Nelle G. Harper Good, 83, died Wednesday, Jan. 5.
Born Jan. 18, 1916, she was the widow of George A. Good.
She was a member of the Lancaster West Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Surviving are her daughter, Suellen Higgins; three granddaughters, Caprice Dicken, Mrs. Tedd (Chris) Bowman and Mrs. Tim (Lory) Pierce; four great-grandchildren, Alexis, Rex and Liza Pierce and Riley Bowman; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Lancaster West Kingdom Hall, 1602 Cedar Hill Road, with David Boice officiating.
SCOTT JACKSON
Scott Jackson, 35, Nelsonville, died Wednesday, Jan. 5 at his residence.
Born March 22, 1964, Athens, son of James E. Jackson and fiancee Phyllis Thomas of Nelsonville and Mary Montgomery Jackson and fiance Herb Brown of Buchtel, he was married
to Cynthia Dupler Jackson, who survives.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, Nelsonville, with William Glenn officiating.
Interment will be in Whitmore cemetery, Buchtel.
Military graveside services will be conducted by the Combined Color Guard Unit.

VILETTA ELLIOTT
Viletta G. "Birdie" Elliott, 82, Nelsonville, died Friday, Jan. 7 at Doctors Hospital, Nelsonville.
Born Sept. 15, 1917, Jobs, daughter of the late Elmer and Esther Camp Byrd, she was married
for 62 years to Lloyd Elliott, who survives.
She was a member of Wesleyan Church in Nelsonville and Nelsonville Eastern Star OES Eudora Chapter 72.
Also surviving is a granddaughter, Mrs. George (LeeAnn) Hoon of Columbus.
She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Hultgren; a sister, Naomi Stiff; and three brothers, Lawrence, Homer and Clifford Byrd.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, Nelsonville, with the Rev. Michael Thomas officiating.
Interment will be in Greenlawn cemetery, Buchtel.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 Sunday at the funeral home.
ADA NEAL PIDCOCK
Ada Neal Pidcock, 97, Nelsonville, died Thursday, Jan. 6 at her residence.
Born Jan. 14, 1902, Fountain County, Ind., daughter of the late Burton and Jessie Ray Neal, she was the widow of James L. Pidcock, who died March 15, 1983.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville.
Burial will be in New Marshfield cemetery.

ANNA MAE SMITH
Anna Mae Smith, 79, Logan, died Thursday, Jan. 6 at Hocking Valley Community Hospital.
Born Aug. 29, 1920, Meigs County, daughter of the late James Edward and Clara Mae Alkire Levacy, she was the widow of Dale E. Smith, who died Sept. 30, 1990.
A Shade High School graduate, she was a homemaker and a member of Kline Memorial United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a son, Ed (Sue) Smith of Logan; a daughter, Mrs. Mike (C. Joan) Largent of Lancaster; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Ernest Levacy; and two sisters, Billie Kalklosch of Logan and Margaret Bobo of Florida.
She also was preceded in death by four brothers, Frank, Everett, James Edward and Freddie Levacy; and four sisters, Nellie Sanborn, Ethel Metcalf, Lelia Bailey and Doris Anderson.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Sunday at Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Oak Grove cemetery.

HILDA M. TOM
Hilda M. Tom, 85, Logan, died Friday, Jan. 7 at Hocking Valley Community Hospital.
Born Jan. 28, 1914, Hocking County, daughter of the late Charles and Mallie Mae Dickinson Holdren, she was the widow of Theodore Tom, who died in 1957.
She was a member of VFW Auxiliary in Logan.
Surviving are a son, Robert (Lucy) Tom of Logan; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Kenneth Holdren of Union Furnace and Ralph Holdren of Florida; and five sisters, Marguerite Riddle and Bessie Adcock, both of Logan, Helen Mundy of Mansfield, Betty Alberry of Union Furnace and Mary Holdsworth of Marysville.
She also was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Charles Holdren; and five sisters, Grady Disbennett, Garnet Schwaab, Ruth Amerine, Doris Fay Wine and Nellie Belle Holdren.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Oak Grove cemetery with Rev. Paul Elhard officiating.
No calling hours will be observed.

HOPE GILLIAND
Hope Marie Gilliand, 27, Nelsonville, died Friday, Jan. 7 at the Cleveland Clinic.
Born Nov. 4, 1972, Toledo, daughter of James Steven Britton of Stewart and Judith Ann Tanner of Canton, she was married
to Shawn Gilliand, who survives.

