Avon Lake, OH - Kathryn Robey (nee Eisenbise), age 90, of Avon Lake, Ohio passed away Friday, November 26, 2004 at the Good Samaritan Nursing Center, Avon following a short illness. Mrs. Robey was born September 7, 1914 in Green Camp, Ohio and moved to Avon Lake nine years ago from Leesville, Ohio. She was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Avon Lake; Naomi Circle and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading, going out to eat and being with her family.
Mrs. Robey is survived by two sons, Thomas Gray of Arlington Heights, Illinois and Keith Gray of Apopka, Florida; a daughter, Randi (Ronald) Smarsh of Avon Lake and step-son, Frank Robey of New Washington, Ohio; eight grandchildren and three step-grandchildren and one great grandchild and six step-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Robey; a daughter, Nancy Rigney; a grandson, Keith Gray Jr. and her parents, Seth and Zella (nee Somerlot) Eisenbise.

James Russell Wightman

James Russell Wightman – 91 of Avon Lake, formerly of Cleveland, passed away, Monday, April 4 at Avon Oaks Nursing Home, following a Lengthy Illness. Mr. Wightman was born, September 15, 1913 in Cleveland and had lived in Avon Lake for 50 years.
Mr. Wightman was a Photoengraver for the Roto Art Greveer, magazine insert of the news paper, where he worked for over 30 years. He retired in 1975. He was a WWII veteran, serving in the Army Air Corp as a Radio Operator Mechanic, serving in Europe, Africa and the Middle East from 1943 to 1946.
Mr. Wightman was a member of Lake Shore United Methodist Church, where, at one time he had been a member of the church’s choir. He was 50+ year member of the Mid Century Masonic Lodge, Avon Lake. He enjoyed tinkering with electronics, playing cards, traveling and square dancing.
Mr. Wightman is survived by daughter: Jean Jackson (Robert) of Avon Lake; 4 grandsons: Thomas Matty, Lucas Jackson (Melissa), Nicholas Jackson and Ryan Jackson (Trisha). Other survivors include a niece Beverly Demian of Rocky River, whom he raised and a brother George Wightman of Avon Lake. He is preceded in death by his wife Frieda (nee Geiger) Wightman; daughter: Nora Lee Wightman Matty; grandson: James F. Jackson; 3 brothers: Ralph Wightman, Jack Wightman and William Wightman and parents: George and Alta (nee Gerstenschlager) Wightman.
A memorial service will be Sunday, April 17 at Lake Shore United Methodist Church, 33119 Electric Blvd., Avon Lake at 2:00pm. Dr. Charles A. Peal and Linda Yingling of the church will officiate. Interment will be private in Brooklyn Heights cemetery.

Brian K. Pullen - age 42, of Elyria, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, April 2, 2005 while in Las Vegas, NV. Brian was born November 20, 1962 in Bastrop, LA and moved to Ohio as an infant and grew up in Elyria. He graduated from Elyria High School in 1982 and was a member of Abundant Life Christian Center in Elyria.
Brian was employed with All-American in Elyria where he was an assembler and he was had worked for Rhenium Alloy’s Inc in Elyria as a laborer.
Brian was very active with bowling. He was Bowler of the Year in Elyria several times. He was a member of PBA (Professional Bowler’s Association) and the American Bowling Association. He also was a member of the Elyria Eagles Club.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Janet S. Pullen; 2 sons Brian K. Pullen, Jr. “BJ” and Brandon L. Pullen, both at home in Elyria; a sister Beverly Schneider and brother Steven Pullen, both of Elyria; half-sisters Kimberly Brady and Suzanne Bush, a step-sister Rachel Edwards and Marlo Poore and a step-brother, Dwain Poore; his father and step-mother Dwain and Debbie Pullen of Bastrop, LA.; his mother and step-dad Juanita “Bobbie”and Don Edwards of Elyria.
Funeral services will be held at the Funeral Home Monday, April 11 at 11:00am. Rev. Jerry Harper, Pastor of Abundant Life Christian Center in Elyria, will officiate.
