A funeral service for Ellen J. Boso, 78, of Pataskala, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Kauber-Miller Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tom Myers officiating. Interment will follow in Pataskala Cemetery.
Ellen died on Oct. 12, 2003.

Herman R. Howard
Feb. 21, 1913-Oct. 13, 2003
A funeral service for Herman R. Howard, 90, of Cedar Hill Apartments, formerly of Frazeysburg, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, Frazeysburg, with the Rev. Larry Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
Mr. Howard died Monday evening, Oct. 13, 2003, at his home. He was born Feb. 21, 1913, in Chandlersville, Ohio. He was the son of the late Joseph C. and Eura J. (Caerins) Howard.
Mr. Howard retired in 1978 from Tri-Valley Schools, where he had been a janitor at Nashport Elementary and a school bus driver for 27 years. Prior to his employment at the schools, he had been a farmer for many years. He was a member of Nashport United Methodist Church and the Faith Sunday School Class. He was also a 50-year member of Nashport Grange and served as the Grange treasurer for many years and was currently a member of Richvale Grange.
Mr. Howard was an avid coon hunter and was a former member of the Muskingum County Coon Hunters Association. He enjoyed playing cards and was a member of the Frazeysburg Monday Afternoon Card Club.
Surviving is his wife of 70 years, Mildred L. (Horrall) Howard, whom he married Aug. 30, 1933; two sons, Gerald R. "Red" (Marilyn) Howard of Frazeysburg, and Harvey L. (Janice) Howard of Troy; five grandchildren, Tim Howard of Huber Heights, Pam (Mike) Davis of Zanesville, Stephanie (Mark) Miller and Gregory Howard, both of Canton, and Christopher Howard of Columbus; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two infant sons, Ronald and Donald Howard; one brother, Harry Howard; two sisters, Gladys Robison and Lucy Tom; a grandchild, Corey Howard; and one great-grandchild.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, 110 Third St., Frazeysburg.

Bernadine Elizabeth 'Bunny' Richardson

Bernadine Elizabeth "Bunny" Richardson, 85, of Buena Vida Retirement Home, Naples, Fla., passed away Sunday, Oct. 12, 2003, at Hospice of Naples. Bunny was born in Springville, Iowa, on May 5, 1918, the only child of Charles and Florence (Smith) Sterner.
Bunny is predeceased by her loving husband, Lyle, former Naples city councilmen. They had a home and many wonderful friends in Naples for over 20 years. Bunny was a devoted wife for 53 years, always enthusiastic and supportive of Lyle's professional and political career as well as his love of golf.
Bunny was a founding member of Twig 8, a hospital service group that created and was responsible for the gift shop at Newark Hospital in Newark. She also planned the gift shop for the Licking County Memorial Hospital, and was recognized for her years of outstanding volunteer service. She was the charter president of the Jaycee-Ettes of Newark.
The family remembers Bunny as an avid gardener who had wonderful gardens wherever she lived. Her Royal Harbor, Naples lanai was lined with beautiful orchids.
Bunny leaves behind her three children, Jim of Naples, Lyle Jr. (Amy) of Englewood, and Susan McHale (Jim) of Leominster, Mass. She will be missed by her six grandchildren, Mark Rigley of Colorado, Steven Rigley of Massachusetts, Dana and Marcie Richardson of Ohio, Betsy Wegeman (Chad) and Michael Richardson (Paula) of Florida; and her three great-grandchildren, Devin, Thomas and Makenna; a sister-in-law, Jean Rice of California; and by Sally Richardson of Naples.

A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
Adrian Winsor Rose
Sept. 21, 1911-Sept. 30, 2003
A memorial service for Adrian Winsor Rose, 92, a resident of Granville until May of 2002, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church of Salida, Colo.
Adrian passed away on Sept. 30, 2003, in Poncha Springs, Colo. He was born in Red Bank, N.J., on Sept. 21, 1911, and was raised on the family farm and tree nursery as one of 12 children.
He was married to Dagmar M. Johnson on May 5, 1938, in New York City, by a Swedish Lutheran pastor. They raised their family of three children in Monmouth Beach, N.J., where Mr. Rose was employed in a variety of positions during his working years, with the greater portion spent working for the Jersey Central Railroad and in several sales positions. In retirement, he and his wife lived in Granville, Pueblo, Colo., and Florida.
Mr. Rose is survived by his daughter, Christine Richardson, her husband, Wilbur, Christine's three children, Lisa Monro-Cline, Megan (Eric) Golla, and Peter Monro; daughter, Audrey Ebner, her husband, Chet, their sons, Mark (Kris), Jeffrey, David, Seth, Jeremy and Joshua; his son, Stephen; nine great-grandchildren; and one sister, Elva Wolcott.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; sisters, Grace and Vera; and brothers, Vernon, Elmer, Wilford, Elton, Nelson, Melvin, Raymond and Theodore.
Mr. Rose was a Christian, a man of integrity with a great sense of humor who enjoyed reading, music, good food, the outdoors, and, most of all, his family. While living in Granville, he loved to walk around town and sit on the benches and chat with his friends and acquaintances.
Thelma Lee (Gert) Revercomb

