Ruth Lillian Flood (nee Raby), age 93 of Oberlin, passed away Monday evening at Welcome Nursing Home in Oberlin following a lengthy illness. She was born in rural Michigan, near Lansing, on May, 11, 1911. She attended Lansing Business College.
Ruth moved to Oberlin, OH in 1972 after the death of her husband, Jack, who died suddenly in late 1970. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Oberlin for 33+ years and a member of the Ladies Missionary Society at the church. She enjoyed baking, cooking and flower gardening.
She is survived 2 children, a son Dennis Flood of Oberlin and daughter, Carol Kananen of Kernersville, NC; 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Flood, a son Roger Flood, a brother, a sister and her parents.
A Memorial service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 310 W. Lorain Street in Oberlin on Saturday, September 11, 2004 at 10:00am. Interment will be held at Glendale cemetery in Okemos, MI at a later date.

Margery loved gardening, golf and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was employed as an office manager at the Imperial House in Lakewood for many years. Though she had both Cancer and Alzheimers's, she was fun, loving and a joy to be with to the end. The Lord family expresses their deep gratitude to Frank H.
