Gladys Nease

A graveside service for Gladys Nease, 92, of Fremont, Mich., formerly of Newark, will be held at 5 p.m. Friday at Welsh Hills Cemetery in Granville, with the Rev. Robert L. Knox officiating.
Mrs. Nease died Sept. 13, 2003, in Fremont. She was born June 26, 1911, in Mariba, Ky., to the late Strib and Mollie (White) Simpkins.
Surviving are her sons and daughter-in-law, Harold and Glenda Nease of Newark, and Woodrow Nease of Franklin; daughters and sons-in-law, Vernita and Virgil Jarnagin of Ravenna, Mich., and Pearl and James Haney of Hamilton; many grandchildren, including Brian Nease and Craig Nease, both of Newark; and many great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Buford J. Nease, who died Dec. 4, 1988; and one son, Marvin Conway.
The McPeek Funeral Home in Granville is in charge of arrangements.
Robyn Keller

A funeral service for Robyn Keller, 32, of Hebron, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Newark Baptist Temple, with Pastor Terry Biggs officiating. Burial will follow in Millersport Cemetery.
Robyn died Oct. 6, 2003, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Ohio 79 in Heath. She was born July 2, 1971, in Newark, to the late Roderick A. Mosholder and Carol M. Dymek.
Robyn was a mother and a homemaker. She was a graduate of Licking County Christian Academy. She attended the Grace Baptist Church and was active in the ministry of music in various churches. She was also very athletic and was an OHSAA volleyball referee in the Newark area.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Nelson Keller Jr.; children, Whitney Nicole Keller and Mackenzie Marie Keller; stepfather, Mark Dymek of Buckeye Lake; brothers, Richard (Cathy) Mosholder of Fallsburg, and Robert (Shante) Mosholder of Buckeye Lake; uncle, Donald (Doris) Braunbeck of Kansas; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Nelson and Mary Keller Sr.; grandmothers, Anna Miller and Olveta Keller; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Herbert and Eva Braunbeck; and paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Mary Elizabeth Mosholder.

Violet L. Hannum

A funeral service for Violet L. Hannum, 77, of Newark, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Newark Chapel of Henderson, Van Atta & Johnston Funeral Service, with the Rev. Tom Myers officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Hannum, who retired in 1988 from Howard Johnson's where she had been a restaurant cook, died Oct. 7, 2003, at her residence. She was born Jan. 29, 1926, in Homer, to the late Esty Lee and Annie Blanche (Schumaker) Lanum.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Ralph E. Jr. and Kate Hannum of Granville; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda Sue and Robert Beck of Newark, Sandra Lynn and Kenny Simpson of Newark, and Deborah Kay Harvey of Reading, Pa.; grandchildren, Sherry (Joseph) Barnett of Newark, Zonald (Tammy) Martin of Newark, Nicholas Hannum of Granville, Alex Hannum of Granville, and Crystal Simpson of Newark; great-grandchildren, Robert Gemeinhardt of Pittsburgh, Pa., Ashley Barnett and Joey Barnett of Newark; and sister, Virgie Brown of Lebanon.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph E. Hannum Sr., on July 25, 1995; by two daughters; a sister; and a brother.

John R. Eckelberry Sr.

A funeral service for John Robert Eckelberry, 63, formerly of Hebron and the Cambridge area, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Bundy-Law Funeral Home. Burial will be in Northwood Cemetery, where military graveside services will be conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council.
Mr. Eckelberry died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2003, in the Heath Nursing Care Center. He was born Aug. 26, 1940, in Byesville, the son of Homer Eckelberry of Cambridge and the late Mabel (King) Eckelberry.
Mr. Eckelberry was a Protestant by faith, a truck driver for Ryder Temperature Control Carriage of Newark, a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and The Teamsters Union Local 637 of Zanesville.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mabel (King) Eckelberry.
He is survived by his father, Homer Eckelberry of Cambridge; two sons, Tony Eckelberry of Buckeye Lake, and John Eckelberry of Buckeye Lake; five sisters, Neva Wolfrom of Cambridge, Pauline Sarchet of Cambridge, Donna Riley of Cambridge, Linda Clark of Byesville, and Diane Loy of Cambridge; two brothers, Roy Eckelberry of Canton, and Jack Eckelberry of Vienna, Mo.; and three grandchildren, Sonja Marie Eckelberry, Miranda Nichole Eckelberry and Robert Eckelberry III.

Mr. Miller, a residential real estate appraiser, who also retired after 25 years from AT&T, died Oct. 7, 2003, at his residence. He was born July 1, 1942, in Bucyrus, to the late Charles and Betty (Gerhart) Miller.
Mr. Miller enjoyed cars, sports, and politics.
He is survived by his wife, Linda (Pfeffer) Miller; stepfather Jack Tompkins of Bellevue; daughter, Casandra Hayes; and granddaughter, Elizabeth Hayes, both of Pennsylvania; mother-in-law, Dorothy Pfeffer; and brother-in-law, John W. Pfeffer, both of Newark; and dear friends, Tommy and Diana Stankiwicz, William H. Kisch, and Paul and Karan Tanenbaum.

Walter W. Estep

A funeral service for Walter W. Estep, 77, of Newark, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tom Myers officiating. Burial will take place in Spring Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Estep, a factory worker for Owens Corning Fiberglas for 32 years, passed away Oct. 8, 2003, at his residence. He was born on Dec. 30, 1925, in Portsmouth, to the late John Wallace and Goldie (Cantrell) Estep.
Mr. Estep is survived by his son, W. Cline (Brenda) Estep, of Newark; three stepdaughters, Sandy Geiger, of Newark, Nita Baumgartner, of Newark, and Linda (Noel) Rucker, of Findlay; sister, Jean Adkins, of Allen, Ky.; 15 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.
Walter is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lena (Morrison) Estep, who passed away in 2002; stepson, Terry Huntsman, who passed away in 1993; along with two sisters and two brothers.
Walter will always be remembered for his love of fishing, hunting and playing with his precious grandchildren.