A funeral service for Thelma Lee Revercomb, 60, of Alexandria, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Alexandria Baptist Church, 94 W. Main St., Alexandria, with the Rev. J. Alvin Mosher and the Rev. Larry Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Alexandria.
Ms. Revercomb died Oct. 14, 2003, in her home. She was born July 24, 1943, in Newark, to the late Ralph and Hazel (Deenis) Revercomb.
She retired as postmaster of Alexandria in 1998, and was a lifelong member of the Alexandria Baptist Church.
She is survived by her "special family," Jim and Judy Coss, Bryan Coss, Stacy, Todd, Alison and Alexander Bash, all of Alexandria, and Jennifer and Matthew Wittman of Westerville; lifelong friends, Kay Heidtman and Nancy Crist, Juanita Pheneger and Barb Edge; many friends and several cousins.

Ronald W. Wright Sr.

A funeral service for Ronald W. Wright Sr., 54, of Utica, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Law-Baker Funeral Home, with Alan Pratt officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Rest Memorial Estate.
Mr. Wright died Oct. 13, 2003, at Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon. He was born Aug. 4, 1949, in Lancaster, to Ethel M. (Moore) Wright and the late Charles R. Wright.
He is survived by his wife, Susan L. (Allen) Wright of Utica; son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Allison Wright Jr. of Ozark, Mo.; daughter and son-in-law, Taunya and Paul Palumbo of Utica; mother, Ethel M. Wright of Lancaster; six grandchildren; and three stepgrandchildren.

Norman E. Chalfant

A funeral service for Norman E. Chalfant, 73, of 475 S. Pleasant Grove Circle, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, with Minister Ray Russell officiating. Burial will be in Mount Perry Cemetery.
Norman went to be with his Lord and Savior at 7:40 p.m. Monday, Oct. 13, 2003, at his residence surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born Oct. 17, 1929, in Marion.
He was a member of the American Legion and a veteran of the U.S. Army, Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Spicer Chalfant of 56 years; five daughters, Cheryl Woods, Beverly Bishop, Patti Morrison and Norma Chalfant, all of Zanesville, and Candice (Dale) Ciufo of Georgia; a sister, Bonnie Wills of Hanover; 18 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Richard Martin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Zada Forgrave Chalfant; sons, Walter (Eddie) and Ronnie Chalfant; sisters, Thelma Dupler and Barbara Kay Chalfant; and a son-in-law, Robert Woods.

Patricia 'Pat' Ickes

A funeral service for Patricia "Pat" Ickes, 56, of Buckeye Lake, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Boring-Sheridan Funeral Home, Hebron Chapel, with Pastor Tony Bartlette officiating. Burial will follow at Barnes Cemetery at Wilkins Corner.
Pat passed away Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2003, at Licking Memorial Hospital. She was born Jan. 9, 1947.
She was a 1965 graduate of Licking Valley High School, attended Cherry Valley Life Center of Newark and was a customer service manager for Wal-Mart in Heath.
Survivors include her husband Larry E. Ickes; parents, Leslie E. and Ethel M. (Geer) Wolfe of St. Louisville; children, Lisa E. (Mathias G.) Orndorf of Mount Vernon, and Bernard E. "Gene" (Tisha L.) Maharg II of Gambier; stepchildren, Carol S. Dondrea of Thornville, Linda K. (Otis) Simmons of Canal Winchester, Garry L. (Judi K.) Ickes and Jerry D. (Rosie M.) Ickes of Thornvillle; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Vicki L. (Brett) Mowrey of St. Louisville; brothers, Charles R. (Patricia A.) Wolfe of Susquehanna, Pa., and Leslie I. (Betty L.) Wolfe of Newark; many nieces and nephews; and special pets, Yorkies Brutus and Buckeye.
