Marcella L. Harris (nee Dial) – 83 of Avon Lake, formerly of Cleveland, passed away, Sunday, March 14 at Community Health Partners Hospital and Surgical Center, from complications of pneumonia. Mrs. Harris was born May 9, 1920 in Cleveland and has lived in Avon Lake since 1958.
Mrs. Harris worked for American Greeting Cleveland for many years as a machine operator. She was a member of Holy Spirit Church, Avon Lake and the Church’s Ladies Guild. She enjoyed travel, reading, bowling and golf.
Mrs. Harris is survived by 2 sons: Daniel E Harris (Melvine) and James F. Harris (Bonita), both of Sheffield Lake; daughter Nancy C. Diersen (Al) of Lorain; 4 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and a sister Delores Carr of Eastlake.
She is preceded in death by her husband Francis C. Harris, parents Roy and Laura (nee Martin) Dial, 5 sisters and 3 brothers.

Robert H. Lantz – 79 of Avon Lake formerly of Mentor passed away suddenly, Thursday, March 11 in the Emergency Room at St. John West Shore Hospital, Westlake. Mr. Lantz was born, March 17, 1924 in Cleveland and had lived in Mentor for 28 years prior to moving to Avon Lake 3 years ago.
Mr. Lantz worked as a manufacturing engineer for Cleveland National Tool, which became R.B. and W. Company, retiring in 1986. He was a graduate of Fen College. He served in the US Army, the Asian Theatre and the Philippines during WWII. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Avon Lake. He played various sports and enjoyed travel.
Mr. Lantz is survived by his wife Margaret (nee Soltes) Lantz. Other survivors included daughter Mary Ellen Tsai of Olney, MD, step-son Edward Kancler (Audrey) of Twinsburg, 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by 1st wife Martha (nee Grechny) two sisters, Helen Marie Lantz and Cass Summers and his parents Raymond and Helen (nee Kennedy) Lantz.
Friends may call at the Busch-Burmeister Family Chapel, 163 Avon-Belden Rd. Avon Lake, Sunday, March 14 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00pm. Lynne M. Redinger-Harmon – 35 of Chippewa, OH, formerly Avon Lake, passed away, Thursday, March 11 at Akron City Hospital of cancer. Mrs. Redinger-Harmon was born, February 8, 1969 in Lorain and had lived in Avon Lake until moving to Chippawa, OH 11 years ago.
Lynne was a homemaker, a 1987 graduate of Avon Lake High School, where she played both basketball and softball. She attended Toledo University. She was a member of St. Francis of Xavier Church in Medina. Lynne enjoyed her pet dogs and cats, she was a NASCAR, Cleveland Indians and sports fan in general.
She is survived by her son Bradley S. Harmon at home. Other survivors include her mother, Dorothy L. Redinger (nee White), her sister Nancy Geagea of Waterbury Connecticut; 2 brothers, Jack R. Redinger (Nancy) of Ramsey, New Jersey and Christopher T. Redinger of Avon Lake. She is also survived by a special friend, Greg Bessler. She is preceded in death by her father Ruel O. Redinger, Jr.
