Megan Yankovitz Scholarship Fund for Royal Redeemer Lutheran School
Megan made wonderful memories while attending Royal Redeemer Lutheran School. She loved all her teachers and friends from the School. In Memory of Megan we are setting up The Megan Yankovitz Scholarship Fund for Royal Redeemer Lutheran School.
The purpose of the Scholarship Fund is to provide financial assistance annually to families as needed to help send their children to Royal Redeemer Lutheran School. Royal Redeemer Lutheran School is dedicated to developing a love of our Lord, Jesus Christ, and a love of learning in the students.

Give Kids the World Village
In July 2002, Megan and her family were fortunate to visit Give Kids The World Village. They had a wonderful time and were very touched by the kindness and compassion of this unique resort.
Give Kids The World Village is a non-profit resort that creates magical memories for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. Wish-granting organizations coordinate transportation to Orlando, while Give Kids The World provides accommodations at its whimsical resort, attractions tickets, and meals for a week-long fantasy vacation. Since its founding in 1986, Give Kids The World has welcomed families from all 50 states and 50 countries.

Chester C. “Chet” Conrad – 77 of Avon, passed away, Monday, December 20 at St. John West Shore Hospital, following complications of a stroke. Mr. Conrad was born July 15, 1927 in Avon and had lived his entire life there until moving to N. Olmsted 6 months ago.
Mr. Conrad worked for B.F. Goodrich, Avon Lake for 23 years, retiring from the Shipping and Receiving Department in 1989. He was a US Navy, serving from 1945-46. He served as an Avon Volunteer Fireman from 1961 to 1997. He was a member of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church and a member of the Holy Name Society.
He is survived by his wife Virginia (nee Smith) whom he married
, April 26, 1949. Other survivors include 4 daughters: Linda Conrad of Middleburg Hts.; Cheryl Brackett (David) of Tyler, TX; Robin Rothacker (Mike) of Bedford and Mary Beth Bergenstein (John) of Columbia Station. Other survivors include 4 grandchildren: Michael Lembke, John Rothaker, Heather and Nicholas Brackett and 4 brothers: Lester Conrad of Columbus and Donald Conrad, Robert Conrad and Ronald Conrad of Avon. He is preceded in death by his parents: A.J. and Mildred (nee Weber) Conrad.
Friends may call at the Busch Funeral Home, 32000 Detroit Rd., Avon, Wednesday, December 22 from 3:00-7:30pm. A prayer service will be at the funeral home Thursday, December 23 at 9:15am followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church, 2640 Stoney Ridge Rd., Avon at 10:00am. Fr. Thomas Cleaton of the Church will officiate. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church.
