Dorothy M. Roig (nee Cook) - age 80, of South Amherst, formerly of Elyria, passed away Saturday morning, October 2, 2004 at Community Health Partners in Lorain following a short illness. She was born February 23, 1924 in Leispic, OH and moved with her family to Elyria as a young child. She has resided in South Amherst for the past 44 years.
Dorothy was a member of the Elyria Eagles Club and enjoyed bowling.
She is survived by her 4 children, Donna R. Branscum of Sandusky; John R. Roig of South Amherst; George R. Roig of Lorain and Gerald S. Roig of Lorain, 15 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard E. Cook of Elyria; and sisters Martha J. Jones of Lorain and Juanita D. Kuhns of Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Ray Roig in 1991, a twin brother Donald R. Cook in 1986 and her parents, Raymond A. and Isy M. Cook (nee Trott).
Funeral services will be at the Funeral Home on Thursday, October 7 at 1:30pm. Interment will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon, OH. Friends may call at the BUSCH FUNERAL HOME, 114 Second Street, Elyria from 2-4 and 7-9pm Tuesday and Wednesday.
