Donald D. Kushing
Donald David Kushing, 62, of Strongsville, passed away Monday, Jan. 1, 2001, after a long illness in the Southern Hills Nursing Rehabilitation Center in Middleburg Heights.
He was born July 24, 1938, in Cleveland and lived in South Euclid and Strongsville all of his life. Mr. Kushing attended Trinity Lutheran Church in Grafton. He was a graduate of Fenn College, where he was a member of Kappa Delta Phi and Gamma Delta fraternities. He was employed as an office manager in the trucking industry for many years and was employed by Alvan Trucking as a tariff auditor. Mr. Kushing was a member of Model A Ford Club of America and Train Collectors Association.
He is survived by his wife, Arlene (nee Weber), to whom he was married 36 years; son, David of Strongsville; brother, Alvin P. Kushing of Willowick; two nieces; one grandniece; and two grandnephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Curt and Matilda Kushing, and four uncles.
Service: 11 a.m. Friday at Crown Hill Cemetery Chapel, Twinsburg. The Rev. Mark Vietz of Trinity Lutheran Church will officiate.
Visiting hours: 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Blackburn Funeral Home, 1021 Main St., Grafton.

Carol A. Livingstone
Carol A. Livingstone, 64, of Hinckley Township, passed away Saturday, Dec. 30, 2000, at her residence.
She was born July 2, 1936, in Cleveland. She was a secretary for heavy equipment sales.
Mrs. Livingstone is survived by her husband, Kenneth R. Livingstone of Hinckley; daughter, Dawn of Hinckley; son, Brian of Medina; sisters, Barbara Chonko and Beverly DiSanza, both of Brooklyn Heights, and Janet Malek of North Royalton; brother, Martin Malek of Cuyahoga Falls; and grandson, Brian Jr.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Richard.
Service: 1 p.m. Saturday at Royal Redeemer Lutheran Church, 11680 Royalton Road, North Royalton.

Mary Pietrasz
Mary (Mae) Pietrasz, 82, of Parma, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001, in North Royalton.
She was born in Cleveland.
She is survived by her son, Martin (Linda); daughter, Dorothy (Ron) Spodar; and grandsons, Brett and Blake Pietrasz, and Ryan and Derek Spodar.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester R., and sister, Mildred Good.
Service: 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. Francis De Sales Church, 3434 George Ave., Parma.

John P. Rogers
John P. "Jack" Rogers, 80, of Chippewa Lake, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001.
Mr. Rogers served honorably in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was the beloved husband of Ruth M. (nee Scheuerman); father of Timothy (Linda) and Mary Beth (James) Schleter of Chippewa Lake; and grandfather of seven.
Memorial service: 2 p.m. Saturday at Middleburg Heights Community Center, 16000 Bagley Road, Middleburg Heights.

Ida B. Vargo
Ida Bell Vargo, 81, of Chippewa Lake, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001, at Select Specialty Hospital in Barberton.
She was born July 21, 1919, in Wadsworth to George and Dora (Fink) Dull. She was a member of Riverdale Rebekah Lodge 596. Mrs. Vargo was a homemaker all of her life. She loved crafts and needlework and loved her family dearly.
She is survived by her husband, Carl Vargo, whom she married on Sept. 30, 1939; son, Robert (Sandra) Vargo; daughters, Vicki Norris, Kristen (Gary) Robinson; grandchildren, Bobbi Lee, Jennifer, Emily and Megan Vargo, Kevin, Ryan and John Rogers, Beth Baker, and Cheryl Tannehill; seven great-grandchildren; brother, George H. Dull; sister, Darlene Haker; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ralph Dull; and sister, Wanetta Leatherman.
Service: 11 a.m. Saturday at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel, 9560 Acme Road, Wadsworth. The Rev. Martha J. Everhard will officiate.
Burial: Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

