JOHN DORRIS
John R. Dorris, 57, Hebron, died Tuesday, April 4 at Licking Memorial Hospital.
Born Jan. 1, 1943, Hocking County, son of the late George Robert and Lydia Ellen Holcomb Dorris, he was married
for 33 years to Letha L. Ledford Dorris, who survives.
He was retired from the Ohio State Highway Patrol where he served as a trooper for 30 years at the Hebron and Granville posts and was employed by the Blacco Splicing and Rigging Co., Columbus. An Army veteran, he was a former member of Ohio National Guard and a very active member of American Legion Post 285 in Hebron.
He was a member of Hebron Lodge 116 F&AM, the Provost Unit of the Aladdin Temple Shrine, Licking County Shrine, Utica Shrine and Fraternal Order of Police of Columbus.
Also surviving are two sons, John Ryan (Julie Bruah) Dorris of Heath and Mark Robert Dorris and fiancee, Valerie Belcher of Newark; a daughter, Mrs. James (Angela) Baumgartner of Hebron; a granddaughter, Rachel Baumgartner; a brother, Michael Allen (Debbie) Dorris of Logan; a sister, Mrs. Thomas (Joann) Beddow of Plain City; and several nieces and nephews.
He also was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill, Jim and Dick Dorris.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Kirkersville Chapel of Henderson, Van Atta & Johnston Funeral Service with Pastor David Myers officiating.
Burial will be in Hebron cemetery.
Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 9 Friday at the funeral home, 285 E. Main St., Kirkersville.

WANDA L. SHEPARD
Wanda L. Shepard, 75, Dayton, formerly of Glouster, died Wednesday, April 5 at her residence.
Born August 19, 1924, Glouster, daughter of the late James Russell and Florence Starcher Russell Collins, she was the widow of Roy A. Shepard, who died in 1979.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Cardaras Funeral Home, Glouster, with Delbert Turner officiating.
Interment will be in the Hilltop cemetery, Millfield.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
LULU M. WHITE
Lulu M. White, 94, Laurelville, formerly of Logan, died Thursday, April 6 at Hocking Valley Community Hospital.
Born Feb. 13, 1906, Hocking County, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Fast and Amanda Dean Fast.
She was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a brother, Walter Fast of Laurelville; a sister, June McGlone of Michigan; a nephew with whom she made her home, Charles (Sharon) Fast of Laurelville; and several nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. White, who died in 1966; and brothers, Edgar and Albert Fast.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Trinity United Methodist Church, Laurelville, with the Revs. Donald Cummans and Ben Edwards officiating.
Burial will be in Mount Olive cemetery, South Perry.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.
HOMER ADAMS
Homer "Jr." Adams, 63, affectionately known by his grandchildren as "Big Pa" died Thursday, April 6 at Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus.
Born Feb. 8, 1937, Nelsonville, son of Catherine Breeze Adams of Nelsonville and the late Homer Adams Sr., he was married
to Martha R. Daugherty Adams, who survives.
He was retired from the city of Nelsonville and was a member of Nelsonville Elks Lodge.
Also surviving are a son, Jeff (Tracy) Adams of Nelsonville; two daughters, Shelly and Amy Adams, both of Nelsonville; two grandchildren, Jeffrey and Colton Adams, both of Nelsonville; a brother, Richard Adams of Nelsonville; and two sisters, Mrs. Ronnie (Kathy) Lauderback and Mrs. Rob (Angie) Reliford, both of Nelsonville.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, Nelsonville, with the Rev. Michael Thomas officiating.
Interment will be in Connett cemetery, York Township.

James W. Gibson, 76, Glouster, died Thursday, April 6 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.
Born May 12, 1923, Huntingdon, Tenn., son of the late Gilford and Blanche Reynolds Gibson Sr., he was married
to Elsie Sawyer Gibson, who survives.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Sunday at Cardaras Funeral Home, Glouster, with the Rev. Esther Avery officiating.

DAVID J. OKULICH
David J. Okulich, 55, Lancaster, died Sunday, April 9 at Rockmill Rehabilitation Center, Lancaster.
Born October 26, 1944, Columbus, he was the son of the late Johnie and Louis Sorrell Okulich.
He was a draftsman.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Whitmore cemetery, Buchtel.
No calling hours will be observed.

Anthony Tomassi, 87, Murray City, died Sunday, April 9 at Doctors Hospital, Nelsonville.
Born March 22, 1913, Yukon Pa., son of the late Amata and Elvira Tomassi, he was married
to Thelma D. Phillips Tomassi, who survives.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Wednesday at Brown Funeral Home, Murray City.
Interment will be in Greenlawn cemetery, Nelsonville.
Military graveside services will be conducted by the Combined Color Guard Unit.

JOHN F. MOCK
John F. Mock, 87, Logan, died Sunday, April 9 at the Logan Health Care Center.
Born March 31, 1913, Logan, son of the late Charles P. Mock and Eva Nail Mock, he was married
to Ruth E. Smith Mock, who survives.
He retired from General Electric in Logan and was a member of Immanuel United Methodist church.
Surviving are two sons, Robert L. (Elizabeth) Mock of Camarillo, Calif., and Frederick R. (Rosemary) Mock of Lancaster; a daughter, Barbara J. Wright of Logan; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Charles A. Mock of Seattle, Wash.
He also was preceded in death by a half brother, Joe Mock; a brother, William C. Mock; and a sister, Martha Wiseman.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Cardaras Funeral Home, Logan, with the Rev. Gary Wheeler officiating.
Interment will be at Oak Grove cemetery.

Herman R. Roeder, Jr., 66, Rockbridge, died Monday, April 10 at Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus.
Born Dec. 22, 1933, Columbus, son of the late Herman R. Roeder, Sr. and Mildred E. Potter Roeder, he was married
to Pamela Hansford Roeder, who survives.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday at Cardaras Funeral Home, Logan, with the Rev. Hal Keeton officiating.
Interment will be in the Knollwood cemetery.
Military graveside service will be conducted.

Hazel Marie Williams, 82, Albany, died Monday, April 10 at her daughter's residence.
Born June 13, 1917, Hollister, daughter of the late William and Abbie Hook Moody, she was the widow of Andrew Williams, who died Dec. 23, 1968.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at Cardaras Funeral Home, Glouster, with great-grandson, Dartlin James Dicken, officiating.
Interment will be in Hollister cemetery.

REGINA M. EVANS
Regina M. "Jean" Evans, 87, Nelsonville, died Wednesday, April 12 at Doctors Hospital, Nelsonville.
Born Nov. 14, 1912, Buchtel, daughter of the late Thomas and Sophia Davis, she was the widow of Edward Evans, who died in 1968.
Surviving are one son, William T. (Mary) Evans of Mansfield; two daughters, Edwina J. McCoy and Mrs. Charles (Sharon) Stover of Nelsonville; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Audrey Mitchell, Murray City; and several nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by a granddaughter; two great-grandchildren; one brother; and several sisters.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Sunday at Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville, with the Rev. Michael Thomas officiating.
Burial will be at Greenlawn cemetery, Nelsonville.
