CHARLES E. WYCKOFF SR.
Charles E. Wyckoff Sr., 42, Logan, died Saturday, Dec. 9 at his residence. Born Oct. 9, 1958, Hocking County, he was the son of Leroy Wyckoff of Englewood, Tenn., and the late Dorothy Friley Wyckoff. He worked at General Clay; served in the Army National Guard for 8 1/2 years; and was a member of Logan AMVETS and Honor Guard, and Eagles Lodge 2168. Also surviving are a son and fiance, Charles E. Wyckoff Jr. and Jennifer Williams of Logan; stepmother, Joanne Wyckoff of Englewood, Tenn.; two brothers, Larry Aiken of Rockland, Maine, and Tony Wyckoff of Port Clinton; a sister, Vickie Toops of Logan; and seven nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, with the Rev. King Kelly officiating. Burial will be in Webb Summit cemetery. Military graveside services will be conducted by the Combined Veteran Organizations of Hocking County. Eagles memorial service will be held 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. WILLIAM DALE ROSE
William Dale Rose, 68, Darien, Ga., died Friday, Dec. 8. Born Sept. 5, 1932, Logan, son of the late Harry L. and Ruth Davis Rose, he was married
to Billie Murdock Rose, who survives. He was a past member of the Logan Chapter of Moose Lodge and the American Legion Post 78. Also surviving are four daughters, Diane, Carolyn, Mary Lou and Aleta; a son, William T. Rose of Jesup, Ga.; three stepchildren, Marla, Marsha and Ralph; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Patricia Nelson of New Straitsville and Mrs. Dean (Michele) Wittekind of Logan; several nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Alice Rose. He also was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas L. Rose and Dennis E. Rose of Logan; mother-in-law, Bid Murdock; and a stepson, Robert T. Berry. Funeral services were held at Chapman Funeral Chapel in Brunswick, Ga. Interment was in Darien, Ga.

Leroy "Buck" Six Jr., 63, New Straitsville, died Monday, Dec. 11 at Hocking Valley Community Hospital. Eugene D. Goss, 80, Logan, died Monday, Dec. 11 at his residence. Born Nov. 30, 1920, Lancaster, son of the late Clyde and Lois Dumm Goss, he was married
to Mary Ann Kern Goss, who survives. A World War II Army veteran, he owned and operated Gene¹s Barber Shop in Logan for 40 years and was a longtime bartender at the Home Tavern. He also was a member of the Logan VFW, AMVETS, Moose Lodge, American Legion and a life member of the D.A.V. Surviving are a son, Gib (Renee) Tschudy of Logan; four daughters, Mrs. Randy (Sharon) Raymer of Houston, Texas, Mrs. Richard (Sue) Cochran of Rockbridge, Kathy Appleman of Somerset and Becky Biehl of New Marshfield; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and mother-in-law, Inez Kern of Logan. William Paul Russell, 81, Buchtel, died Monday, Dec. 11 at Sunbridge Nursing Center, New Lexington. Born April 16, 1919, Athens County, son of the late Virgil and Ruth Rittenberry Russell, he was married

Gene Kenneth Arledge, 46, Laurelville, died Tuesday, Dec. 12 from injuries as the result of an auto accident. Born May 22, 1954, Adelphi, he was the son of Alvin and Anne Nungester Arledge, who survives. A life-long musician, he was a partner with Arledge Logging. Also surviving are two brothers, Harold (Lisa) Arledge and John Arledge of Laurelville; and two sisters, Mrs. Jerry (Billie Jo) Morrison and Cindy Arledge of Laurelville. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jeffery Dean Arledge. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Pleasant Hill Community Church with the Rev. Carl Bode officiating. Nancy S. Dennis, 57, Logan, died Tuesday, Dec. 12 at Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus. Born Sept. 1, 1943, Hocking County, she was the daughter of Louise Wittekind Pratt of Logan and the late Charles William Pratt. She attended Logan Church of the Nazarene. Also surviving are a daughter, Shelley Dennis of Logan; a son, William Ryan Dennis of Lancaster; and three sisters, Sandy Pratt of Logan, Mrs. Tony (Shirley) Rutowski of Grosse Isle, Mich., and Mrs. Jim (Connie) Swaim of Logan. She also was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Hazel Dennis Sharb; and an aunt, Dorothy Ogg. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at Cardaras Funeral Home, Logan, with the Rev. Letha May Mundy, 75, Logan, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Dec. 13 at Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster. Born Oct. 13, 1925, Logan, daughter of the late Oscar Blum and Kittie May Harden Blum Grove, she was married
to Harry G. Mundy of Logan, who survives. She was a homemaker and a very active member of St. John Lutheran Church, Laurel Township, Hocking County. She also was a former Sunday School superintendent and teacher at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, junior choir director at St. Matthew Lutheran Church and choir director and an elder at St. John Lutheran Church. Also surviving are two sons, Jeffrey (Julie) Mundy of DeBary, Fla., and Clark Mundy of Bremen; three daughters, Kathleen Patton of New Plymouth and Mrs. Jack (Julie) Griffin and Melody Colliton, both of Logan; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Paul M. Blum of Minneapolis, Minn., and Lowell (Jane) Blum of Waynesville, Mo.; two sisters, Helen Wood of Minneapolis, Minn., and Garnet Grove of Chatfield, Minn.; and several nieces and nephews. Arthur L. Traugh, 70, Nelsonville, died Thursday, Dec. 14 at Doctors North Hospital, Columbus. Born Jan. 15, 1930, Nelsonville, son of the late Eugene and Ella Hartman Traugh, he was married

