HAROLD A. DENNIS
Harold A. "Ducky" Dennis, 75, Sugar Grove, died Saturday, Jan. 1 at Mount Carmel East Hospital, Columbus.
Son of the late Dumont S. and Bessie Engle Dennis, he was the widower of Joan Dennis, who died July 8, 1999. The couple were married
53 years.
A World War II Army veteran, he was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church of Hide-A-Way Hills and Rushville Masonic Lodge 211. He was a retired foreman from the maintenance and compressor room department at Anchor Hocking Corporation.
Surviving are three sons, Keith (Janie) Dennis of Rushville, Gary (Connie) Dennis of Sugar Grove and Dean (Karen) Dennis of Sugar Grove; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Helen Klinger of Lancaster and Mary Dennis of Sugar Grove; a mother-in-law, Josephine Stevens of Lancaster; and nieces and nephews.
He also was preceded in death by four brothers, Wayne, Karl, Frank and Raymond Dennis, and a sister, Emma Dennis.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sheridan Funeral Home, Lancaster, with Pastor Kent Hollis officiating.
Burial will be in Maple Grove cemetery, Lancaster.
Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. today and 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Rushville Masonic Lodge 211 will hold services 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

WILLIAM H. LANNING
William H. Lanning, 70, Marion, died Friday, Dec. 31, 1999 at his residence.
Born April 12, 1929, Athens County, son of the late William F. and Edna Mae Horn Lanning, he was married
to Evonda Jean Baker Lanning, who survives. The couple were married
July 9, 1999 in Union County.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a member of Eagles and AMVETS lodges of Logan and Moose Lodge of Port Clinton. He retired in 1979 as a truck driver for Applied Distribution Corporation.
A Marion resident for six months, he was a prior resident of Athens.
Also surviving are four sons, Rick Lanning of Athens, Bob Lanning of Amanda, Doug Lanning of Port Clinton and Michael Lanning of Marion; three daughters, Billie Kay McAfee of Sugar Grove, Virginia Ruiz of Lancaster and Tamara Cleveland of Tiffin; two stepsons, Lynn Leon Beveridge of Edison and Christopher Allen Beveridge of Marion; two stepdaughters, Jeanna Lynn Culwell of Raymond and Christina Louise Decker of Marion; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; 14 step-grandchildren; a brother, Robert Lanning of Columbus; and a sister, Virginia Hall of Columbus.
He also was preceded in death by a son, William H. Lanning Jr.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at Boyd Funeral Home, Marion, with the Rev. Dale Baker officiating.
Burial will take place at a later date.

CHARLES GREGORY LENIGAR
Charles Gregory Lenigar, 5 days, Glouster, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1999 at University Medical Center, Columbus.
Born Dec. 24, 1999, Columbus, he was the son of William Simerly of Glouster and Stephanie Marie Lenigar of Glouster.
Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. today at Brown Funeral Home, Murray City.
Burial will be in Maplewood cemetery, Glouster.
PHYLLIS PICKRELL-BEACH
Phyllis Pickrell-Beach, 76, Newark, died Sunday, Jan. 2 at Licking Memorial Hospital.
Born July 29, 1923, Glouster, daughter of the late Gladstone Herbert and Ida Mae McClellan Jones, she was the widow of Robert O. Beach and her first husband, Paul Pickrell, who died in 1966.
A graduate of Philo High School, she was a homemaker and a member of Church of Christ of Heath.
Surviving are two sons, Jerry H. (Elaine) Pickrell of Lancaster and Jeffrey P. (Lisa) Pickrell of Logan; two daughters, Mrs. Brett (Paula) Richards of Newark and Peggy A. Lees of Newark; a stepson, Lynn (Virginia) Beach of Newark; 12 grandchildren, Christopher, Brent, Leslie, Travis and Cory Pickrell, Tyler, Adam and Stacy Richards, Jason and Julie Goodin, Benjamin Lees and Brian Beach; numerous great-grandchildren; four sisters, Lois Neutzling of Newark, Mrs. Ralph (Delores) Baughman of Zanesville, Mrs. James (Ardeth) Bender of Vero Beach, Fla., and Mrs. Robert (Glenna) Sagle of Little Hocking; a brother, Herbert (Betty) Jones of Kentucky; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Criss-Kirkpatrick Funeral Chapel, Newark, with Ray Linn officiating.
Burial will be in Wilson cemetery.

Larry L. Adams, 62, Murray City, died Monday, Jan. 3 at Chillicothe VA Medical Center.
Born May 25, 1937, Canton, son of the late Russell and Mary Phillips Adams, he was married
to Jean Robinson Adams, who survives.

Anna Margaret Mohler Canter, 85, Lima, formerly of Murray City, died Monday, Jan. 3 at Lima Manor Nursing Home.
Born Jan. 9, 1914, Athens County, daughter of the late Chester and Bessie Hensley Mohler, she was the widow of Floyd Canter.

Born Oct. 17, 1916, Buchtel, she was married
to Glenn Garlinger, who survives.

WAVALENE CRAWFORD CREE
Wavalene Crawford Cree, 85, Lancaster, died Tuesday, Jan. 4 at Gaulden Manor Nursing Center, Baltimore.
Surviving are her husband, Myron Cree; a son, Roger (Diana) Crawford of Batavia; two stepdaughters, Darlene Pulsinelli of Millersport and Beth Ann Cree of Lancaster; a stepson, Myron Lee (Karen) Cree of Bremen; two grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one step-great-grandchild; two brothers, Glenn Huggins and Lowell Huggins, both of Logan; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, John W. Crawford.

CYNTHIA INBODEN
Cynthia Inboden, 48, Virginia Beach, Va., died Saturday, Jan. 1 at her residence.
Born Jan. 8, 1951, Columbus, daughter of the late Ralph W. and Dorothy E. Unger Blum, she was married
for 27 years to Alan Inboden, who survives.
She was a graduate of Logan High School and Ohio University with a bachelor's degree in education. She taught for several years in the Virginia Beach area.
Also surviving are two sons, Aaron and Kyle Inboden of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Jason (Jennifer Emily) Thompson of Lancaster and Sarah Inboden of Lancaster; a brother, John (Sue) Blum of Mandyville, La.; two sisters, Mrs. James (Nancy) Monk of Logan and Reginna Smalley of Rushville; and her mother-in-law, Margaret Inboden of Logan.
Memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at St. John Lutheran Church on Pleasant Valley Road near Logan with Pastor Mike Weaver officiating.
After the memorial service, cremains will be placed in St. John Lutheran cemetery.

Eunice E. Lamborn, 78, Glouster, died Wednesday, Jan. 5 at O'Bleness Memorial Hospital, Athens.
Born Nov. 25, 1921, Glouster, daughter of the late William and Lea Webster McGrew, she was married
to Harold Lamborn, who survives.

Cremation will follow with private graveside services in Maplewood cemetery, Glouster, at a later date.

to Anna Marie Metcalf Winchell, who survives.