Lonnie L. Antill
Lonnie L. Antill, 51, of Seville and Loudonville, died Sunday, Dec. 31, 2000, in Ashland.
He was born in Meadville, Pa., but became a Medina County resident for life. He was a carpenter and owner of Woodwright's Inc., Division 2, for 23 years. He loved the outdoors.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (nee Podsiadlo) of Seville; daughter and son-in-law, Shannon and Jim McManamon of Parma; daughter, Crystal Antill of the home; son and fiancée, Jason M. Antill and Christy Warner of Wadsworth; mother, Mary Lou Antill of Brunswick; grandchildren, Jimmy, Ryan and Nicholas McManamon; brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Eileen Antill of Chippewa Lake; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mike and Elenore Podsiadlo; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bonnie and Gerald McPhillips, Barbara and Ed Lightcap, Mitch and Denise Podsiadlo, Andy and Tracy Podsiadlo, Steve Podsiadlo, Kathy and Lennie Forthafer and Ken and Deb Podsiadlo; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Louis, and brother, Lance.

Robert E. Colbrun
Robert E. Colbrun, 63, of Brunswick, died Sunday, Dec. 31, 2000, in Medina.
He was born March 11, 1937, in Cleveland and was a Medina County resident for many years. He worked for the Coast Guard as a material handler. He was a member of Brunswick Church of God, American Legion Post 234 (chaplain), Brunswick VFW and the NRA. He enjoyed muscle cars and Harley-Davidson motorcycles. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy (nee Webb) of Medina; daughters, Toni Colbrun and Kelly (Colbrun) McDaniel of California and Arizona and Pamela French of Medina; son, Noel (Theresa) Rowe of Virginia; stepmother, Marian Colbrun of Brunswick; grandsons, Robert L. French and Jacob Rowe; nieces, Ginger, Rhonda and Yvonne Colbrun; close family friend, Del Martin; brothers, Edward (Debby) Colbrun of Litchfield Township and Dan of Brunswick; and many friends at the Coast Guard Exchange System in Cleveland.
Service: 11 a.m. today at Brunswick Church of God, 5404 Center Road, Valley City. Pastor Eddie Noel will officiate.

C.F. Froggie Coleman
C.F. Froggie Coleman, 87, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001.
He was born and raised in Waco, Texas. Mr. Coleman was a graduate of Waco High and Baylor University. He was a high school and collegiate star athlete in football, swimming and diving, track (javelin state record) and gymnastics. He was a former football coach at Baylor and industrial relations director for Owens-Illinois Inc. at Waco, Valdosta, Ga., and Columbus. Mr. Coleman retired to Havana, Fla., as a gentleman farmer and woodworking enthusiast. Froggie was a mentor and friend to all he knew.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sara (Cunningham) and their three children, Molly Wilson of Havana and her three daughters and families, Sally Boddery (Si) of Rochester, N.Y., and their two children and families; and C.F. Tad Coleman Jr. (Jan Post) and their children, all of Medina, and Chris (Margo), Kellie and Jack (Leslie).
Service: 2 p.m. Friday at Bevis, Sasser, Morgan, McClellan Funeral Home, 20 S. Duvall, Quincy, Fla.

Ronald Cutre
Ronald Cutre, 64, of Seville, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001.
He was born June 5, 1936, in Cleveland and was employed as a pipe fitter. He served in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Cutre was a loving father.
He is survived by his sons, James (Mary) Cutre of Strongsville, Chris (Kathy) Cutre of Brunswick and Jeff (Tammie) Cutre of Akron; daughters, Debbie (Kevin) Hughes of Medina, Shelly DeHart of Brunswick and Maria Cutre of Cincinnati; sisters, Geraldine Sharky and Janice Miterko, both of Parma, and Bonnie Papson of Seven Hills; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita, in 2000.
Service: 7 p.m. Friday at Carlson, A Golden Rule Funeral Home, 3477 Medina Road (at River Styx Road), Medina. Father Ronald Bryda will officiate.
Burial: Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman.

Augusta F. Fortune, 90, of Medina, died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2000, in Medina.
He was born Oct. 26, 1910.
