Evelyn Jean Hoff
Evelyn Jean Hoff, 43 of Lorain died on Thursday, June 2, 2005 at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH following a brief illness.
Ms. Hoff was born on September 17, 1961 in Lorain, OH and was a lifelong resident. She was a 1980 graduate of Lorain High School. She was employed by AmeriTemp assigned to Shiloh Industries as a parts handler.
Ms. Hoff loved animals and had worked for several animal clinics. She also had rescued several animals and cared for them at her home. In additon to loving animals, she enjoyed country music.
She is survived by her daughters Jennifer Penny of Lorain, Christine Penny at home, son, Roy Penny of Lorain, 2 grandchildren, mother Evelyn C (nee Morris) Hoff of Lorain, brother William Hoff of Lorain, half-Sister Diana Hoff of Vermilion, half-Brothers Dave and Russ Hoff both of Vermilion, Richard Hoff Sr of Missouri.
Ms. Hoff is preceded in death by her father Offutt Hoff in 2000.

Burial will be in the Ridge Hill Memorial Park cemetery Amherst Township. Following the services the family will hold a reception at the Calvary Baptist Church, 550 Sixth Street, Lorain.

Lenora R. Holfelder
Lenora R. Holfelder age 80, died on Friday, December 30th, 2005 at Anchor Lodge Nursing Home in Lorain, OH.
Lenora was born on September 11, 1925 in Lorain, OH.
She was a Registered Nurse having graduated from the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing. She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ.
Lenora is survived by her three daughters, Kimberly Halitzka, of Lorain, Raetta Maurer, of Marion, OH and Marti Stich, of Berea and her son, Fred, of Wellington; 7 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded by her Husband Fred in 1997, Parents Dr. Myron and Goldie (nee Homan) Kishman, Brother Dr. William Kishman and an infant son, Brian.
Friends may call at Schwartz, Spence, Boyer and Cool Home for Funerals in Lorain, OH, on Sunday January 1, 2006 from 12:00 Noon until time of the services at 1 P.M. with her Grandson Rev. David Maurer officiating.
Graveside services will be Tuesday at 11 A.M. at Ridge Hill Memorial Park cemetery, Amherst Township.

Dorthea Mae Horne
Miss Dorthea Mae Horne, age 85 died on Friday, December 30, 2005, at New Life Hospice Center at St. Joseph in Lorain, OH.
Miss Horne was born on June 17, 1920, in Lorain, OH and was a life long resident of the area. She had attended Oberlin Business College.
Miss Horne had been employed as a clerk for the B & O Railroad. She was a member of Cornerstone Methodist Church where she had served as financial secretary, and was a member of Queen City Chapter of Eastern Star.
She was a fan of the Cleveland Indians, Browns, enjoyed golf and bowling.
Miss Horne is survived by sister Roxie Lee Teare of Toledo, 8 Nieces, and 3 Nephews.
She was preceded by her parents Harold H. and Bernice (nee Billingsley) Horne.

Stanley C. " Bud" Johnson
Stanley C. " Bud" Johnson, 66 of Lorain died early Sunday morning, November 13, 2005, at Community Health Partners and Surgical Center in Lorain following a long illness.
Mr. Johnson was born in Lorain, OH on April 16, 1939. He was a lifelong resident of Lorain. He was a graduate of Lorain High School and a US Air Force veteran. He was a member of the St. John United Church of Christ in Lorain.
He worked as a machinist at American Crucible retiring in 2002 after 38 years of service. He was an avid Ohio State University fan, enjoyed all Cleveland area sports teams and liked to hunt and fish.
Mr. Johnson is survived by daughters: Pamela Jenkins of Savannah, GA, sons: Richard Johnson of Amherst, OH and Michael D. Johnson of New Port Ritchey, FL, step daughter: Deborah Standen of Lorain, 5 grandchildren, sisters: Katherine Plumb of Lorain and Marlene Koethe of Columbus, OH.
He was preceded in death by his parents Stanley and Dorothy (nee Ehrlich) Johnson.