ARNOLD GLANEMANN
Arnold D. Glanemann, 58, Jacksonville, formerly of the Corning area, died Sunday, Jan. 9 at Doctors Hospital, Nelsonville.
Born Nov. 6, 1941, Hollister, Athens County, son of the late Ernest "Pat" and Frances Brooks Glanemann, he was married
for 32 years to Bobbie J. Dunwoody Glanemann, who survives.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Also surviving are four children, Regina Glanemann Verkest of Moxie, Arnold D. Glanemann Jr. and Amy McQuaid, both of Jacksonville, and Mrs. Donald (Melissa) Campbell of Corning; 12 grandchildren, Bobbie Glanemann, Kenny Verkest, Billy Verkest, Kerie Verkest, Beth Glanemann, Arnold "A.J." Glanemann III, Kelly McQuaid, Dustin McQuaid, Gregory McQuaid Jr., Samantha Freer, Alan Campbell and Bryan Barnhart Jr.; four brothers, Ernie Glaneman of Hemlock, Haddis Glanemann of New Lexington, Jack Carroll of Shawnee and Elmer Glanemann of Corning; and three sisters, Phyllis Simpson of New Lexington, Mrs. Paul (Alice) Bourne of New Straitsville and Tilly Glanemann of Corning.
He also was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth and Barney; a sister, Lorrett; and a granddaughter, Jayna Glanemann.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at J.E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Shawnee.
Burial will be in Beach Grove cemetery.

LUELLA KUHN
Luella M. Kuhn, 72, Delaware, formerly of Lancaster, died Friday, Jan. 7 at Grady Memorial Hospital, Delaware.
Daughter of the late Carl and Mary Appel, she was the widow of John Kuhn.
A 1947 Lancaster High School graduate, she was a member of Calvary Orthodox Lutheran Church, past president of Ladies American Legion Post 411 in Dublin and past president of St. Michael's Community Association, where she was also involved in Bible class.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Michael "Rick" Jeanette Cave of Logan, Cindy Appel of Waynesville, N.C., and Mrs. Donald (Marilyn) Hovis of Marion; three sons, Tim (Mary) Green of Laurelville, Carl Appel of Lancaster and Randy (Tammi) Kuhn of Lancaster; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Tom (Eleanor) Morrow of Lancaster, Mrs. Bill (Ruth) Poole of Logan, Norene Peck of Perrysburg, Mrs. Don (Martha) Holbrook of Lancaster and Esther Boyer of Lancaster; two brothers, George (Mary Jane) Appel of Lancaster and Harry (Janice) Appel of Lancaster; and aunt, Pauline Wonyetye of North Palm Beach, Fla., and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at Halteman-Fett and Dyer Funeral Home, Lancaster, with the Rev. Marloe Karlen officiating.
Burial will be in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.

ROBERT KUHN
Robert Kenneth Kuhn, 44, McArthur, died Friday, Jan. 7 as the result of an automobile accident.
Born April 20, 1955, Columbus, son of Harold Bernell and Mary Lou Lutz Smyers of Logan, he was married
to Lois Chaffin Kuhn, who survives.
He had worked at Logan Goodyear Plant for 22 years and was presently a student at the truck driving school in Nelsonville. He served three years in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era and 18 years in the Ohio National Guard. He was a member of Nelsonville Holiness Church.
Also surviving are a son, Charles H. Kuhn of McArthur; two daughters, Virginia J. Kuhn of Logan and Kimberly D. Kuhn of McArthur; four brothers, Ed Smyers of New Straitsville, Eric Smyers of Lancaster, Shawn Smyers of Logan and John Smyers of Logan; and a sister, Anna Smyers of Athens.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Cheryl Jean Coakley Kuhn, who died in 1996; a son, Robert Clinton Kuhn; and a grandmother, Effie Smyers.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at Roberts Funeral Home, Logan, with the Revs. James Pollard, Arnold Chandler and Steven W. Heskett officiating.
Burial will be in Shaw cemetery, Falls Township, where military graveside services will be conducted by the Combined Veterans of Hocking County.

PEARL MAYS
Pearl Emily Mays, 75, Logan, died Saturday, Jan. 8 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, after a brief illness.
Born Nov. 29, 1924, Logan, she was the daughter of the late John and Virginia Maude Mitchell Williamson.
She retired from Diamond Power Company of Lancaster in 1990 after 16 1/2 years of service.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Roger Dean (Donna J.) Freeman of Lancaster, Mrs. Charles (Peggy P.) Wilson of Logan and Mrs. John (Dorothy A.) Sullivan of North Topsail Beach, N.C.; two granddaughters, Kelly Mays of Lancaster and Mrs. Paul (April) Drake of Logan; and two great-granddaughters, Toni and Cherokee of Logan.
She also was preceded in death by two sons, John and Paul Mays, and several brothers and sisters.
Memorial services were held 4 p.m. Sunday at Roberts Funeral Home with the Rev. Steven W. Heskett officiating.
