Avon - Forest Regina Burris (nee Alpeter), age 87, died on April 8, 2005, following a brief illness, at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Avon. Mrs. Burris was born and raised in Sugarcreek, OH. She had lived in Avon Lake for the past four years moving from Lakewood.
She was an accounting administrator working for various accounting firms. She was a member of Madison Avenue Baptist Church, Cleveland for many years and most recently she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Avon Lake. Her hobbies included poetry, drawing, music and baking.
Mrs. Burris is survived by her daughters Joanne Romes (Franklin) and Karen Gregg both of Avon Lake, OH, her sisters Helen Shell (Coleman) of Sugarcreek, OH, Grace Wiggins of Sunland, CA, her brother Eugene Alpeter of Altadena, CA. Other survivors include ten grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Alvin A. and Verna May (nee Harman) Alpeter, her grandson Joseph Romes, her granddaughter Jennifer Romes, her great grandson William Quickle, three brothers and two sisters.
Memorial contributions may be forwarded to the Calvary Baptist Church, 32607 Electric Blvd, Avon Lake, OH 44012.
Friends may call at the Busch Funeral Home, 163 Avon-Belden Road, Avon Lake Wednesday, April 13 from 6-9 pm. Service will be at the Calvary Baptist Church, 32607 Electric Blvd, Avon Lake, OH Thursday, April 14 at 10:30 am. Pastor David Skelton will officiate. Graveside services Thursday at 3:30 pm at East Lawn cemetery, Sugarcreek, OH.
