Ina L. Valentine Courtright, 97, formerly of Lancaster, Ohio, passed away at her Medina residence on Saturday, April 21, 2001.
She was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lancaster.
She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Wanda L. Tolley and Janet C. and William D. Graham, all of Medina; grandson, John (Tamara) Solt of Lancaster; sister, Marcine Grigsby of Lancaster; and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Armond W. Courtright; parents; brothers, Paul and John Valentine; and son-in-law, Cecil D. Tolley.
Service: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home, 436 N. Broad St., Lancaster. Pastor Roger Quay will officiate.
Burial: Maple Hill Cemetery, Stoutsville, Ohio.
Visiting hours: 9:30 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.

Clair E. Falconer
Clair E. Falconer, 85, of Medina, died Sunday, April 22, 2001, at Medina General Hospital.
He was born in Medina County and was a lifelong resident. He was a member of United Church of Christ Congregational, life-member of Knights of Pythias and member of Masonic F&AM 58. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking and traveling. He was a loving husband and father as well as a guiding light to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mr. Falconer retired from the Medina Farmer's Exchange and worked at Medina County Farm Bureau and Seville Elevator.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth F. (nee Patten) of Medina; daughters, Frances (Earl II) Mack of San Ramon, Calif., Donna McClung of Medina, Ruth Ann (Gary Sr.) Tallman of Delaware, Ohio, Sandra Getty of North Benton, Ohio, and Gayle (Kenneth Sr.) Rogers of Medina; grandchildren, Christine (David Sr.) Baker of Tracy, Calif., Kenneth Mack III of San Ramon, Jennifer, Gary Jr. and Edward McClung, all of Medina, Gary Jr., Shasta and Joshua Tallman of Delaware, and Sara and Lisa Getty and Brandy, Kenneth Jr. and Stephanie Rogers, all of Medina; great-grandchildren, Ashlei Smith of Medina, David Jr. and Daniel Baker of Tracy, and Jasmine, Jada and Alexis Rogers, all of Medina; sister, Lenore Edwards of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Mary, and sister, Irene Orr.
Service: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Waite & Son Funeral Homes, Medina Chapel, 765 N. Court St. The Rev. Dr. Ted Elsenheimer will officiate.
Burial: Spring Grove Cemetery, Medina.

Janet M. Kling
Janet M. Kling, 47, of Medina, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 17, 2001, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born Nov. 1, 1953, in Akron and was a Medina County resident for nine years. She was a member of Akron Bible Church. Mrs. Kling was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond T. of Medina; son, Gary (Jacky) Wingfield of Akron; daughters, Lisa (James) Hammond and Amy Parker, both of Akron, and Amanda Parker of Norton; parents, Maxwell and Georgia (nee Harper) Brown of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; grandchildren, Brandon, Paul, Michael, Jacob and Gavin; and brothers, Wade and Jeffrey Brown, both of Port St. Lucie.
Service: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Akron Bible Church, 783 Brown St., Akron. Pastor Howard Duma will officiate.

Dan Wilson
Dan Wilson, 79, of Brunswick, died Friday, April 20, 2001, in Akron.
He was born Feb. 14, 1922, in Central City, Pa., and was a Medina County resident for eight years. He was employed by Pollisher Kelly Plating and served in the Army during World War II. He was an avid sports fan.
He is survived by his son, Ted F. Wilson of Brunswick, and grandchildren, Shelley, Melanie, Scott and Teddy, all of Brunswick.
Service: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Waite & Son Funeral Homes, Brunswick Chapel, 3300 Center Road (state Route 303 at Interstate 71), Brunswick.

