller, who died Dec. 4, 2000.

Gene Cassius Wheatley

A funeral service for Gene C. Wheatley, 71, of Zanesville, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, with the Rev. Robert Davidson officiating. Burial will follow in Newark Memorial Gardens with a military service.
Mr. Wheatley died Oct. 1, 2003, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville. She was born Oct. 15, 1931, in Zanesville, to the late John and Frances W. (Crum) Wheatley.
Mr. Wheatley worked as a slitter operator at Continental Can. He was a member of Grace Community Church in Zanesville, member of the Heath Fire Department for 20 years, and was a cook for four years at the 4-H Camp. He served in the Army between 1950-1968, and also served 12 years in the National Guard.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine (Kent) Wheatley of Zanesville; sons, Daniel E. (Kim) Wheatley of Newport Ritchey, Fla., and James D. Wheatley of Newark; daughter, Susan A. (Glenn) Heck of Zanesville; stepchildren, David (Gina) Kent and Keith (Elena) Kent of Zanesville; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Laura (Bill) Davy of Brownsville, and Gladys (Dan) Lovell of Heath; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn (Black) Wheatley; a daughter, Mary; two stepchildren, Kevin and Karl; one sister, Eleanor; and his parents.
