Timothy James Gordon I

A funeral service for Timothy James Gordon I, 46, of Lake Wales, Fla., will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Heath Chapel of Henderson, Van Atta & Johnston Funeral Service. Burial will follow in Wilson Cemetery.
Mr. Gordon, who was born March 13, 1957, died Oct. 2, 2003, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in Florida. He was born in Lancaster, Ohio, to George Gordon and Alice (Burton) Gordon of Hebron.
He worked as a concrete finisher and heavy-equipment operator.
He enjoyed fishing, riding his Harley, NASCAR, the Cleveland Browns and the beach. But, most importantly, he loved his family.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by companion and best friend, Naomi Rose; sons and daughters-in-law, Timothy J. II and Tonya Gordon of Newark, Christopher George Gordon of Newark, Nicholas Gordon and Cheryl Loughman of Newark; daughters, Shana Gordon of Thornville, and Sarah Gordon of Akron; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary and Maggie Gordon of Hebron, Joel and Kim Gordon of Glenford, and Daniel and Ginger of Glenford; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Lou and Gary Gant of Hebron; and grandchildren, Klayton, Kayla, Trai and Bryan.
He was preceded in death by his son, Adam Inlow, and a brother, George Gordon Jr.

A funeral service for Bruce A. Goldman, 35, of Thornville, Ohio, will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Kirkersville Chapel of Henderson, Van Atta & Johnston Funeral Service with Rev. Bruce Beavers officiating.
Mr. Goldman, a 1986 graduate of Franklin Heights High School, died Oct. 2, 2003, at Fairfield Medical Center. He was born Sept. 5, 1968, in Galion, Ohio.
He worked for Excavating Unlimited, Inc., in Westerville, Ohio. He loved riding his Harley and playing his guitar and he was a member of Moose Lodge No. 2434 in Thornville.
Surviving are his wife, Lisa (Murdoch) Goldman; daughter, Crystal Leigh Goldman, of the home; father and stepmother, Lloyd and Pam Goldman, of Thornville; mother, Eliza Goldman, of Thornville; brother, Jason Goldman and his girlfriend, Jennifer Cordray of New Reading, Ohio; paternal grandmother, Nettie Goldman of Thornville; stepbrother, Billy and Angie Willis of Lancaster; many nieces and nephews.

Flora Jane Casebolt

A funeral service for Flora Jane Casebolt, 93, of Newark, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Chapel, with Pastor David Kemper officiating. A special Tuesday evening service will be held at 8 p.m., with Pastor Jerry Owens officiating
Mrs. Casebolt died on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2003, at Licking Memorial Hospital. She was born in Virgie, Ky., on Feb. 10, 1910, to the late Duran and Frankie (Tackett) Anderson.
Mrs.. Casebolt was an homemaker and attended the Little Angel Church of Old Regular Baptist and was a avid gardner.
Survivors include her children, Gutherie Jones of Frazeysburg, Mary Lou Klrin of Louisville, Ky., Jimmy Casebolt of Newark, Priscilla Sue Stewart of Columbus, Patricia Ann Mathys of Wilmore, Ky., Gary Casebolt of Norton, Va., and Larry Casebolt of Columbus; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Cleo Prater of Beaverton, Mich., Hazel Greer of Taylor, Mich., and Sybil Little of Virgie, Ky.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arnold Casebolt in 1980; son, Jack Casebolt; one brother; and seven sisters.

Clarence O. Smith Jr.

There will be no public service for Clarence O. Smith Jr., 80, of Zanesville, formerly of North Trend Drive. Burial will be held at Mount Olive Cemetery in Zanesville at a later time.
Mr. Smith died at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, 2003, at Willow Haven Nursing Home in Zanesville, following a long illness. He was born on Tuesday, Jan. 23, 1923, in Woodsfield, Ohio, the son of Clarence "Otto" Sr. and Clara (Burkhart) Smith.
He was married to Kathaleen J. (Nelson) Smith on Nov. 26, 1949. He was owner and operator of Smith's Monuments. He was an Army veteran of World War II, having served as a T5 with the military police.
He is survived by his wife of Zanesville; two daughters, Barbara E. Bean of Naples, Fla., and Cheryl (Dean) Sharrer of Henderson, Nev.; one son, David N. Smith of Atlanta, Ga.; nine grandchildren, Michelle, Michael, Jenny, Sarah and Joey Bean, Lindsey and Alex Smith, and Meagan and Taylor Sharrer; two sisters, Mary (Francis) Summers of Zanesville, and Joanne (Charles) Hohman of Granville; three brothers, Lloyd H. (Marguerite) Smith and Ralph G. (Agnes) Smith, both of Zanesville, and the Rev. James T. Smith of Columbus.
He was preceded in death in addition to his parents by one sister, Dorothy Albritain; three brothers, Harold Jack Smith, Charles R. Smith and Edward Smith.

A graveside service for M. Josephine Bibler 90, of Newark, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Cedar Hill Cemetery, with Elders Jack Allen and John Krum officiating.
Mrs. Bibler died Oct. 2, 2003, at the Arlington Nursing Home in Newark. She was born Jan. 1, 1913, in Newark, to the late Karl and Edith (Albright) Baugher.
Mrs. Bibler was a member of Harmony Primitive Baptist Church, a graduate of Newark High School in 1932, and worked for Dale Warner insurance and Wallace Insurance as a secretary.
She is survived by her son, James William (Monnie) Bibler of Thonotosasso, Fla.; a daughter, Barbara J. Bibler of Newark; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dalton Bibler; a brother, Karl; and a grandson, Jeff.

Pauline M. King

A funeral service for Pauline M. King, 89, of Dresden, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home in Dresden. Burial will follow in Dresden Cemetery.
Mrs. King at died Oct. 4, 2003. She was a member of the Dresden United Methodist Church and a 47-year member and past president of American Legion Post 399 Auxiliary.
Surviving are her children, Lawrence "Gene" (Betty) King of Crimora, Va., Donna Freshwater and Kathleen "Kay" (Harold) Hall of Dresden; her brother, James (Dorothy) Lynn of Dresden; her sister, Erma Meredith of Dresden; 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Donald King; two bothers; and one granddaughter.

Lafayette 'Merrill' Beaver

A funeral service for Lafayette Merrill Beaver, 85, of Johnstown, will be held at noon Tuesday at the Crouse-Kauber-Sammons Funeral Home, with Pastor Michael Rector officiating. Internment will follow in Kirkersville Cemetery.
Merrill passed away at Newark Health Care on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2003. He was born to the late Jacob and Loia (Greenwood) Beaver on Jan. 13, 1918, in Jersey Township.
Mr. Beaver was a member of the Kirkersville Baptist Church. He retired from the Defense Construction Supply Center where he was a crane operator for 33 1/2 years and served in the Navy during World War II.
He is survived by his two sons Roger (Sharon) Beaver of Granville, and Terry (Karen) Beaver of Newark; five grandchildren, Rhonda (Jay) Casto of Hebron, Tammy (Andy) Montell of Pickerington, Brian (Debi) Beaver of St. Louisville, Trisha (Tim) Ware of Utica, and Michael Beaver of Westerville; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Louise, whom he married on July 15, 1939; one son, Ronnie D. Beaver; two brothers; and two sisters.
