LYDA R. KORNMILLER
Lyda R. Kornmiller, 59, Rockbridge, died Wednesday, July 21 at Hocking Valley Community Hospital.
Born Sept. 4, 1940, Baltimore, daughter of the late Ernest Baker and Mary Powell Baker, she was married
to Earl J. Kornmiller, who survives.
Retired from the Logan-Hocking School District after 17 years of service, she was a member of First Church Praise and Worship Center and First Church Ladies Auxiliary.
Also surviving are three sons, Brad (Chris) Kornmiller of Rockbridge, Mark Kornmiller of Nelsonville and Tim Kornmiller of Logan; one daughter, Mrs. Howard (Penny) Zlatkind of Rockbridge; 13 grandchildren, Joshua, Angelia, Patty, Eugene, Christa, Dylan, Angela, Sarah, Alissa and Sidney Kornmiller, Rachael, Erika and Bradi Zlatkind; seven great-grandchildren; four brothers, Robert (Jean) Baker of Houston, Texas, Charles (Donna) Baker of Madisonville, Tenn., David (Marge) Baker Sr. of Logan and Phillip (Audrey) Baker of Pickerington; and two sisters, Leoma Harden of Rockbridge and Mrs. Ron (Faith) Hurst of Mansfield.
She also was preceded in death by a grandson, Jeremy Ray Kornmiller, and one sister, Sharlet Baker.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday at First Church Praise and Worship Center with the Rev. Michael L. Martin officiating.
Burial will be in St. John Lutheran cemetery.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Saturday at Heinlein-Brown Funeral home and one hour prior to services Sunday at the church.
CARL LEWIS MOCK
Carl Lewis Mock, 77, Logan, died Friday, June 23 at his residence.
Born Dec. 22, 1922, Logan, son of the late Louis C. and Lena Marie Petty Mock, he was the husband of Ethel "Susie" Goss Mock, who survives.
A World War II veteran, he was a member of West Pleasant Hill United Brethren Church, the American Legion, VFW-DAV of Logan and the Blind Veterans Association of Washington D.C.
Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Russel (Leona) M. Mason of Logan and Mrs. Leola M. Brantley of Tampa, Fla., and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Cardaras Funeral Home, Logan, with Pastor Ernie Hammond officiating.
Burial will be in Fairview cemetery, Rockbridge. Military graveside services will be provided by the Combined Veterans of Hocking County.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 Sunday.

DONALD AARON THOMPSON
Donald Aaron Thompson, 41, Logan, died Friday, June 23 at his residence.
Born Nov. 18, 1958, Athens County, son of Clifford E. and Colleen J. Wilkes Thompson of Logan, he was the husband of Debra G. Sampson Thompson, who survives.
Retired from General Electric, he was a member of the First Church of Christ in Logan, Local No. 1017, Logan Moose Lodge and an avid girl's basketball coach and fan.
Also surviving are three daughters, Kristin Jane Thompson, Erin Rene Thompson and Kayla Reese Thompson, all of the home; three brothers, David Thompson of New Straitsville, Randy Thompson of The Plains and John Thompson of Rockbridge; one sister, Cathy Thompson of Logan; and a father-in-law and mother-in-law, George M. and Charlotte Sampson of Cape Coral, Fla.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday at Cardaras Funeral Home, Logan, with Pastor Vernon Barrell officiating.
Burial will be in Oak Grove cemetery.

DENNIS F. HELBER
Dennis F. Helber, 48, Gahanna, formerly of Logan, died Saturday, June 24 at his residence.
Born July 2, 1951, Logan, son of Olive M. Rarrick Helber and the late Gilbert F. Helber, he was married
to Joyce E. McClain Helber, who survives.
Retired from the city of Columbus, he was a ceramic engineer in Florence, Ala., and a former Logan police officer.
A 1969 graduate of Logan High School and a 1979 graduate of Hocking College, he was a 25-year member of the Marion Grange.
Also surviving are his father and mother-in-law, John and Lenore McClain of Union Furnace.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cardaras Funeral Home with the Rev. Clarence Thompson officiating.
Burial will be in Oak Grove cemetery.

GOLDIE L. WOLFE
Goldie L. Wolfe, 71, Nelsonville, died Saturday, June 24 at Pine Hills Continuous Care Center, Nelsonville.
Born September 14, 1928, Marengo, she was the daughter of the late Ed and Birdie Russell Mash.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. today at Warren-Brown Funeral Home.
Burial will be in New Marshfield cemetery.
WILBUR C. BRAY
Wilbur C. Bray, 85, Logan, died Friday, June 23 at Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus.
Born October 3, 1914, Carbondale, son of the late James Blaine and Lydia Sturgill Bray, he was married
for 51 years to Dolly M. Largent Bray, who survives.
A member of the Lancaster Pilgrim Church, he also attended the Elm Street Mission in Logan.
Also surviving are two daughters, Carolyn Kay Wilkins of Columbus and Mrs. Arnold (Mary Margaret) Duncan of Knoxville, Tenn; five sisters, Paulette Ogg of Clinton, Eleanor Ross of Union Furnace, Nora Largent of Clinton, Mrs. David (Alma) Queen of Detroit and Mrs. Louis (Bonnie) Korum of Chicago; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four sisters-in-law, Margaret, Louise and Manetta Bray and Lilly Nipper.
He also was preceded in death by his first wife, Genevieve Ogg Bray; two sons, Russell and Gary Bray; a grandson, Russell Huffman; four brothers, Harold, Ronald, Vernon and James Bray; and two sisters, Mary Wolfe and Eileen Jenkins.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at Coonville Holiness Mission with the Revs. David Neville, David Scott and James R. Mathias officiating.
Burial will be in New Marshfield cemetery.

