SHEFFIELD LAKE, OH – Joan A. Roth (nee Thauvette), 73, of Sheffield Lake passed away Saturday, April 03, 2004 at University Hospital, Cleveland following a short illness. Joan was born February 25, 1931 in Cleveland and graduated from West Tech High School in 1948. She moved to Sheffield Lake 16 1/2 years ago. Mrs. Roth was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Sheffield Lake, and the Ladies Guild of the Church. She enjoyed playing Bingo, family gatherings and children.
Mrs. Roth is survived by her husband of 54 years, George; four daughters, Ellen Mack of Sheffield Lake; Mary Durell of West Salem; Therese Hnanicek of Sheffield Lake; and Catherine Thauvette of Sheffield Lake; six sons, Mark Roth of Cleveland; Stephen Roth of Westlake; Joseph Roth of Medina; Gregory Roth of North Olmsted; Timothy Roth of Westlake and Daniel Roth of Savage, Minnesota; 27 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; two sisters. Alice Caffrey of Cleveland and Diane Buckner of Valley City; and a brother, Ricky Thauvette of Brunswick. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Suzanne (nee Kasper) Thauvette; 2 sisters, Shirley Thauvette and Patsy MacIntyre and 2 brothers, Lloyd Thauvette and David Thauvette.

Clarence Schultz, Sr. – 76 of Lorain, formerly of Yuma, Arizona and Valinda California, passed away, Sunday, may 23 at his home from cancer. Mr. Schultz was born January 30, 1928 in Cleveland and had lived in Valinda California from 1970 to 1993, he then moved to Yuma Arizona where he lived until moving to Lorain 3 years ago.
Mr. Schultz worked as a welder for Mooney Iron Works, Cleveland and in for Utility Trailer, City of Industry, California. He enjoyed fishing, sports and camping.
His wife of 52 years, Anna (nee Donna) Shultz, passed away in 2000. He is survived by 2 daughters, Barbara Sloan of Yuma Arizona and Jackie Gadboise (Joe) of Lorain; son Clarence Schultz, Jr., (Kathy) of Avon Lake. Other survivors include 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and a brother Roland Schultz of Lorain. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Anna (nee Prohaska) Schultz and a sister Paulette Panisiak and brother Donald Lewis Schultz.
Friends may call at the Busch-Burmeister Family Chapel, Tuesday, May 25, from 6:00-9:00pm. All services will be at the funeral home, Wednesday, May 26 at 11:00am. Rev. Sheffield Lake, OH- Keyser, Thomas James, age 57, of Sheffield Lake, passed away Wednesday May, 26, 2004 at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center, Lorain following a sudden illness. He was born September 8, 1947 in Lorain and lived in Sheffield Lake most of his life. He was a 1965 graduate of Brookside High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam and was stationed in Morocco as a radio communicator. Thomas was retired after 28 years of employment as an assembler with Ford Motor Company, Lorain. He was currently working for the Diamond Group doing airport security at Cleveland Hopkins Airport. He enjoyed his grandchildren.
Mr. Keyser is survived by his wife Jennifer (nee Cochrane), whom he married
in 1966. He is also survived by two daughters, Dawn Schwartz and Diahann Keyser both of North Ridgeville; three grandsons, and a brother Russell Keyser of Avon Lake. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Mary (nee Maxon) Keyser.

Avon, OH - Wilcox, William Ernest, age 76, of Avon, passed away Monday May 31, 2004 at Life Care Center of Medina following a four month illness. He was born September 2, 1927 in Lakewood and was a 1945 graduate of Lakewood High School and attended Kent State University. He served in the U.S. Army from 1946-1948. William was self-employed for Wilcox and Associates as a manufacturer’s representative for forty years. Mr. Wilcox was a 32nd Degree Mason with a Lakewood Lodge. He enjoyed boating and golfing. He moved to Avon from Bay Village two years ago.
Mr. Wilcox is survived by a daughter, Kathy Haaning (Kurt) of Fishers, Indiana and a son, Jim Wilcox (Karen) of Avon Lake; four grandchildren, Kaitlin, Ryan, Kyle and Casey. He was preceded in death in March by his wife Jacqueline F. (nee Swilik); and by his parents, William Ernest Wilcox, Jr. and Esther Wilcox (nee Kyle) .
