Steven F. Grey, 52, of Medina, passed away Monday, April 16, 2001, at his home.
He was born in and was a lifetime resident of Medina County. Mr. Grey was a service director for Motor Cars Chrysler Jeep in North Olmsted.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl L. Grey (Doherty), and daughter, Laura C. Grey, both of Medina.
Memorial service: 4:30 p.m. Friday at Waite & Son Funeral Homes, Medina Chapel, 765 N. Court St.
Visiting hours: 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Sandra C. Kovach
Sandra C. Kovach, 54, of Strongsville, died Monday, April 16, 2001, at Southwest General Health Center.
She was born Nov. 21, 1946, in Cleveland and was a Strongsville resident for 20 years. She was president and owner of ASJ Screen Printing.
Mrs. Kovach is survived by her husband, Gerald, to whom she was married for 37 years; daughters, Kristina H. (Gary) Brooks of Unionsville, Pa., and Kimberly L. Kovach and Amber Kovach, both of Strongsville; mother, Marion Sudvary; and brother, Jay Sudvary.
Service: 11 a.m. Friday at Carlson, A Golden Rule Funeral Home, 1642 Pearl Road (one-half mile south of state Route 303), Brunswick.
Visiting hours: 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Robert J. McCabe
Robert J. McCabe, 84, of Loudonville, died Monday, April 16, 2001, at Smithville Western Care Center.
Mr. McCabe was employed as a civil engineer for the city of Mount Vernon. He was an artist, well-known for his watercolor paintings, many of which hang in businesses in the Loudonville area.
Mr. McCabe is survived by his daughter, Sara (Gary) Gamble of Westfield Center; grandchildren, Kim and Chad; and nephews, Mike (Jo) Shrimplin and Doug (Barb) Shrimplin.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eileen; son, Ronnie McCabe; and six brothers and sisters.
Private graveside services will be held Thursday at Jelloway Cemetery in Loudonville.

Orin C. Crandall
Orin C. Crandall, 88, of Akron, passed away Monday, April 16, 2001, at his home.
He was born Oct. 24, 1912, in Sanlick County, Mich., and was a lifetime resident of Medina County. Mr. Crandall was a member of Medina F&AM 58. He enjoyed dancing. He worked as a machinist at National Rubber and at Dolly Madison and A.I. Root Co.
Mr. Crandall is survived by his wife, Jaynee Crandall (nee Skaggs) of Akron; sons, Roland (Elaine) Crandall and James (Sunday) Henderson, both of Medina; daughters, Marsha Stewart of Lynchburg, Va., and Dorothy Pritchard of Medina; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Marcella Davis.
Service: 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Waite & Son Funeral Homes, Medina Chapel, 765 N. Court St. The Rev. Jim Hostetler will officiate.
Burial: Granger-Fairview Cemetery.

Donald E. Foradori
Donald E. Foradori, 61, of Westfield Center, died Saturday, April 14, 2001, at Lodi Community Hospital.
He was born in Brockport, Pa., and was a Medina County resident for 30 years. He was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Parish, where he served as the president of the First Mission Council. He was a graduate of Penn State University and received his master's of business administration degree from Case Western Reserve University. Mr. Foradori was the capacity planning manager for Marconi Global Services of North Ridgeville. He served in the Marine Corps.
Donald ran in two Revco marathons and loved being involved in his children's sporting events. He loved his family, researching their family history and also his Dalmatian, Hannibal.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn (nee Reams) of Westfield Center; daughters, Lisa (Troy) Lovejoy of Charlotte, N.C., Donna Foradori of Akron and Laura (Manfred) Ayuk of Hyattsville, Md.; son, Alex Foradori of Westfield Center; granddaughter, Aida Ayuk of Hyattsville; sister, Mary (Leroy) Witz of Brockport; and brothers, Virgil (Beverly) and Alexander (Betty), both of Brockport, Harry (Dorris) of Cocoa Beach, Fla., and Robert (Carole) of Deatsville, Ala.