BRENDA KAY BALLINGER
Brenda Kay Ballinger, 53, Logan, died Tuesday, June 27 at the Skilled Nursing Unit at Hocking Valley Community Hospital, after a brief illness.
Born Oct. 5, 1946, Union Furnace, daughter of James Lloyd and Janice Arlene McVey Stewart of Logan, she was married
to Gary Lee Ballinger, who survives.
A homemaker and caregiver, she was a member of the Ladies Bible Class at Union Furnace United Methodist Church and the Town and Country Extension Club.
Also surviving are a son, Garren (Jan) Ballinger of Logan; two daughters, Mrs. Kim (Bridget A.) Walker and Brooke Ballinger and fiancé, Jason Zimmerman, all of Logan; five grandchildren, Stacey and Kyle Walker, Erica and Lance Ballinger and Cole Ballinger; two brothers, Eric Lloyd Stewart and Guy (Malei A.) Stewart of Logan; two sisters, Mrs. Mark A. (Shelly S.) Shaw of Logan and Mrs. Tim (Jamie) Bush of Baltimore; mother-in-law, Dorothy A. Ballinger of Logan; and sister-in-law, Mrs. William (Shirley) Grove of Logan.
She was preceded in death by grandparents, John and Madge McVey and James and Oma Stewart; father-in-law, Orville Ballinger; and special aunt, Emma Jane Cramer.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at Roberts Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert E. Dauber officiating.
Burial will be in New Fairview Memorial Gardens.

KATHRYN EILEEN MORELOCK
Kathryn Eileen Brooks Morelock, 74, Logan, died Thursday, June 29 at her residence following an extended illness.
Born Aug. 15, 1925, York Township, Athens County, daughter of the late William and Mabel Hitchings Gleason, she was the widow of Hubert C. "Red" Morelock, who died June 9, 1987.
She had retired from Super Thrift Store, was a member of Smith-Chapel United Methodist Church, a member of Amvets Auxiliary, (where she served as treasurer), and a former member of the Logan Business and Professional Women's Club. She also was a former Avon representative, a volunteer at Arcadia Acres Nursing Home and was involved with the Southeastern Ohio Prison Ministries.
Surviving are three sons, Gerald W. "Butch" O'Haver Jr., James R. (Patricia E.) Brooks and Charles E. (Mary A.) Brooks Jr., all of Logan; two daughters, Mrs. Lewis (Diana L.) Campbell and Mrs. James E. (Tina M.) Warthman, both of Logan; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Bill (Kathy) Gleason of Englewood; one sister, Flo Lowry of Logan; a brother-in law and sister-in-law, Paul and Rita Brooks MacCombs of The Plains; a brother-in-law, Daniel T. Brooks of Logan; an aunt, Margaret Swallow of Maryland; a special caregiver, Sharon Foss of Buchtel; and several nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles E. Brooks, who died Jan. 17, 1981, and two sisters, Bessie Osterfeld and Elsie June Gleason.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Sunday at Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Eldon MacCombs officiating.
Burial will be in Smith-Chapel cemetery, Green Township.

Mildred H. Moyer, 82, Columbus died Wednesday, June 28 at Kobacker House, Columbus.
Born Oct. 6, 1917, Millersburg, daughter of the late John and Laura Ling Stevens, she was the widow of Robert Moyer.
Private services will be held at the family's discretion.

LUCILLE ANTLE
Lucille Y. Antle, 79, Bishopville, died Thursday, June 29 at O'Bleness Memorial Hospital, Athens.
Born Dec. 20, 1920, Mitchel, S.D., daughter of the late Howard and Verle Lehman Gifford, she was the widow of Chester Antle.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Cardaras Funeral Home, Glouster.
Interment will be in Maplewood cemetery, Glouster.

FRANK JOSEPH MARINKO
Frank Joseph Marinko, 42, Walled Lake, Mich., died Thursday, June 29 at Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital, Mich.
Son of Lemma Jean Lloyd Marinko of Logan and the late Joseph A. Marinko, he was married
to Cindy Gosney Marinko, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Jerome Marinko of Walled Lake, Mich.; stepchildren, David, Jennifer, Bryan and Danielle, all of Walled Lake, Mich.; a sister, Mrs. Jerry (Julie) Plunk of Jackson, Tenn.; a brother, Les (Karen) Marinko of Troy, Mich.; and a niece, Jennifer Marinko of Troy, Mich.
He also was preceded in death by a sister, Bliss Ann Marinko.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Lynch and Sons Funeral Home, Walled Lake, Mich.
Graveside services will be conducted by Roberts Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Oak Grove cemetery.
