Stanley T. Fitzgerald
Stanley T. Fitzgerald, 97 of North Ridgeville died on Thursday, April 28, 2005 at Northridge Health Center in North Ridgeville, OH following a short illness.
Mr. Fitzgerald was born on March 18, 1908 in Cleveland, OH and lived in the Lorain area since 1936. He attended the Church of The Open Door in Elyria.
After WW II he worked for Gulf Oil Company as a salesman. He then owned and operated Stan's Delicatessen on 21st Street from 1950 -1954. He finished his working career working for Independent Oil in North Ridgeville delivering fuel oil. He retired in 1970.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 552, now known as Black River Lodge 786 F & AM. He received his 60 year membership pin several years ago.
Mr. Fitzgerald enjoyed golf, reading, watching sports, especially the Indians and being with his late wife.
He is survived by sons; Patrick R. Fitzgerald of Temple Terrace, FL and W. Dale Fitzgerald of Elyria, sister Betty Guenther of The Villages, FL.
Mr. Fitzgerald was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth H. (nee Wallace) Fitzgerald on July 15, 2001, daughters Susan Gail Fitzgerald, Judith Ann Fitzgerald, his parents Patrick Edward and Elizabeth (nee Sanford) Fitzgerald, brother Charles Fitzgerald and sisters, Margaret Kerwin and Marie Moosbrugger.
Friends may call at the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home For Funerals, 1124 W. 5th Street, Lorain, Ohio 44052 on Friday, May 6 from noon until 1:00 pm. Masonic Memorial services will be at 12:30 pm in the funeral home. A graveside service will follow visitation at Ridge Hill Memorial Park cemetery, Amherst Township.
The Rev. Walter Leonard will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park cemetery, Amherst Township.
Edward J. Brady
Edward J. Brady, 83 of Lorain died late Sunday afternoon, October 2, 2005, at the New Life Hospice Center at St. Joseph following a brief illness.
Mr. Brady was born on November 16, 1921, in Lorain and was a lifelong resident. He attended Bowling Green University.
He was a veteran of the US Army serving during WW II. He was a sergeant assigned to the 443rd Military Police Prisoner of War Processing Company. He was involved in the battles at Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes and the Rhineland. He earned the EAME Campaign Medal with 4 Bronze Stars, the Good Conduct medal with 3 overseas Service Bars.
Mr. Brady retired in 1984 as a machinist from B.F. Goodrich after 20 years of service. He enjoyed fishing. He maintained a Backyard Wild Bird Habitat and enjoyed all the wild birds that lived there.
He is survived by his wife Betty Jane (nee Bumke) Brady, to whom he was married
on April 29, 1950. He is also survived by a daughter Susan Haas of Louisville, KY, sons Kenneth Brady of Houston, TX, Daniel Brady of Sheffield Lake, Edward Brady of Milford, OH and 5 grandchildren.
Mr. Brady was preceded in death by his parents Edward James and Freda Marie (nee Esterle) Brady and a sister June Fisher.
Funeral services and burial was private.

Hazel (Jean) Arlow
Hazel (Jean) Arlow, 77 of Lorain passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2005 at the Gaymont Nursing Center in Norwalk following a long illness.
Mrs. Arlow was born on June 19, 1927 in Pittsburgh, PA and has lived in Lorain since 1950. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Heritage Presbyterian Church and the Hobby Shop Ladies Group at the church. She was also a volunteer at Lorain Community Hospital.
Mrs. Arlow is survived by three sons, David of Bay Village, Jack of Springdale, ARK, and William of Chaffee, NY and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband William J. Arlow on March 4, 1977.

