Daniel A. Hartley, 61, McConnelsville, formerly of Trimble, died Wednesday, June 14 at his residence.
Born July 10, 1938, Morgan County, son of the late William and Mae Williams Hartley, he was married
to Donna Noland Hartley, who survives.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at Cardaras Funeral Home, Glouster.
Interment will be in the Hilltop cemetery, Millfield.

JOSEPH HORVATH
Joseph R. Horvath, 85, Nelsonville, died Thursday, June 15 at Doctors Hospital North, Columbus.
Born Aug. 24, 1914, Murray City, son of the late Louis and Elizabeth Nidermier Horvath, he was married
to Eula Lee Horvath, who survives.
Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Warren-Brown Funeral Home, Nelsonville.
Burial will be in Greenlawn cemetery.

DANNY MERZ
Danny Merz, 67, Buchtel, died Thursday, June 15 at the Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus.
Born April 17, 1933, Buchtel, son of the late Denver and Anna Risko Merz, he was married
to Susann D. Kieffer Merz, who survives.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, Nelsonville.
Burial will be in Greenlawn cemetery.

ISABELL W. VAUGHN
Isabell W. Vaughn, 89, Lancaster, formerly of Glouster and Florida, died Wednesday, June 14 at Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster.
Born June 20, 1910, Athens County, daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Howard Waldeck, she was the widow of Charles C. Vaughn.
She was a member of the Nelsonville Chapter of the Eastern Star.
Surviving are two sons, Bill (JoAnn) Vaughn of Logan and Vero Beach, Fla., and Dean (Linda) Vaughn of Lancaster; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Marguerite Seifert of Toledo, Garnet Trace of Glouster and Elizabeth Brooks of Terre Haute, Ind.
She also was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday in Maplewood cemetery, Glouster, with Pastor Steven Bentley officiating.
No calling hours will be observed.
The family suggests contributions be made to Hospice of Hocking County, P.O. Box 527, Logan, Ohio 43138.

EDNA G. COTTRILL
Edna Cottrill, 85, Logan, died Thursday, June 15 at Hocking Valley Community Hospital.
Born Feb. 1, 1915, New Plymouth, daughter of the late George W. and Mary E. McConaha Carte, she was the widow of Raymond E. Cottrill, who died Aug. 5, 1979.
She was retired from Smead Manufacturing Company at the age of 78, after 30 years of service.
Cottrill is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Willis (Harriett) Dicken of Logan; grandchildren, David Dicken; Doug (Cyndi) Dicken; Mrs. Rodney (Robin) Carr and Mrs. Keith (Rachel) Leffler all of Logan; great-grandchildren, Alex, Mackenzie, Laura, Lucy and Sam; all of Logan; a sister, Mrs. William (Mary) Fuller of New Plymouth, a brother, George "Rudy" (Joyce) Carter of Duncan, S.C.; a sister-in-law, Nora Mae Carter of New Plymouth; and a brother-in-law, Charles Barton of Seabreeze, Fla.
She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Hollis and Richard Carter; and two sisters, Hazel Eggleston and Ruth Barton.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Sunday at Heinlein Brown Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Hoffman officiating.
Burial will be in Asbury cemetery, Hocking County.

VIRGIL P. FRYBURGER
Virgil P. Fryburger, 89, Cincinnati, died Thursday, June 15 at Seasons Courtyard Nursing Home.
Born July 2, 1910, Cozaddale, son of the late George and Emma Grover Fryburger, he was married
to Mary Margaret Mount Fryburger, who survives.
Private graveside services will be held at Rest Haven cemetery in Blue Ash.
No calling hours will be observed.

JEFFREY V. MCCLELLAND
Jeffrey V. McClelland, 39, New Straitsville, died Wednesday, June 14, at Wilkens Corner, Licking County.
Born Nov. 29, 1969, he was the son of Roger (Betty) Miller McClelland and Dave and Judy Morris Craig, all of New Straitsville.
He was a member of the 82nd Airborne, United States Army and a 1979 graduate of Trimble High School, where he earned all-state running back and Tri-Valley Conference most valuable player honors.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a grandmother, Eileen McClelland of Glouster; a son, Vaughn Joshua of Pennsylvania; three daughters, Megan, Danielle, Judy Ann, all of Newark; his ex-wife Susie McClelland of Newark; five brothers, Mike Collins, Terry Collins, Shane Collins, Dave Brown, Dale Brown; and special friends, L.R. Faries III; Carl Fouts III and Sam Jones II.
He also was preceded in death by three grandfathers, William R. McClelland, Homer V. Morris and Andrew Spencer; a grandmother, Clara Spencer; and two brothers Donnie Peart and Jeff Collins.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at J.E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Shawnee, with Minister John Robison officiating.
Burial will be in New Straitsville cemetery.