Charles R. Knight
Charles R "Dick" Knight 83, of Lorain died on Wednesday, August 3, 2005, at Mill Manor Nursing Home in Vermilion, OH following a brief illness.
Mr. Knight was born on February 20, 1922, in Lorain, OH living here all of his life. He graduated in the class of 1940A from Lorain High School.
He entered into the Army on October 1942. He served with the 974th Engineer Maintenance Company, receiving the Good Conduct Medal, American Theater Service Medal, European African Middle Eastern Service Medal with 4 Bronze Stars.
Mr. Knight worked as a mechanic with SBS Transportation until his retirement in 1984. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the VFW Post # 1079 in Elyria. He enjoyed woodworking and crossword puzzles.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Angela J (nee DeMarco) Knight, his three daughters, Patricia Ann Hennes of Akron, OH, Grace Marie Knight of Lorain, OH, and Barbara Jo Sanborn of Lorain, OH, his four sons, Charles Arthur Knight of Erie, PA, Michael Anthony Knight of Olmsted Falls, OH, Richard Anthony Knight of Dallas, TX, and William Paul Knight of Lorain, OH, 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren
Mr. Knight is preceded in death by a granddaughter Leslie Knight, parents Charles W. and Veletta (nee Meade) Knight, brothers Paul Knight and William Knight, and sisters Jean Stitak and Jacqueline Swable.
Visitation is Friday, August 5, 2005, from 4-8 P.M. in the Schwartz, Spence, Boyer & Cool Home for Funerals, 1124 West 5th Street, Lorain, Ohio 44052.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2005, 9:00 am in the funeral home followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM in St. Mary Church, corner of 8th Street and Reid Avenue, Lorain, OH with Reverend Daniel O. Divis, pastor officiating.

Betty Jean Knitter
Betty Jean Knitter, 77 (nee Klaue) of Lorain, OH formerly of Sheffield Lake, OH died Tuesday afternoon October 11, 2005 at New Life Hospice Center at St. Joseph in Lorain following a brief illness.
Mrs. Knitter was born on July 24, 1928 in Berea, OH and lived in this area for the last 76 years. She began her working career with Ohio Edison. She then began working at Bay View Hospital and then moved to St. John West Shore Hospital. She retired in 1969 from the accounts receivable department after 20 years of service.
She was a member of the Sheffield Lake United Church of Christ. She was also a member of the Helen Steiner Rice Foundation. She enjoyed crocheting and collecting both Hummel Figurines and Seraphim Angel Figurines.
Mrs. Knitter is survived by her husband Richard E. Knitter to whom she was married
on Nov. 27, 1952, one daughter Lynette Moore also of Sheffield Lake, 2 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and one brother John Klaue of Tavares, FL.
She was preceded in death by two infant children, parents Walter and Charlotte M. (nee Cowie) Klaue and a twin brother that died at birth.

John I. Konnerth Jr.
John I. Konnerth Jr. 79, of Lorain, Ohio died on Sunday, August 14, 2005 at Community Health Partners Hosp. & Surgical Ctr-W in Lorain, OH, following an unexpectedly.
He was born on November 12, 1925 in Lorain, OH living here all of his life. He was a 1944 graduate of Lorain High School.
Mr. Konnerth was a veteran of the United States Navy, Submarine Division in the Pacific Fleet, aboard the USS Ronquil, during World War II.
He was a plumber with the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union #42 in Norwalk, OH. He was a 52 year member of the union. He retired in 1980.
Mr. Konnerth was a life member of the Lorain Elks, B.P.O.E. #1301, life member of Mullin-Murray V.F.W. Post 451, F. & AM Lorain Masonic Temple, Black River Lodge #786, Lorain County Scottish Rite, Lorain County Shrine Club, Lake Erie Consistory Valley of Cleveland and Al Koran Shrine.
He enjoyed golfing, boating and traveling extensively.
He is survived by his daughters, Valerie Glowacki of Vermilion, OH and Barbara Taylor of Virginia Beach, VA, and brother Kyle Konnerth of Daytona Beach, FL. 2 Grandchildren.
Mr. Konnerth is preceded in death by his wife Jeanne (nee Filbert) Konnerth in December 8th 2001, parents John I. and Iola D. (nee Taylor) Konnerth Sr., and brother Robert Konnerth.
There will be no services or visitation.