Nancy J. Hilton
Nancy J. (nee Schmidt) Hilton, 43 of Medina formerly of Lorain died on Saturday, May 28, 2005, unexpectedly.
Ms. Hilton was born on November 11, 1961, in Lorain, OH and had lived in Lorain until 2 1/2 years ago when she moved to Medina. She was a graduate of Lorain Admiral King High School and had completed two years of study at Lorain County Community College.
She was an administrative secretary for 14 years at Lorain Correctional Institute. She enjoyed roller skating and the out-of-doors.
Ms. Hilton is survived by her son, Nathan D. Hilton at home, daughter, Misty A. Rollins of Shakopee, MN, mother Josephine M (nee Depaola) Schmidt of Lorain, brothers John J. Schmidt of Oberlin, Russell A. Schmidt of Cartersville, GA and Robert R. Schmidt.
She was preceded in death by her father Russell R. Schmidt in 1976.

Kathleen N. Jackson
Kathleen M. Jackson, 44 (nee Whitaker) of Lorain passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2005 at Elyria Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
Mrs. Jackson was born on March 28, 1961 in Lorain and lived most of her life in Lorain. She was a graduate of Lorain High School Class of 1979. She was employed as a mold operator at Elyria Plastics.
She is survived by two sons; James Whitaker of Lorain and Terry L. Jackson of Avon, her mother Wanda D. (nee McCormack) of Lorain, brothers; Keith Whitaker and Larry McCoy both of Lorain and sister Tracy Hubbard of Lorain.
She is preceded in death by her father Henry Whitaker and a sister Debra Nelson.

George A. Kosco
George A. Kosco, 95 of Lorain died on Thursday, June 23, 2005 at New Life Hospice Center at St. Joseph in Lorain, OH following a long illness.
Mr. Kosco was born on May 19, 1910 in Niagara, WI. He was retired from the hot mill at US Steel in Lorain. He retired in the mid 1970's after 47 years service. He was a member of the Church Of The Open Door, Elyria.
He was a member of the Steelworkers Union and it's retiree's. He enjoyed bowling and bowled on leagues. He and his wife experienced the first air conditioning in the US at the 1930's New York World Fair while in an exhibit called "World of Tomorrow." he enjoyed traveling and 45 years of playing golf with his wife.
Mr. Kosco is survived by his wife of 67 years, Wilma G. (nee Orban) Kosco, and a sister Irene Parrett of Lorain.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother John Kosco, and his sister Mary Taksar.

Robert M. Hilton
Robert M. Hilton, Jr, 24 of Lorain passed away on Friday, September 23, 2005, at his father's home following a lifelong battle with cystic fibrosis.
Mr. Hilton was born on October 5, 1980, in Lorain and was a lifelong resident. He attended the Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Lorain.
He was a NASCAR enthusiast, a big fan of the late Dale Ernhardt, enjoyed working on cars, skating and rollerblading.
He is survived by his wife, Holly A. (nee Coutch) Hilton, father Robert M. Hilton, Sr of Lorain, mother Victoria Salva of Lorain, brothers, Jason and Nathan Hilton both of Lorain, sister Tracy Norton of Lorain, maternal grandmother Rev. Virginia Salva of Lorain, paternal grandfather Danny Lake of Shaker Heights, OH and several aunts and uncles.
Mr. Hilton was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Jackie Lake in 1999 and a maternal grandfather John Salva in 2005.

Vera Grace St. Aubin
Vera Grace St. Aubin, 92, (nee McNary) of Lorain passed away Monday, September 15, 2008 at Kingston of Vermilion, in Vermilion after a brief illness.
She was born in Lorain on December 12, 1916, the daughter of the late Frank A. and Allie (nee Pollinger) McNary.
In 1981, she retired from Lorain Products in Lorain after 26 years as an assembler.
Mrs. St. Aubin was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church serving on the Altar Guild and was a Sunday School Teacher.
Her hobbies included music, movies, going to the theater, and watching the Cleveland Indians. She enjoyed bowling until the age 75.
She is survived by a son Jeff A. (Donna) St. Aubin, a daughter Joyce E. St. Aubin both of Lorain, 2 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and a brother Ralph G (Mary Ann) McNary of Lorain. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by sisters Irene H. Denman, Edith McNary, and Mildred E. Krok, brothers Clarence F. McNary and Earl L. McNary.
