Grace E. Mingus, 75, Glouster, died Monday, April 24 at Doctor's Hospital, Nelsonville.
Born on Nov. 28, 1924, South Carolina, the daughter of the late Walter Smith and Elizabeth Philips Smith, she was married
to Gerald Mingus of Glouster, who survives.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Cardaras Funeral Home, Glouster.
Burial will be at Taylor Ridge cemetery.

CLARENCE L. CULP
Clarence L. Culp, 75, Marion, died Tuesday, April 25, at Marion General Hospital.
Born Oct. 31, 1927, Nelsonville, the son of the late John M. Culp and Rose "Tillie" Stark, he was the widower of Helen L. Columber, who passed away Nov. 28, 1999.
A graduate of Buchtel High School and Ohio University, he was past president of Marion Noon Lions Club, a member of Marion Elks Lodge #32, a lifetime member of AICPA and Ohio Society of CPA's and an avid golfer.
He was a World War II Veteran, receiving a purple heart and a bronze star.
He was a certified public accountant and partner in the accounting firm of Manter, Culp and Holbrook.
Surviving are a sister, Theresa Lemon of Logan; a brother, Leonard Culp of Oklahoma; nieces and nephews; great-nieces and -nephews, great-great-nieces and -nephews; and great-great-great-nieces and -nephews.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Viola and Erma; and two brothers, Theodore and Victor.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Denzer Farison Hottinger Funeral Home, Marion, with the Rev. Daniel Kiger officiating.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Greenlawn cemetery, Nelsonville, with the Rev. Rob Dauber officiating.
Military services will be conducted as close to 1:30 p.m. as possible.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.

EDITH GORDON
Edith B. Gordon, 104, Logan, died Thursday, April 27 at Hocking Valley Community Hospital.
Born Jan. 22, 1896, Hocking County, daughter of the late Robert C. Brimner and Alwida Stone Brimner, she was the widow of Samuel F. Gordon, who died Jan. 31, 1981.
An Ohio University graduate, she was a retired elementary school teacher, having taught 30 years in various schools in Hocking County. She also was a longtime member of St. John Lutheran Church and a lifetime member of Ewing Grange and Pomona Grange.
Surviving are two nephews, Luther P. Brimner and Harold (Milda) Brimner, both of Logan, and a niece, Mrs. Eugene (Rosemary) Garrison of Mount Sterling.
She also was preceded in death by a brother, Arlie Brimner, and a niece, Marilyn Conley.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday, April 30 at Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Oak Grove cemetery.

REVA BOND
Reva R. Bond, 81, Logan, formerly of Springfield, died Thursday, April 27 at Hocking Valley Community Hospital.
Born Jan. 16, 1919, Haydenville, daughter of the late Frederick and Cora Warren Vollmer, she was the widow of John W. Bond, who died in April 1976.
She retired from Springfield Leather.
Surviving are four children, Mrs. Gene (Virginia) Brooks of Athens, Mrs. Bob (Jerry) Foster of Springfield, Mrs. Junior (Judy) Crank of Okeechobee, Fla. and John (Kathy) Bond of Springfield; seven grandchildren, Wilbur, Doug, Gina, Rob, Dave, Chrissy and John; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Doris Calvert of Mesa, Ariz.; a brother, Harold Vollmer of New Straitsville; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, John Bush, and his sister, Bertha Ledford.
She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Frederick and Roy Vollmer.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Jackson Lytle & Ingling Williams Funeral Home, Springfield.
Interment will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.

ROBERT WAYNE MARTIN
Robert Wayne Martin, 61, Glouster, died Thursday, April 27 at his residence.
Born Nov. 219, 1938, Athens County, he was the son of Mabel McClellan Martin of Glouster and the late James W. Martin.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Sunday at Cardaras Funeral Home, Glouster.
Burial will be in Maplewood cemetery, Glouster.