LaVerne A. Fruits
LaVerne A. Fruits (nee Betke), 70, of Hinckley Township, passed away Friday, April 13, 2001, at Medina General Hospital, after a courageous acceptance and endurance of a disease that took much of her loved active life away.
She was born in Cleveland and was a Medina County resident for 50 years. She loved bingo and to drive and travel. She enjoyed bowling and golf. She coached and played in a women's softball league and was a volunteer for the Red Cross bloodmobile. She loved her 13 years as a switchboard operator and bookkeeper for Automatic Sprinkler Co. of Broadview Heights.
She was the loving mother of Dale (Bonnie) Fruits and Lynne (Phil) Nawalaniec, both of Hinckley, and the dear grandmother of Bobby Fruits and Nathan and Kyle Nawalaniec, whom she truly loved and enjoyed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; mother, Mildred; and father, Fred.
Service: 11 a.m. today at Waite & Son Funeral Homes, Brunswick Chapel, 3300 Center Road. Father John McDonough will officiate.
Burial: Maple Hill Cemetery, Hinckley.
Ruth L. Patterson
Ruth L. Patterson, 95, of Lodi, formerly of Cora, W.Va., departed this life for her heavenly home on Saturday, April 14, 2001, at Medina General Hospital.
She resided with her granddaughter and her husband, Linda and Richard Sampsell. Mrs. Patterson was cherished and affectionately called "Grandma" by a number of local residents spanning a period of 37 years. She will be sorely missed by her family and many friends.
She is survived by her daughters, Catherine Ribble of Austin, Texas, Virginia (Williard) Lynn of Willoughby, Ruth (Joe) Cocimano of Annapolis, Md., and Betty (Ralph) Hagedorn of Naples, Fla.; sons, Joe (Jewel) Patterson of Joliet, Ill., Frank Patterson of Cora and Charles Patterson of Whitman, W.Va.; half sister, Sally Olivas of Lake Forest, Calif.; 22 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vern, and sons, Junior and John.
Service: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Collins Funeral Home, Switzer, W.Va.
A memorial service may be held in Lodi at a later date.
Christina L. Sutton
Christina L. Sutton, 29, of Malvern, Ohio, passed away suddenly Sunday, April 15, 2001.
She was born in Medina to Mike and Alvina (Moltz) Voshall. Mrs. Sutton was a member of Minerva First Presbyterian Church, NEOPC and MDA sponsor. She attended Edison College and was a Phi Beta Kappa. She was a housewife.
She is survived by her parents; husband, David Sutton, whom she married on May 4, 1996; daughters, Victoria and Grace Sutton of the home; mother-in-law and father-in-law, David and Sandy Sutton of Minerva; brother, Mike Malott of West Salem; and half brother, Michael Malott of Canton.
Service: 11 a.m. Thursday at Gotschall-Hutchinson Funeral Home, 206 E. Lincolnway, Minerva. The Rev. Eric Pasanchin will officiate.
Burial: East Lawn Cemetery.
Visiting hours: 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Paula R. White
Paula R. White, 37, of Cleveland, died Thursday, April 12, 2001, at Cleveland MetroHealth Medical Center.
She was born Dec. 29, 1963, in Cleveland and was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, David White; mother, Rose Koleski; stepfather, John Koleski; father, Robert Caso; daughter, Danielle White; brother, Peter Caso; sister, Kathy McCormack; stepsister, Kim Parker; stepbrother, John Koleski; and grandmother, Stella Koleski.
Memorial Mass: 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 929 Pearl Road, Brunswick.

Emily Williams
Emily "Iris" Williams (nee Hurt), 72, of Medina, died Sunday, April 15, 2001, at the Cleveland Clinic after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Roanoke, Va., and was a Medina County resident for 49 years. She was a custodian for Medina City Schools for 20 years.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, James and Mary Kate Williams of Brunswick; daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Al Habeeb of Omaha, Neb.; grandchildren, Troy and Ryan Williams, Tonia Mason, and Kellie and Jennifer Habeeb; and great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Shaun Mason.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman.