GLADYS IRENE SCHORR
Gladys Irene "Mutt" Schorr, 90, Logan, died unexpectedly Thursday, Dec. 14 at her residence. Born Sept. 26, 1910, Logan, daughter of the late Walter Earl and Elsie May Glass Columber, she was the widow of Lawrence Edward Schorr, who died in 1976. A homemaker, she was a member of St. John Catholic Church and St. Mary Ladies Auxiliary 115. She had worked for many years at the Godman Shoe Company and Elberfeld's Department Store. She was inducted into the Logan High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 1997. Surviving are four generations of nieces and nephews. She also was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Louise Culp and Margaret L. Kistler; two brothers, John Lester Columber and Howard Earl "Tudy" Columber. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John Catholic Church with Rev. Father Richard J. Pendolphi officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove cemetery. Charles E. Hoops, 65, New Straitsville, died Saturday, Dec. 16 at Hocking Valley Community Hospital.
Born Nov. 13, 1935, New Lexington, son of the late Charles A. and Ruth Lowry Hoops, he was married
to Fermina Regodon Hoops, who survives.
Retired from the Southern Local School District, he served as a transportation supervisor and a bus mechanic. He also was employed at Tansky in Logan, Taylor Chevrolet of Lancaster and Tom Drum A.M.C., New Lexington; was a member of Hemlock Community Church; and former mayor of New Straitsville.
Also surviving are four sons, Kenneth (Christine) Hoops of Crooksville, Robert (Pamala Sue) Hoops of Pawley Island, S.C., Charles (Crystal) Hoops of New Straitsville and Mike Hoops of Logan; two daughters, Kimberly Bowman of Dayton and Arlinda Hoops of New Straitsville; two brothers, John (Janie) Hoops of New Lexington and Jim (Marilyn) Hoops of Corning; six sisters, June Culbertson of Zanesville, Marie Bougher of Lancaster, Mrs. Eugene (Mabel) Whitmer of Mansfield, Marilyn Roberts of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla., Mrs. Claude (Elaine) Imler of Shawnee and Mrs. Tom (Donna) Begley of New Straitsville; brother-in-law, Gene Begley of New Straitsville; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He also was preceded in death by two sisters, Norma McLean and Eleanor Begley; two brothers, Robert and William Hoops; a daughter, Amelita Hoops; and a great-grandson, Christian Auker.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at J.E. Humphrey Funeral Home, 118 W. Walnut St., Shawnee, with the Rev. Eugene Whitmer officiating.
Interment will be in Shawnee cemetery. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today and anytime Tuesday at the funeral home.
PAULINE M. JONES
Pauline M. Jones, 75, Logan, died Saturday, Dec. 16 at Mt. Carmel Medical Center, Columbus.
Born June 22, 1925, Greendale, daughter of the late Archibald and Effie Newlun Weekly, she was the widow of Norman Lee Jones, who died Jan. 20, 1976.
A nurses¹ aide at several nursing homes, she was a member of The Peoples Church of Logan.
Surviving are four sons, Jack L. (Sue) Jones, Tony Jones, Kenneth (Margie) Jones and Jeff (Tammi) Jones, all of Logan; two daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Bertha Donna) Mullaney of Burlington, Mass., and Shirley Jones of Logan; 14 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by a grandson, Brian Cozart; and a great-grandson, Norman Lee Jones.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, with the Rev. Roger Fidler officiating.
Burial will be in Oak Grove cemetery, Logan.

LEORA M. RISEN
Leora M. Risen, 77, Logan, formerly of Zanesville, died Friday, Dec. 15 at Logan Health Care Center.
Born Nov. 20, 1923, Monroe County, daughter of the late Herman and Beulah Redic Gatten, she was married
for 54 years to Robert E. Risen, who survives.
A member of Central Trinity United Methodist Church in Zanesville, she also attended the Coonville Holiness Mission.
Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Denny (Cheryl) Barlow of Rockbridge; two grandchildren, Amy Barlow of Canal Winchester and Kevin Barlow of Lancaster; two sisters, Grethel Durant of Plainfield, Ill., and Alma Cline of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl and Murl Gatten; and two sisters, Helen Claus and Eva Mayberry.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cardaras Funeral Home, Logan, with the Rev. James Mathias officiating.
Interment will be in New Fairview Memorial Gardens.

RUTH M. SELLERS
Ruth M. Shaw Sellers, 94, Logan, died Saturday, Dec. 16 at Hocking Valley Community Hospital, Logan.
Born May 4, 1906, Jobs, daughter of the late Charles and Lauramae Besco March, she was the widow of Arnett Sellers.
A homemaker, she was a 60-plus-year member of the Logan Church of the Nazarene; a member of the Caleb Club; former Sunday School teacher; and former treasurer of the Mission Society of the church. She received a distinguished award for 50 years of membership from the Nazarene Church; was a member of the Scenic Hills Senior Citizens; and a graduate of Murray City High School.
Surviving are a daughter, Virginia Farrell of Honolulu, Hawaii; two stepchildren, Anna Gerken of Logan and Howard Sellers of East Lake; three grandchildren, Debbie Piper of Orlando, Fla., Becki Jack of Houston, Texas, and Randy Farrell of Everett, Wash.; nine step-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several step-great and great-great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter Shaw; two sons, Charles and Roger Shaw; stepson, the Rev. Paul Sellers; and four sisters, Willa Wooten Bateman, Grace Dupler, Murial Gears and Opal Lombard.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Logan Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Thomas L. Gates II officiating.
Burial will be in Shaw cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, Logan, and one hour prior to services at the church Wednesday.
