GORDON LOSEY
Gordon Phil Losey, 65, Glouster, died Sunday, March 5 at his residence.
Born Nov. 15, 1934, Athens County, he was the son of the late Russell and Mae E. Jones Losey.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Cardaras Funeral Home, Glouster.
Burial will be in Beech Grove cemetery, Perry County.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

EDITHA MERCEDES PRATER
Editha Mercedes Prater, 72, Nelsonville, died Monday, March 6.
Born Nov. 26, 1927, Athens County, daughter of the late Clinton and Alice VanBibber Walker, she was married for 50 years to Homer E. Prater, who survives.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville.
Burial will be in Asbury cemetery.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 Wednesday at the funeral home.

DELBERT VEST
Delbert Clayton Vest, 80, a resident of the Ohio Masonic Home, died Sunday, March 5 at Community Hospital.
Born Aug. 19, 1919, Hocking County, son of the late Alvah and Hulda Davis Vest, he was the widower of Margaret E. Vest, who died Sept. 3, 1999.
A World War II Army medic veteran, he was a retired teacher with more than 21 years experience. He was a member of Story Hypes Methodist Church and VFW Post 1031.
Surviving are a daughter, Patricia Holden of Florida; a son, Bert A. Vest of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews.
He also was preceded in death by a brother, Darley Vest.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Jones-Kenney-Zechman Funeral Home, Springfield, with the Rev. Eugene Newell officiating.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Wesley Chapel cemetery, South Bloomingville.
Friends may call one hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home.

EILEEN CONRAD
Eileen Rose Conrad, 79, Logan, died Tuesday, March 7 at Hocking Valley Community Hospital following extended illness.
Born Jan. 7, 1921, Logan, daughter of the late Nicholas Leroy and Ida Mae Poling Schrader, she was the widow of Robert W. Conrad Sr., who died in 1995.
She retired in 1984 after 38 years of service as a devoted clerk of the former Walsh's Bakery in Logan. She was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church since 1950.
Surviving are a son, Robert (Judy) Conrad Jr. of Logan; two daughters, Betty J. Morris of Logan and Mrs. Jim (Linda M.) Cottrill of Logan; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Howard F. (Hilda) Schrader of Logan; a sister-in-law, Nora Mae Schrader of Logan; and several nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by a brother, George Leroy "Bud" Schrader.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Roberts Funeral Home with the Rev. Clarence M. Thompson officiating.
Burial will be in New Fairview Memorial Gardens, Good Hope Township, Hocking County.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. until time of services Thursday at the funeral home.

REV. COLLIN L. GORDON
Rev. Collin L. Gordon, 65, Haydenville, died Monday, March 6 at Logan Health Care Center.
Born July 21, 1934, Rising Sun, Ind., son of the late Elmer and Viola Hamilton Gordon, he was the widower of Rudy Steele Gordon, who died April 14, 1994.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Smith Chapel cemetery.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Thursday at the funeral home.

PATRICIA LOU LARGENT
Patricia Lou Largent, 74, Ashville, formerly of Jackson, died Monday, March 6 at her residence.
Daughter of the late Gerald and Frances Hill Nelson, she was the widow of Virgil Largent, who died in 1987.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Carl (Linda) Wooten and Sue Ellison of Jackson; two sons, James (Bernadette Heilman) Largent of Chillicothe and Gerald (Kathy Householder) Largent of Ashville; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, Gerald Nelson of Madison, Maine.
She also was preceded in death by a twin brother, Stanley Nelson; and a granddaughter, Cynthia Sue Wooten.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Mayhew Funeral Home, Jackson, with the Rev. Wendell Vermillion officiating.
Burial will be in Fairmount cemetery, Jackson.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

MARY RAUBER
Mary L. Rauber, 75, Logan, died Monday, March 6 at Hocking Valley Community Hospital.
Born Feb. 3, 1925, Logan, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Martha M. Riggs Rauber.
She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church where she prepared and served many church dinners. She also was a member of the Lutheran Social Services Auxiliary and Aid Association for Lutheran 6604. She worked for several years as a meat wrapper at the former A&P Grocery stores in Logan, Athens and New Lexington. She retired from the former Super Duper Grocery Store. She also was a member of the Retirees Club UFCW Local 1059.
Surviving are a brother, Charles (Helen) Rauber of Logan; a nephew, David (Sue) Rauber of Jackson; a niece, Mrs. Dave (Linda) Roach of The Plains; a great-niece, Bethany Roach; and a four great-nephews, Jason and Matthew Rauber and Christopher and Jeremy Roach.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Matthew Lutheran Church with Pastor Paul Elhard officiating.
Burial will be in Ewing cemetery, Hocking County.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 today at Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
The family suggests contributions be made to St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 258 E. Hunter St., Logan, Ohio 43138.

HARRY HULTGREN
Harry A. Hultgren, 71, The Plains, died Monday, March 6 at his residence.
Born May 5, 1928, Omaha, Neb., son of the late Harry A. and Norma Kopp Hultgren, he was the widower of Carolyn Hultgren.
Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, Nelsonville.

LESSIE HUNT
Lessie Pearl Hunt, 94, Circleville, died Tuesday, March 7 at Logan Elm Health Care.
Born Feb. 8, 1906, West Union, W.Va., daughter of the late Newton and Carrie Sherwood Noble, she was the widow of Bryan Hunt, to whom she was married for 57 years.
She was a member of Pickaway Senior Center and attended Laurel Hills United Methodist Church in Laurelville.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Clyde (Virginia) Stinard of Laurelville and Mrs. Jack (Sue) Huffman of Circleville; two sons, George (Ruth) Hunt of Adelphi and Melvin (Phyllis) Hunt of Tarlton; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Gaiel (Lucille) Winland of Laurelville; and two sisters-in-law, Wanda Noble of Columbus and Irene Hunt of Laurelville.
She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Gerald and Adrian Noble.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville.
Burial will be in Tarlton cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

CLAYTON THOMAS
Clayton Dean Thomas, 57, Union Furnace, died Tuesday, March 7 at Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus, following an extended illness.
Son of Mildred Thomas and the late Wid Thomas, he was married to Ruth E. Thomas, who survives.
Also surviving are two sisters, Birdie Weaver and Jean Snider; two daughters, Mrs. Ken (Terry) Henderson of New Jersey and Beth Thomas; two sons, Jerry (Lisa) Thomas and Dave (Beth) Thomas; three grandsons, Zach Thomas and Steven and Forrest Henderson; three granddaughters, Andrea Daugherty and Lacey and Samantha Thomas; and his faithful companion, Buddy.
Following his wishes, he will be cremated.
No calling hours will be observed.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Union Furnace United Methodist Church.
There also will be a potluck dinner at his home in Union Furnace.

VERNON NAPIER
Vernon Napier, 65, New Plymouth, died Friday, March 10 at Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster.
Born June 11, 1934, Avawam, Ky., son of the late Charles and Mary Campbell Napier, he was married to Patty White Napier, who survives.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at New Plymouth United Methodist Church.
Burial will be in Asbury cemetery.
Military graveside services will be conducted by Vinton County VFW Post 5299.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 today and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 Sunday at Garrett Funeral Home, McArthur, and one hour prior to services Monday at the church.

MILDRED HANSLEY
Mildred L. Holland Hansley, 89, Lancaster, formerly of Logan, died Wednesday, March 8 at her daughter's residence in North Fort Myers, Fla.
She was the widow of Walter Hansley.
Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by a daughter.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Frank E. Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Lancaster.
Burial will be in Forest Rose cemetery, Lancaster.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 today at the funeral home.
