Frank A. LaSalvia, Jr., 86, died at home on Saturday. Mr. LaSalvia, born in Cleveland, was a 1936 graduate of St. Ignatius High School and a 1940 graduate of John Carroll University with a B.S. in accounting. He served in the Pacific theater with the US Navy during World War II. He was founder and President of Mid-American Machine and Manufacturing Co., Inc., Brookpark, Ohio and President of Luwalt Metal Products, Inc, Cleveland, OH. Mr. LaSalvia is survived by Kathleen (nee Stevens), his beloved wife of 65 years; brother David; three children: Jayne Ann Collins, Robert Francis LaSalvia and Richard John LaSalvia; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to John Carroll University Office of Planned Giving, 20700 North Park Blvd, Cleveland, OH 44138. Mass of Ressurrection will be held at 11:00am Tuesday at St. Christopher’s Church, 20141 Detroit Road, Rocky River. Friends will be received one hour prior to the Mass at the Church. Interment Holy Cross cemetery.

Regina C. Haag
November 3, 1919 - April 2, 2005

Regina C. Haag (nee Yarka) - age 89, of Willard and formerly of Elyria, passed away Saturday morning, April 2, 2005 at Willard Health Care Center following a short illness. She was born November 3, 1915 in Elyria and remained a resident until moving to Willard, OH in 1980.
While in Elyria, Regina was a cook at several local restaurants including Elyria Dairy and Sterner’s Restaurant in Elyria and Clymer’s Restaurant in Oberlin. When she moved to Willard, she was a housekeeper in several homes. She was a member of St Paul United Church of Christ in Elyria and the Oberlin Grange. She enjoyed reading and cooking.
She is survived by a son, Melvin T. Haag, Sr. of Elyria and a daughter, Barbara A. Montgomery of Willard, OH; 6 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore J. Haag in 1971, a brother Frank Yarka, sisters Stella Stutz and Bernice Morris and her parents, Louis and Martha Yarka (nee Kubuski).
Funeral service at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 5. Rev. Allen Grothe, Pastor of St Paul United Church of Christ in Elyria, will officiate. Interment at North Murray Ridge cemetery in Elyria. At the family’s request all services will be private. Arrangements by Busch Funeral Home in Elyria.

Lajcha; dear Daughter of the late Charles and Martha (nee Fromer) Kovendi; loving Sister of the late Robert Lajcha, the late Louie Lajcha, and the late Joseph Lajcha; dear Sister In Law of Selma Lajcha; loving Aunt of Fritz Corrigan, Jr. (Sharen), Colleen Cornely (Gary), Beverly Huff (Bill), Georgianna Ketola, Larry Ketola, Bobby Stuewe, and Mary Ann Culik; Great-Aunt of Abria, Davin, Shawn, Scott, and Erin, and Great-Great-Aunt of Louis. Rose passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2005. AVON LAKE, OH – Armand A. “Bud” Scalero, 77, of Avon Lake passed away Tuesday March 16, 2004 at his home. Mr. Scalero was born September 8, 1926 in Cleveland and was a graduate of Collinwood High School and Fenn College. During World War II Bud served as a Radioman in the U.S. Navy in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre, where he served on the U.S.S. Charles Ausborne as part of the Little Beaver Squadron. He was employed in the trucking business for forty years, retiring as a National Account Executive for Ryder P.I.E. He was a member of Mid-Century #725 F. & A.M. Masonic Lodge, Avon Lake; the Al Koran Shrine, the Cleveland Transportation Club; V.F.W. Post 8686, Sheffield Lake and Erie AmVets Post 55, Sheffield Lake. Bud enjoyed fishing and boating, gardening and woodworking.
Mr. Scalero is survived by his wife, Yvonne J. Scalero (nee Currier); two daughters, Sally Young (David) of Columbia Station and Sherry Gamble (Rodney) of North Canton; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and two sisters, Jeanne Lewis and Elaine Greg. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cathy Lee Scalero (1954) and his parents, Frank and Ruth (nee Sump) Scalero.
Friends may call at the BUSCH-BURMEISTER FAMILY CHAPEL, 163 Avon-Belden Rd. Avon Lake from 6-9pm Thursday, where Mid-Century Lodge will conduct Masonic services at 7:00pm. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home Friday March 19 at 11:00am. Rev. Kelly Peters, pastor of the Avon Lake United Church of Christ will officiate. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon where V.F.W. Post 9871 of North Ridgeville and the Navy will conduct military honors.