MILDRED HELENE REED
Mildred Helene Reed, 72, Laurelville, died Friday, April 28 at her residence following a brief illness.
Born Jan. 13, 1928, Lawrence County, daughter of the late John and Ethel Margret Kelly Webb, she was married
to Emmett Reed, who survives.
She was a homemaker.
Also surviving are three sons, William B. (Carol) Reed of Tampa, Fla., Daniel L. (Sherry) Reed of Holbrook, Ariz. and James E. Reed of Laurelville; two daughters, Mrs. Timothy (Laura S.) Oatney of Lancaster and Mrs. Brian (Judith A.) Reed-Barton of Laurelville; six grandchildren; six brothers, Robert Webb of Springfield, Mich., Kenneth Webb of Coal Grove, John Webb of West Jefferson, Jack Webb of Coal Grove, Steven Webb of New Hampshire and Ronald Webb of Ohio; and two sisters, Rosemary Simmons of Pontiac, Mich. and Ruth Moore of Chesapeake.
She also was preceded in death by a brother, Norman Webb.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Roberts Funeral Home with the Rev. Gregory C. Magruder officiating.
Burial will be in Floral Hills Memory Gardens, Lancaster.

JOHN BLAKE JR.
John Michael-Patrick Blake Jr., 48, Logan, died unexpectedly Saturday, April 29 at his residence.
Born August 19, 1951, Washington, son of Elizabeth A. (Vanorman) Blake of Pennsylvania and the late John Michael Blake Sr., he was married
to Beverly Ann Blake, who survives.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. He had been an assistant manager in the dairy department for the Pathmark Supermarkets General in Pennsylvania for 20 years.
He attended St. Paul Episcopal Church, Logan.
Also surviving are two daughters, Delta Renee Blake of Lancaster, and Mrs. Robert (Wendy Lou) Campbell Jr. of Logan; one sister, Mrs. Richard (Gail) DeAngelo of Pennsylvania; two grandchildren, Amber Renee Campbell of Logan; and Ian McKenzie Campbell of Logan; one niece, Melissa DeAngelo of Pennsylvania; and one nephew, Shawn DeAngelo of Pennsylvania.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Roberts Funeral Home, Logan, with the Rev. J. Michael Jupin officiating.
Burial will be in Oak Grove cemetery, Logan.

Galena Rose Huddy, 76, Nelsonville, died Friday, April 28 at her residence.
Born Feb. 10, 1924, Haydenville, the daughter of the late Simon and Ida Lehman Bond, she was the widow of Carl Huddy.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today at the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, Nelsonville, with the Rev. Dave Cogar officiating.
Interment will be at Connett cemetery, Nelsonville.
LOIS MARIE KOON
Lois Marie Koon, 73, The Plains, died Saturday, April 29 at O'Bleness Memorial Hospital.
Born Aug. 23, 1926, Kent, daughter of the late Joseph Kelly and Ethel Marie Carlisle Kelly, she was married
to Arthur (Ott) Koon, who survives.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, Nelsonville, with the Rev. John Johnson officiating.
Interment will be in Greenlawn cemetery.

THEODOCIA LOUISE SINNEMA
Theodocia Louise Sinnema, 84, Nelsonville, formerly of Berea, died Friday, April 28 at Doctors Hospital, Nelsonville.
Born March 24, 1916, Steubenville, daughter of Abraham Smith and Ethel West Smith, she was the widow of Martin Sinnema.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
No calling hours will be observed.
Arrangements are by the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, Nelsonville.
THOMAS E. TIGNER
Thomas E. Tigner, 96, Nelsonville, died Sunday, April 30 at Hickory Creek Nursing Home.
Born April 4, 1904, Nelsonville, son of the late John Tigner and the late Katherine Bumgardner Tigner Russell, he was the widower of Leta Faye Collins Tigner.
Private graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Greenlawn cemetery, Nelsonville.
Friends may call at the cemetery from 12:30 to 1 p.m.