Learefa M. Wiszt
Learefa M. Wiszt, 77, of Medina, formerly of Hinckley Township, passed into a new life on Saturday, April 21, 2001, in the Akron Children's Burn Center. She was surrounded by family that will forever love and admire her.
She was born in Pike County, Ill., and her special gift was her unconditional love and nurturing for her husband, daughter and grandchildren. Her proudest moments came as she stood by their sides celebrating their accomplishments. Her endless devotion has forever shaped their lives. Alongside her husband, she enjoyed a long involvement with the Democratic Party and the International Lions Club.
She leaves her loving family, daughter, Coralee; grandchildren, Susanne, Jennifer, Rachel, Sara and Adam; sisters-in-law, Margaret Stickel, Hildegarde Nadson and LaVerne Dunn; cousins, nephews and nieces; grandnieces and grandnephews; and her devoted little companion Christopher.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, John A. Wiszt, and her parents, Cora and Lee Predmire.
Service: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Waite & Son Funeral Homes, Medina Chapel, 765 N. Court St. Pastor T.J. McNew of Medina Church of the Nazarene will officiate.
Interment: Poe Cemetery.

Helen A. Dewar
Helen Ann Dewar, 80, of Spencer, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2001, at the Welcome Nursing Home in Oberlin.
She was born in Cleveland on March 3, 1921, to John and Ann Kohler Homola and resided in the Spencer area since 1950. Mrs. Dewar was a homemaker. She was a member of the Spencer Pythian Sisters Lodge.
Mrs. Dewar is survived by her husband, Walter; daughter, Mrs. David (Cathleen) Taylor of Miami; sons, Gary (Linda) Dewar of Penfield and Craig (Patricia) Dewar of Spencer; grandchildren, Jason, Jennifer, Cathleen and Troy Dewar; and sister, Tillie Woolen of Chesterland.
No services will be held. A private family gathering is planned.

Beth N. Lennerth
Beth N. Lennerth, 57, of Valley City, died Thursday, April 19, 2001, in Valley City.
She was born in Farrell, Pa., and was a Medina County resident for 31 years. Mrs. Lennerth enjoyed cooking, gardening and baking. She worked as a cytotechnologist at University Hospitals of Cleveland.
Mrs. Lennerth is survived by her husband, Ralph J.; son, Jordan R.; and daughter, Jodi J., all of Valley City.
Service: 11 a.m. Monday at Jardine Funeral Home, 14701 Pearl Road, Strongsville.
Burial: St. Mary's of the Falls Cemetery, Olmsted Falls.

Ronald L. Reed
Ronald Lee Reed, 59, of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2001, at Lakewood Hospital.
He was born on Sept. 29, 1941, in Cleveland and was a longtime resident of Hinckley. Mr. Reed was employed as a routing technician supervisor at AT&T. He served in the Navy.
Mr. Reed is survived by his mother, Janis (Steve) Hengeli of Hinckley; sons, Ronald L. (Cynthia) Reed of Valley City, Raymond (Catherine) Reed and Randall Reed, all of Michigan, and Russell Reed of Columbus; daughter, Richelle Reed of Oil City, Pa.; brother, Steve Hengeli of Hinckley; sisters, Linda Marz of Texas and Cynthia Hengeli of Columbus; grandchildren, Stephanie, Ryan and Shawn Reed, Jessica and Jerry Donovan and Kaylee Rehberg.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Reed.
Memorial service: 2 p.m. April 29 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 1605 Center Road, Hinckley. Pastor Philip Cummings will officiate.

John J. Rohrer
John J. Rohrer, 83, of Seville, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 19, 2001.
He was born on June 17, 1917, in Seville and was a lifetime Medina County resident. Mr. Rohrer was retired from Key Bank, Medina, and was formerly employed at Smith Dairy in Orrville and Borden Dairy in Akron. He also had his own milk route at one time. Mr. Rohrer was a member of United Church of Christ in Medina and enjoyed gardening and being outdoors.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Rohrer (nee Dailey), to whom he was married 50 years; and their chosen family, Gloria Jean Forste, Naome and Dwaine Carter of Lodi; grandchildren, Zachary, Jacob, and Nathan Carter; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Margaret (nee Eshelman) Rohrer.
Service: 11 a.m. Monday at Armstrong-Waite Funeral Home, 25 Pleasant St., Seville. Dr. Ted Elsenheimer will officiate.
Burial: Mound Hill Cemetery, Seville.