VIVIAN JO TRACY
Vivian Jo Tracy, 76, Grove City, died Thursday, June 15, in the Monterey Care Center, following a brief illness.
Born Aug. 3, 1923, Logan, she was the daughter of the late Ray Edward and Susie Eleanor Davis McDonald.
She was a former secretary and receptionist having worked for the Logan chapter of the American Red Cross and served as the receptionist for the former Leonard-Lyke Funeral Home in Logan.
She also was a member of the Logan Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving are a son, John H. (Connie) Tracy of Grove City; two grandsons, Joshua Tracy and Justin Tracy, both of Grove City; a sister, Janet (Jack) Hampp of Grove City; several nieces and nephews, cousins; and a large church family.
She also was preceded in death by two sisters, Faye M. Bolin and Retha Perez.
Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Logan Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Thomas L. Gates II, officiating.
Burial will be in Smith Chapel cemetery in Green Township.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 Sunday at Roberts Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. until time of services Monday at the church.
JOHN O. MILLER
John O. Miller, 47, Shawnee, died Saturday, June 17 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Zanesville.
Born May 7, 1953, Zanesville, he was the son of Regina Bowman Miller of Shawnee and the late John L. Miller.
A United States Army veteran, he was a former member of Zanesville V.F.W. Post 1058 and a member of the Iron Point Community Church.
Also surviving are three sons, Raymond (Amber) Miller of Albany, Mike (Emily) Cinquepalmi of New Lexington and William Miller of Nelsonville; three brothers, Leonard (Wilma) Miller of New Lexington, Dale (Bonnie) Miller of Newark and Kenny Miller of Junction City; three sisters, Mrs. Donald (Marlene) Fisher of Glenford and Alicia Woofter and Debbie Mouton, both of Shawnee; three grandchildren, Alexandria Davis, Jordon Miller and Gabriel Miller; several nieces and nephews; and very special friend, Evelyn Ann Altier of Corning.
He also was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Daniel Woofter.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Iron Point Community Church with the Rev. Kenny Dillion officiating.
Interment will be in Shawnee cemetery.

FRANK W. BOWLBY
Frank W. Bowlby, 94, Logan, died Wednesday, June 21 at Hocking Valley Community Hospital.
Born Nov. 20, 1905, Hocking County, son of the late William and Sophia Mohler Bowlby, he was the widower of Grace L. Dieble Bowlby, who died July 7, 1987.
A welder and in the metal finishing department of Kaiser-Jeep in Toledo for 26 years, he attended the First Church of Christ.
Surviving are a brother, Carl Bowlby of Lancaster; two sisters, Hazel Reynolds and Jennie Huber, both of Logan; and several nieces and nephews.
He also was preceded in death by four brothers, Pearl, Charley, Valley and Harry Bowlby; and three sisters, Louella Bowlby, Ruth McManus, and Letha North.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home with Minister Vernon W. Barrell officiating.
Burial will be in Oak Grove cemetery.

MINNIE MAE DYER
Minnie Mae Dyer, 87, Circleville, died Thursday, June 22 at Berger Hospital.
Born Aug. 20, 1912, Starr, daughter of the late John and Flossie Wolfe Allen, she was the widow of Harold Dyer.
Surviving are one son, David Dyer of Rockbridge; one daughter, Betty Barnes of Circleville; a brother, Benjamin Allen of Nelsonville; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Dyer; one daughter-in-law, Janis Dyer; one son-in-law, Wallace Barnes; four brothers, Harley, Charles, Frank and Jess Allen; and two sisters, Estye and Mabel Allen.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday at Oliver Funeral Home, 420 W. Main, Ashville, with the Rev. Ervin Kirk officiating.
Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. at Walnut Grove cemetery.
