Beatrice F. Thornton Curtis, 85, Lancaster, died Tuesday, Nov. 28 at Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster.
Born May 18, 1915, daughter of the late Carl Thornton and Mary Jane Starrett, she was married
to Richard Curtis, who survives.
A retired assembler from R.B.M. Corp., she was a member of Lancaster Church of the United Brethren in Christ.
Also surviving are four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, including Bob and Ruth Holcomb and Margaret Evans.
She also was preceded in death by a son, Walter "Junior" Boyer; three sisters; and a brother.
Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Friday at Sheridan Funeral Home, 222 S. Columbus St., Lancaster, with Pastor Henry Cadwell officiating.
Cremation will follow.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 Thursday at the funeral home.
GLORIA M. HARDMAN
Gloria M. Hardman, 76, Logan, died Monday, Nov. 27 at Logan Health Care Center.
Born Dec. 25, 1923, Dayton, daughter of the late Charles and Alice Whitcomb Jones, she was the widow of Thomas P. Hardman, who died Oct. 31, 1987.
She was a secretary for FMC Corp. of Columbus.
Surviving are a daughter, Sandra Jean Patterson; and sister-in-law, Eleanor Kornmiller of Logan.
She also was preceded in death by a brother, Leroy Cooley.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Mt. Olive cemetery.

GARY LEE KANE SR.
Gary Lee Kane Sr., 55, Laurelville, died Monday, Nov. 27 at his residence.
Born June 16, 1945, Lancaster, he was the son of John and Gleneth Smith Kane of Pleasantville.
An Air Force veteran and Tech. Sgt. with the 121st Refueling Wing ANG, he was a structural assemblyman at Rickenbacker Air Force Base. He also was a member of the National Rifle Association.
Also surviving are a son, Gary (Nicole) Kane Jr. of Amanda; a daughter, Mrs. Dean (Angela Kane) Kessler of Lancaster; a stepdaughter, Darci Noble of Amanda; five grandchildren; three brothers, John (Carolyn) Kane of Lancaster, Robert (Juanita) Kane of Laurelville and David (Caroline) Kane of Rockbridge; a sister, Mrs. Brian (Judy Kane) Cordle of Rockbridge; and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday at Taylor Funeral Home, 111 W. Main St., Amanda.
Cremation will follow.

DALE W. RIDDLE
Dale W. Riddle, 74, Laurelville, died Tuesday, Nov. 27 at Mt. Carmel Medical Center.
Born June 1, 1926, Vinton County, son of Clinton and Elva Thompson Riddle, he was married
to Marlene Thompson Riddle, who survives.
Founder of Dale W. Riddle Forest Product, he was a member of Hocking County Soil and Water Conservation District, Ohio Forestry Association and National Hardwood Lumberman's Association.
Also surviving are three sons, Rodney B. (Sharon) Riddle, Craig M. (Suellen) Riddle and Chris R. (Cindy) Riddle, all of Laurelville; two daughters, Heidi S. Riddle and Mrs. Doug (Holly M.) Tatman, both of Laurelville; 12 grandchildren, Gretchen, Blayne, Bree, Bryce, Lyenya, Maigan, Brandon, Shane, Josh, Colin, Ashley and Tyler; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ivan Riddle of Laurelville and Ronnie Riddle of Londonderry; and two sisters, Thelma Elkins of Laurelville and DonnaBelle Killman of Orange, Texas.
He also was preceded in death by his first wife, A. Jacquline "Jackie" Riddle; five brothers, Harry, Owen, Billie, Donnie and Bobby; and a sister, Dollie Marie.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Wellman Funeral Home, 1455 N. Court St., Circleville.
Burial will be in Green Summit cemetery.

HARRY J. TAYLOR
Harry J. Taylor, 93, Logan, died Tuesday, Nov. 28 at the Hocking Valley Community Hospital.
Born March 5, 1907, Athens County, son of the late Arthur and Amanda Hogue Taylor, he was the widower of Letha Pedigo Taylor.
A retired coal miner, he worked in this area and in the eastern part of Ohio.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
He also was preceded in death by an infant child; a sister, Hazel McClelland; and two brothers, Edward and Paul Taylor.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1 at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, Nelsonville, with the Rev. Gary Carlson officiating.
Interment will be in Greenlawn cemetery, Nelsonville.

PAUL ADRIAN THARP
Paul Adrian Tharp, 89, Somerset, formerly of Hemlock, died Tuesday, Nov. 28 at Somerset Quality Care.
Born Feb. 7, 1911, Hemlock, he was the son of the late Eldon and Dora Shockley Tharp.
A Navy veteran who served in World War II, he was a member of Hemlock Community Church and Corning Eagles Aeries 463.
Surviving are a sister-in-law, Nettie Tharp of Hemlock; and many nieces and nephews.
He also was preceded in death by two sisters, Opal Simon and Francis Dora Tharp; and a brother, Wesley K. Tharp.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
The family suggests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.

Lorena B. Vaught, 83, Glouster, died Wednesday, Nov. 29 at Hickory Creek Nursing Center, The Plains.
Born Dec. 11, 1916, Glouster, daughter of the late John and Bessie Vanhorn Nott, she was the widow of Aurel Vaught.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday at Brown Funeral Home, Murray City.
Burial will be in Glouster cemetery.

SHANE WILLIAM HENDERSON
Shane William Henderson, 23, Millfield, died Wednesday, Nov. 29.
Born Jan. 25, 1977, Athens, he was the only son of Linda Zimmer Alfman and Bill Henderson.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday at Cardaras Funeral Home, Glouster, with Pastor Ron Fierce officiating.
Interment will be in Maplewood cemetery, Glouster.

Marvine Mitchell, 84, died Thursday, Nov. 30 at St. Rita Nursing Home, Columbus.
Surviving are numerous cousins, including Josephine Clellen and Saphronia Barbee.
Cremation will be followed by private burial.

EVERETT PATTON
Everett N. Patton, 81, Nelsonville, died Thursday, Nov. 30, at Crestview Manor Nursing Home, Lancaster.
Born April 16, 1919, Haydenville, son of the late James and Virgia Chandler Patton, he was married
to Dorothy C. Monk Adams Patton, who survives.
He was a retired shipping department employee of Kasier Aluminum and attended Nelsonville Wesleyan Church.
Also surviving are a stepson, Fred (Lucretia) Adams of Nelsonville; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Jerry (Kay) Llewellyn of Nelsonville; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, James and Charlotte Myers, James and Nancy Monk, Roger Monk and Robert and Becky Monk, all of Logan, Michael and Janice Fish of Napoleon, Mich., and Gale and Judy Monk of Nelsonville.
He also was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Brady; great-grandson, Caleb Adams; a sister, Hazel Patton; sister- and brother-in-law, Velma and Rev. Gale Monk; and nephew, Donald Monk. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, with the Rev. Michael Thomas officiating.
Burial will be in Connett cemetery, Athens County.

Emma L. Deal, 95, Pataskala, died Saturday, Dec. 2, at Pataskala Oaks Care Center.
Born Oct. 1, 1905, Athens County, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Jesse Misner Lovesey.
